MATILDA'S POV

Immediately I finished my task at Alpha Moses' chamber, I left there to the slave quarters, unable to explain what was going through my body other than seeing my mate with another woman.

I did not stop until I got to the slave's quarters.

By the time I arrived at the slave's quarters, I was breathing very hard, and not just that I felt a certain kind of pain, the same way I had felt when Alpha Moses got poisoned but I did not know why I was feeling the pain.

I remembered that Eva had told me that I only get to feel that pain if my mate was hurt. I had felt the sudden pain earlier this morning when I was cleaning and that was the reason I had run to check on Alpha Moses in his room only to see that he was not hurt at all, but he was with a woman in his room, he had even tried to make a mockery of me in her presence.
