12: PREPARATION

Alpha Arther had already gotten home and was able to receive a letter for an invitation to go to the banquet but what made him worried was that they also wanted to Letitia’s presence at the banquet. He already told Letitia to not head into the Royal Palace as it would be dangerous for him. The King Rogue would be there and some of the nobles and business owners who are opposed to her to be at the Rasleton forest.

Alpha Arther massages his head after receiving a message from Letitia that she wants to go there. "Letitia, the Royal Palace is not a place for you to go in. There will be strong wolves that are coming there. The banquet is not just a celebration but also a battlefield. Nobles, Royalties, and business owners will go there to have connections and you who is the woman in the prophecy, some of them will keep an eye on you. I am not saying this just so you could not go to the banquet but it is for your safety," Alpha Arther speaks in front of Letitia.

She stares at Alpha Arther’s eyes and speaks. "What am I gonna do them? Stay here and do nothing? Arther, I am not just a woman. I will be living here since I don’t have a place to go back in my world anymore. I wanted to go there for me to be able to used to live here. A bird who always stays in her cage won’t be able to learn to fly. I need to adapt to the changes while living in this world," Letitia explained making Alpha Arther shut his mouth and just look at Letitia.

Beta Scott and Serion were both surprised at what the lady said as no one was trying to oppose the Alpha’s decision but only her. This is the first time that someone who done it. Beta Scott waiting for their Alpha’s response, Alpha Arther just lets out a heavy sigh and speaks.

"Fine, I agree. If ever we are at the Royal Ballroom tomorrow night, stay with me. Don’t get out of my sight so I could protect you." Letitia drew a smile on her face and thanked the Alpha. Beta Scott looked at his Alpha and was surprised to see the gradual changes in him. He now sees him smiling which he didn’t see since they were a child.

Since the banquet is tomorrow, Alpha Arther has decided to bring a designer. They were able to create a stunning gown for Letitia based on her and Noelle’s design suggestions. Letitia could not believe she was wearing something like this. In her previous life, despite the fact that both of her parents are well-known in society, they never allowed her to be seen by the public, and everyone knew they only had one child and Letitia was their maid.

"The dress will be here tomorrow morning, I will make sure it will fit you well, miss," the designer speaks while smiling then later on walks away from them.

"I can’t believe I will be able to see you dressed in a stunning gown going to the banquet, miss! I am happy to help you with the preparations! I will make sure you will be the one that stands out in the royal ball tomorrow evening," Noelle exclaimed which made Letitia giggle.

"I am happy that you will be the one to assist me with the preparations, Noelle. I am kind of nervous by the way. I don’t know what kind of people, wolves rather, I will meet at the banquet but I want to do it since I am now living here," Letitia replied and sat on a chair.

"But miss, as long as you are with Alpha Arther no one would hurt you. Alpha Arther is the second strongest wolf in the kingdom, he is next to the King, always remember that," Noelle assured her making her smile. "Another thing, it seems that you can also fight for yourself. It is just that wolves are really stronger than human beings," she added.

"My grandfather was the one who taught me this when my grandparents were still alive. Thanks to my grandpa, I was able to do things on my own as he taught me many things to live. He may be strict but because of his strictness, I am who I am," Letitia remembering his grandfather.

"Eh? For sure your grandfather of yours is a really strong and good man. You are lucky to have him then," Noelle replied and smiled at her.

The night for the banquet has come and Letitia is now wearing her stunning dark violet off-shoulder fitted gown added with purple accessories that blooms her beauty. She can’t believe what she saw in the mirror. She looks like her grandmother when she was at her age, she is very stunning!

"Oh my gosh, miss! You are very beautiful!" Noelle exclaimed then pulled her face closer to her ears and whispered. "Much more beautiful than the Queen." Letitia just giggled at Noelle.

"The Queen for sure is much beautiful than me, Noelle. She is known for her beauty, just like a goddess. Now, help me head outside the room. Arther might be waiting for me there, I hope this dress is good in his eyes," Letitia worriedly speaks.

"Of course it is! You are his mate, he will like it for sure!" Noelle exclaimed again assisting Letitia. She was kind of nervous about what the Alpha would think about her right now. She let out a deep sigh and continued to walk. Someone opened the door and there she saw Alpha Arther wearing his black suit making her blush as she saw how handsome Alpha Arther was! His cold appearance gradually changes when he senses Letitia’s presence and is surprised to see Letitia’s new face.

"Letitia?" Alpha Arther called her name, bringing her back to reality and slowly walking down. Alpha Arther's gaze is drawn to Letitia wearing her stunning dress. She appeared to have changed dramatically. "You're beautiful," he said, kissing Letitia on the forehead with a smile on his face.

Letitia says, "Thank you," and giggles. The two of them are now getting into a carriage that will take them to the royal palace. Alpha Arther helped Letitia to the carriage, clutching her hand tightly. The people of Rasleton Forest could travel anywhere in their wolf form, but for a formal celebration, they had to ride in a carriage.

Beta Scott, on the other hand, continues to stare at Letitia, as she appears familiar to him. Beta Scott saw someone with the same face as Letitia but can't recall where he saw it, but he was certain that person was also very important to their wolf race. Beta Scott simply shook his head and followed them in the carriage to the Royal Palace.
