Fifty Seven.

Aria’s POV

No, it had to be a lie, he wouldn’t promise my life to someone else. Not when he had worked so hard to keep Ryan from me and not when he had no say over my life.

‘Wake up, wake up’ I mutter to myself as I squeeze my eyes shut.

“Aria, I am sorry but I would rather see you alive than dead, even if it meant we cannot always be together.”

‘Wake up, it’s just a nightmare.’ A mate wouldn’t do something like this, not if they really cared.

Peeking out of one eye, Elijah is staring at me, waiting for me to say something but this had to be a dream. It couldn’t be the truth and I pinch myself over and over, feeling the pain of each one.

Turning to look at Chepi she nods her head. Elijah wasn’t lying.

“You should have let me die!” I snap at him, this was the last place I wanted to be and maybe death would have been easier.

"I can't do that!"

"So you sold me for a deal, you made me a slave to someone else?"

Chepi rests her hands on my shoulders, pulling me around to look at her.
