ETHAN'S POV

I drove downtown into the woods till my car couldn't go further anymore. I alighted, carried the box deeper into the woods where people hardly pass through. I dropped the box and sat down in one of the dry wood. I brought out my phone when it vibrated inside my pocket indicating it was ringing.

"Am successfully out of the palace now. Where are you?" Ava asked through the line.

"Am far away in the woods at the outskirts of the pack" I replied

"Just stay on the low and don't let anyone close to that box no matter what, don't leave your position now. I will be there in a short while", she said more like an order and ended the call.

I pocketed my phone back and leaned my head on the tree behind when the thought of what has been happening for the past few days flashed through my memory which got me thinking of how much my life has changed towards Ava.

"What is wrong with me? How do I get to the bottom of this madness" I mumbled.

I Know within myself that something is wrong with

Ethan's POVI left the room in anger. Considering the fact that I make. A fool of myself each time am with Ava. I always agree to help her with her dirty work and yet she sees me as nothing but a pimp to be used and dumped anytime she wishes. She doesn't even care if I am happy or sad, crying or laughing, all she knows is herself alone. Yet I keep wondering when I grew such an affection towards Ava that compels me to do her bidding."Ahhhh, who does she think she is, huh? I yelled, smashing the flower vase beside me."I have gotten myself into another mess of hers and she has the guts to threaten the hell outta me", I fumed."It's alright. I have gotten myself entangled in it already and it's right I finish what I started", I mumbled."Sir your palm is bleeding", A male worker alerted me."Let me help you, sir"."No, it's fine. I will have it treated immediately. Thanks for your kindness", I smiled lightly and left."AVA'S POVI watched as he left without saying a word, then I smiled.

ALANA’s POVI hated the smell of the hospital and while Davis was sorting out what to do, my patience was slowly wearing out. I didn't know how many days I would be here, so I couldn't help but hope it would not be long. The door suddenly open and I felt his presence before I could lay my eyes on him. My wolf howled with joy at the presence of her mate."How do you feel?" His thick voice had my entire stomach filled with butterflies. Alaric's huge effect on me, was something I couldn't understand and while many would allude it to the mate bond, I couldn't help but believe my love for Alaric transcended beyond that."Alana!" I snapped at out of my thoughts as Alaric's voice came through again. "Are you alright?" He asked showing concerns about my well being."Since when did you decided to be all caring? I thought you did not want to see me." I asked still finding it hard to believe Alaric's words."Look, I am sorry for the way I have treated you and I am here to make it up to you." Aga

AVA’s POVI saw one of the men holding a device that was both producing the sound of numerous heartbeats and wafting out different scents of food. That made me deduce that those guys knew about werewolfs, and they were certainly not friendly. I felt them coming closer to me as I lay on the ground, grimacing. I noticed that I said felt, not heard. That's right, they didn't have footsteps, and once I listened past the fake heartbeats, I realized that they didn't have heartbeats as well. That was an anomaly, and I'd never heard or seen something like that before. Even werewolfs had heartbeats; did that mean that there were other kinds of supernaturals out there? One of the men raised his hand to his ear, and what I heard made me realize that I had just gotten into more danger than I could have ever thought possible."We've got one that jumped out immediately; she scented the food, sir, though we aren't sure of what she is because she fell to the ground like a normal human and is currentl

91AVA’S POV"Ava, run faster!" Colette screamed. As I heard that, I subconsciously observed my surroundings."Oh, crap," I muttered. Were those guys floating? The two men were gliding after me, and they were almost catching up to me. And I noticed that they were not wearing black suits; they were wearing black robes. I ran faster than I ever thought I could a year ago, but it just wasn't enough; the men were gaining on me.I didn't stop to power my jump as I leapt from the ground, so I didn't have enough force propelling me while I was midair. I expected to see an expression of joy on Colette's face as I neared the window edge, but her mouth was open in a silent scream. Then everything happened at once. I felt a strong sucking force pulling me down; it felt like the force of gravity had increased my weight a thousand times. At the same time, I felt rough and cold hands grab me. That was the last sensation I felt before I saw the surrounding space split open to swallow us all.Colette

Collette’s POV"I'll do this alone," I said to Adrian and Martha, bearing huge grudges towards them both."We want to find Ava as much as you do, you know," Martha said, lowering her head unhappily.I knew they were hurting, but I was in no mood to comfort them; they were the reason Ava was gone in the first place."If your ward had worked in the first place, we wouldn't have to be searching for her," I said in a cold voice. I wasn't planning to humor them; they messed up seriously, and they should know it."We didn't know it wouldn't work," Adrian said."That doesn't make Ava any less gone, does it?" I asked. They lowered their heads, neither of them replying."Glad we have that settled; if that's all, I'm leaving to find her," I said to them."Let us come along," Adrian said."You would be of no use to me; as you know, those who captured her weren't humans. Therefore, I don't want to have to protect you when I should be rescuing Ava," I explained in the same cold voice."You're mad

AVA’S POV"So it's just a school?" I asked, acting like I was willing to accept my plight."Yes, and to convince you further, think about this. If the witches were experimenting on supernatural species, they ended up creating an enhanced supernatural with greater powers than any of us. That won't be a problem if the supernatural can be kept under control, but we'd all be at risk if the supernatural went berserk. Do you understand now?" He asked."Yes," I replied."How many supernatural species are there?" I asked."Witches, genetically modified humans (GMH), Werewolfs, werewolves—that's all there is for now.Holy water, seawater, sunlight, and wolfsbane Those are the weaknesses of the species as well. There are other species as well, but they either went extinct or went into different realms with time," he explained."What is the purpose of the school, though?" I asked."We teach young paranormals the ancient arts of magic. It's the only way we can win the war since we don't have the

AVA’S POVI was standing on a beach, and I was looking at the broad back of a tall man. I walked closer to him, calling him by who he was to me."Father," I called. He turned around, and I felt power like I'd never felt before. He had white hair and a white beard, though he didn't look old at all. His eyes were gold, and his face looked royal and majestic. The man is strong enough to create and destroy realms and write history. My real father, Essendale. His power was non threatening to me; instead, it felt very warm and comforting, like home."Hello, Avaquel," he smiled. So that was the full version of my name, Avaquel."It is nice to finally meet you, my daughter," he said.I didn't say anything; I just stood there, observing him."I know you must have lots of questions for me... and I assure you, I will answer them all in due time," he said."I only hope you don't resent your mother and me for being absent for most of your life. She misses you every day, and she has refused to see

Alaric’s POV It was evening at the pack and while every pack member where simply out in the fields, harvesting the fresh crops provided by the moon goddess, by watering the ground. I sat by the throne in my chambers all alone, my thought concentrated on Alana. She has filled up my mind beyond my comprehension and I couldn't help but wonder,if the mage bond was a huge factor in the situation. While I was still stuck in visualizing her beautiful crafted eyes and her amazing body, the doors held an annoying sound disrupting my thoughts in that beautiful moment. I was about cursing the one who had the audacity to pull my put of this intense thought of mine, only to realize, it was none other than Davis, my beloved Beta."Alpha." He mentioned and bowed his head, to which I signalled him to get up to his feet."Alpha the ball is tomorrow and the pack appears to be in a festive mood. However, I need to know of you would be bringing your future Luna tomorrow. "In that moment, while he was spea

Alan’s POV Lisa was also an omega, but she had a better name than I did. She didn't get insulted as often as I did since she was still a member of the pack, while I was just a slave omega who was sold.I tried to ignore them, but their taunts grew louder. Tears welled up in my eyes, but I refused to let them fall. Instead, I held my head high and continued walking. lisa understood how I felt, and she touched me, giving me strength. I knew I had to be strong and not let them defeat me.Whenever lisa was with me, the chances of getting bullied were slimmer. We had been friends since the day I was sold into the pack. She was one of the few people who saw me for who I was and didn't judge me based on the circumstances of my life. Having her by my side gave me much-needed comfort. I often thought she would have been a great mate if she were a guy.We finished up and made our way back to the outskirts of the city. I couldn't help but think about the upcoming celebration that everyone was t

Alana’s POV "Slave Alanna, do you still have anything to say?" The Alpha's loud voice met my ears; he was talking to me. My head was bowed, and I was sure I looked guilty.Slowly, I raised it, tears clouding my eyes, never mind, I was just a weak human and couldn't stop myself from crying. "I didn't do anything to luna." The words choked out of me. I wanted him to believe me, but he didn't."Drop this act, you wretched witch. You did this to me!" The Alpha of the Jade pack, my mate's wife, yelled at me. "You did this," she said again.I shifted my gaze to her, forcing myself to speak. "You're all lying," I muttered in a whisper. "What would you gain?"I was being accused of slapping the Luna. What reason would I have for doing that? I was just an omega slave, and she was a werewolf Luna. How in God's name could I slap her? They weren't thinking."Alanna, did you slap the Luna?"Alaric, my mate, asked."I.. I.. I mean" I couldn't speak, and everyone began to murmur."See, Alpha, she's

AVA’S POVPacing around the room, I knew the importance of the coronation and I couldn't help but let my emotions becloud my sense of reason."Ava you need to calm down." Collete voice pulled me out of my deep thought. "You don't have to be bothered by Alana." I stopped on my track. Mere hearing that name pulled a certain anger within my vein."That bitch had succeeded in taking everything away from me. I used to think about my life with Alaric and right now,it is obvious my hopes are gone down the drain." I didn't know my voice were loud. I hated that someone like Alanna would take Alaric away from me and all I had in mind was nothing short of revenge."What are you going to do?" Collette questioned and indeed it was the same question that lingered through my heart. What exactly am i going to do about Alanna. It was about time I dealt with her appropriately. While my mind was in deep thought about my next line of action. I suddenly felt a wave of energy hovering around the place and

Alana’s POV Huh What was happening?"Baby, who is she?" She eyed me, or more so, the coat I was wearing. "Darling," he responded, my heart breaking into a million pieces at the name he just called her. "She's my mate and new slave. Do you like her?""You brought your mate here without consulting me? Alaric..." She dragged."I don't remember having to take orders from you." The alpha frowned."I'm sorry, baby, it's just..." Again, she looked at the coat. I'm sure she recognizes it as Alpha Alaric's."Don't think too much." He stated, walking to stand beside her, facing me. "Ava, meet Hazel, my omega mate and slave," he began introducing. "Omega," he referred to me, "meet Ava, my wife." What His wife? Alpha Alaric already had a chosen mate?God, was this a joke? It was a cruel joke indeed."Baby, why does she look pale?" Ava looked disgusted at me."It's how omegas act when they see beautiful things." He snickered. He was rejecting me directly. Damn, it hurt so bad. Whatever he wa

Alana’s POVI jerked back to reality, my attention back to the man in front of me. He was glaring at me."I'd like to get started, if you're willing to pay attention now." The Alpha grumbled.Without waiting for an answer, he signaled to the elder to begin the ceremony."Ladies and gentlemen, it is my honor to be here at the Sun Moon Pack today to bless the union of these two children of the Moon Goddess. Shall we?"He looked at my mate, and he nodded once. The elder looked to me with a soft smile, which I returned."Do you, Hazel?" He stumbled for a second, and I smiled sheepishly. The Elder cleared his throat and started again. "Do you, Hazel of the Sun Moon Pack, accept this union and my blessings?""I do," I muttered."And do you acknowledge and accept that henceforth, you will no longer be a member of the Sun Moon Pack?""Yes." I replied a little more eagerly, Who wouldn't be happy to leave the place called hell?"Then, as an Elder of the Werewolf Sitting Council, I hereby strip

Alana’s POV"Hurry up, slave! You have no work to do, after all. Did you even bathe? You stink," barked the Alpha, his tone filled with disdain.I rolled my eyes, growing tired of his constant belittling. I couldn't comprehend why the Alpha thought it was a good idea to assign his spoiled omega sex slave to help me prepare for my mating ritual. It was beyond me. When my mate was in the pack, they allowed me to rest, although my mate would occasionally yank me out of bed by my hair if I got too comfortable. Since then, the slave, Jennifer, had done nothing but waste time on her phone and hurl insults at me with her attitude."Yes, Jennifer," I muttered, my voice laced with irritation. She snorted in response and returned her attention to her phone. I was nearly ready for the ritual. My thick brown hair had been pulled up into an elegant twist, with the veil neatly tucked into place. I hadn't worn any makeup, so I had no choice but to embrace my natural appearance. It didn't bother me

All of the paranormals in the pack were assembled on the open ground; they were all listening to Vron's final speech before the battle."My friends, the battle is upon us. Today! We emerge victorious against the pureblood! Charge! He yelled.Everyone on the field charged in the direction that the purebloods were coming from.Alana was levitating over them all, watching them charge. She sent Alaric to safety while Colette, who was about as powerful as Rawlaine, fought alongside the others on the ground. Alana wasn't taking part in their battle; her opponents weren't the ant-like wolfs of the Nosferatu, but the twelve purebloods. She didn't have to wait long before they arrived. They attacked her in the sky as soon as they arrived on the battlefield."Hmph, these are the roaches that want to take my powers for themselves." She scoffed. She deflected all of their attacks with a single wave of her hands."You have all been thorns in my father's side; today, you will cease to exist," she s

Alana’s POVThe last week came, and I started my training with Lawson. He was polite and cheerful as always, and I was very friendly to him as well. He fought hard, but I took special care not to defeat him even once. That would make his guard low. I knew that I could defeat him, even though I couldn't defeat Rawlaine. If I wasn't wrong, Rawlaine was the most powerful wolf alive in the human realm, apart from the pureblood, if not the most powerful supernatural. On the last day of my training with Lawson, he politely asked for a word with me."Can we take a walk?" He asked."Sure," I replied. We walked to the edge of Lake Geneva, which was on the border of the pack's territory."I heard from one of the witches that you had a shouting row with Rawlaine over me a week ago," he started.I pretended to get enraged on his behalf again. ,"Yes, he was slandering you just to get me to like him. What an attention-seeking jerk!" I exclaimed."He wasn't always like that, you know," he said."He

Ava’S POVA loud siren suddenly started blaring, making my head hurt badly."All residents of the pack are to assemble in the general hall immediately," said the voice of Vron, the leader of the pack and the instructor of the Numbers.I got dressed quickly and went to the hall alongside Belle, who explained everything about the pack that Five and Ven had left out. There were only twelve of the numbers left. Vron was a witch, and the most powerful among the werewolves were the triplet grandchildren of Count Dracula, which were Lawson, the guy from yesterday, herself, and someone called Rawlaine. They were sixty-three years old each, and they were opposing their grandfather by choosing the opposite side from him in the war."We used to be so close when we were young, but something happened. Rawlaine doesn't interact with anyone anymore; it's rumored that something happened to him some twenty years ago." Belle looked sad as she said that."The strongest of the werewolves are the five des
