I am pulled back into myself, and Divina and I are still locked in our battle with my forehead against hers and my hands holding her face still. She pushes me back with a strength I had no idea she possessed and glares at me with her blue eyes swimming in tears. She is angry with me for forcing her to face reality. A feral cry leaves her lips, and she launches herself at me. At first, I was resolved to let her get her frustrations out and was going to let her use me as a human punching bag, but shit, her hits fucking hurt! I do my best to dodge and block her attacks without harming her, but she is moving faster than I have ever seen her move in training. She is like an avenging angel that plans to burn the entire world down around her.

My eyes widen when her entire body starts to glow, and her hair mov

---Divina--- “I’m going to run you a shower and let you get changed into fresh clothes. I’m sorry to say it but, baby girl, you stink,” Dad says and wrinkles his nose at me. He lets me down and I rub the back of my neck sheepishly. “Yeah, not taking a shower in 3 months will do that,” Greg says behind me. I am mortified. I just let him hold me for several minutes and he never said a word about me being stinky. My face flushes bright red and I turn to rush off to the shower when I realize I have no idea how to get back to where we were staying. The place where I blew the roof off.

  • The Alpha's Angel Mate   Chapter 68: Sparring

When I wake up, I find that I have been tucked snuggly under the covers of Greg’s bed. I can smell his sandalwood scent all around me and I am still in my towel much to my relief, at least he didn’t try to dress me. The thought has me cringing. Just what I would need, one of my best friend’s seeing parts of me they shouldn’t. I blanch at the thought. I gather my towel around me and find the clothes that Greg had promised to bring me draped over the chair in the corner. They are simple, a well worn pair of jeans and a light top that has a low cut back. I found it odd, at first, until I realized it was made in such a way that my wings could come out without ripping my clothes. Hmm. Maybe I should keep that in mind when I get back home. I get dressed and walk into the bathroom and laugh out loud when I see my hair. I sigh and pull my clothes off and step back in the shower and rewash myself quickly and pay extra atte

---Greg--- Dinner was quiet. Not awkward, just quiet. The meals here are simple but filling so I can’t complain too much. I would kill for a pizza though. Divina keeps staring at her dad with eyes shining as bright as a child on Christmas morning. She seems content to just be around him and not say a word. We clear the table after we are done eating and Michael pulls out an old metal tin and places it on the table. I look over at it curiously and shake my head. “You want us to play dominos?” I ask. Divina squeals with excitement and scurries over to her chair and bounces in her seat. She pulls the lid off the tin, dumps the dominos out, and starts mixing them up. Michael sits down and watches her work.

  • The Alpha's Angel Mate   Chapter 70: Nightmares

I don’t know when I actually drifted off to sleep. I barely fit in this recliner, but I managed to get semi comfortable. I am a light sleeper, hazard of being a Beta and a warrior. Always on guard even when it seems I am relaxed. I look around and try to figure out what woke me up. A soft whimper and movement catch my attention. Divina is thrashing in her sleep and mumbling, but I can’t quite make out what she is saying. I’m not sure if I should wake her or leave her be but decide to let it go when she seems to settle down a bit. I start to drift back off to sleep when she lets out a blood curdling scream and her breathing becomes ragged. She is crying hysterically now, and she starts to plead in her sleep, “Please! Don’t do this. Don’t throw me away. Warrick, PLEASE!” Goddess my heart clenches in my c

  • The Alpha's Angel Mate   Chapter 71: Blurring Lines

It’s been two months since Greg made me face reality. I would love to say that living without Warrick is getting easier, but that is not the case. The nightmares are worse. I wake up most mornings with Greg wrapped around me and I know he came to me during the night to comfort me. We start out in our own rooms now that my roof has been fixed, but he never fails to be there for me. Guilt. Guilt consumes me as well because I see how much my nightmares affect his sleep. He hasn’t had a full night of sleep in months, but he never complains. He just continues to be my friend and the anchor that keeps me from floating off into insanity. I have had long conversations with my father. Many have become very uncomfortable. I have siblings. My dad has fallen in love many times over the years and all of his children are immortal. I am the only one that has ever exhibited power like this though. The brother that is closest to me in age is 500 years older than me. All in

I pull myself up onto the shore and make my way to the gardens. When they come into view a little girl with light brown hair and medium brownskin runs toward me. Her grey eyes are sparkling when she squeals my name and wraps her arms around my leg. “Youw hewe!” she says in that way that little ones do when they can’t pronounce their r’s. “I’m here,” I say with a chuckle. She grips my hand and drags me toward the strawberry patch. “Why awe you all wet? Did you fall in the watah?” she asks. “Greg happened. He jumped in with me,” I say. She looks up at me with a knowing look and says, “He wikes you vewy much.” She smiles innocently and tugs me down to my knees so we can start picking the ripe strawberries. Instead of placing them in the basket, Arie pops each one she picks into her mouth. I chuckle and shake my head. “You’re supposed to put them in the basket, silly!” I say. She looks up at me and grins with strawberry seeds all in her teeth. “I will, I

---Warrick--- “Don’t fucking touch me, Vanessa!” I growl and push her away. Vanessa showed up the day that Alpha Training started and hasn’t left me alone since. I won’t allow her to stay with me in my room, but because we are betrothed, she insists on being here. Over my dead body. I will not honor that damn contract. I only tolerate her presence in hopes she gives something a way that will tell me why the hell our parents are siding with demons. She pouts but leaves me alone in my room. Goddess, I hate her. My thoughts go back to the moments before she entered. I could have sworn I felt Divina’s presence. I haven’t felt it like this since I reject

---Greg---There are eight of us surrounding Divina. She doesn’t know it, but we are all going to charge her at once and see how she does with such an attack. She is casually talking to her father when we all attack without warning. One moment she is there in front of us and the next she is giggling behind me. I whirl around and look at her bewildered. I open my mouth to ask her how she did that, when she disappears again. “What the hell!” I cry out. I hear her laughter to my left and turn my head in time to see her disappear again only to reappear directly in front of me. She punches me in the stomach and delivers the perfect upper cut when I bend over from the impact. As I start to fall back from the upper cut, she latches on to me and follows, using my momentum to flip herself over m

--Warrick-- “I have a surprise for you,” I tell Divina and she looks up at me, her brow creasing slightly in confusion. “What, surprise?” she asks and looks around the front yard. Her eyes land on Greg standing on the porch by Aria and a huge grin spreads across his face and he waggles his eyebrows. Divina snorts at his antics and looks back at me. “Why is he acting like a goofball?” she asks, warily. Her eyes are wide, and she looks more innocent and beautiful than I have ever seen her. No makeup, the freckles that lightly dust her cheeks and nose on display for me to see, and her hair is starting to come loose from her hastily thrown back hair. I take her natural beauty in and am more determined to show her we could work. Ember and Milly come running around the corner of the house, shrieking in delight as one of the older pups chase them across the lawn. Divina’s face lights up as she watches Ember, and I can see the mother she will someday be, and I am more than ready to start

Greg watches as Warrick ushers Aria and Liam inside and I can hear the distant laughter of Ember and Milly as they run across the back yard, playing tag. When the door closes, he focuses his attention on me and studies my face for a long moment before taking my hand and tugging me along. I don’t ask him where we are going, content to just walk silently beside him enjoying the warmth of him. We walk and walk for a good ten minutes before Greg stops suddenly and turns to me. “Tell me what’s bothering you, Angel,” he says and watches me intently. I groan and drop my head into my hands. “Where do I even start!” I wail and then everything tumbles out of me. “I’ve been asleep for three freaking years, Greg! I lost three years of your life, the rest of my family’s life, Bren, Brandon, Gloria, Damien, Ember.” My voice cracks at the end when I say Ember’s name. “Hey, it’s okay. Shhh,” Greg says, and pulls me into his arms and presses my head to his chest. I don’t fight him. I need the comfort o

---Warrick--- It has been a week since Divina woke up, but we have barely gotten any time alone. As soon as the word got out that she was awake just about everyone she knows, and loves converged on us. Ember has barely left her side and is afraid that Divina will go back to sleep and not wake up again no matter how many times we assure her that won’t happen. I moved us back into the pack house and we are currently sitting on the porch swing with Divina tucked up under my arm and her head resting on my shoulder. My fingers lightly grazing up and down her arm as I relish in her closeness. She lets out a content sigh and snuggles in closer. Little Ember is nestled in my lap with her feet draped onto Divina. She is always touching her now. Always. (After it was clear that Divina wasn’t going to wake up anytime soon, I drug myself away from her and made the long trip to the Timberwolf Pack and brought Ember home with me. I knew Divina would not want her left there and I have grown to lo

  • The Alpha's Angel Mate   Chapter 123: Three Years Later

---Divina--- Oh, God, my head throbs and I am too hot. Way too hot. Why does it feel like I am pressed against a furnace? I try to move, but a weight is pressing down on my chest and my arms are not wanting to cooperate. What the hell is tickling my nose? I blink my eyes open only to slam them shut as white-hot light pours into my eyes from the window. I groan and turn my head to the side trying to get away from whatever is tickling me and that damned bright light. I feel something shift and move on my chest. It feels like little hands and feet scrambling to a sitting position. “Are you awake?” a little whisper sounds close to my ear causing me to flinch. When I try to speak my voice is hoarse and my throat is dry. “Yes?” I say and it comes out as a question. I blink my eyes and stare into beautiful green eyes, with an angelic freckled face that is framed by flaming red curls. “Ember? What are you doing here and when did you get so big?” I ask. Ember’s eyes grow soft, and she gives

  • The Alpha's Angel Mate   Chapter 122: The End of Ahrimon

It is complete chaos as the crowd tries to get out of my way. I could care less about any of them. My only thought is to get that angel bitch and then make Warrick pay when I am done with her. I wonder if I should kill him too, or just make him watch as I snuff out her life and then force him to be my slave mate. Hmm. That actually soudns appealing. I could ask Ahrimon to compel him with her bite. If he survived it that is. It’s been an option all along, but I have been hesitant to use it because demons kill their mates more often than not when trying to mark them. The blood lust is unreal and hard for them to control themselves. Like a vampire, but a hundred times worse. Our eyes lock on our target and we make a beeline for her, not caring who is in our way. We toss werewolves and pups around like they are rag dolls and their cries of anguish fill us with pleasure down to our bones. Ahrimon was made for chaos and destruction and she shivers in pure bliss at the upheaval we are causing

“I am so nervous! I can’t believe this day is finally here!” I exclaim and marvel at the beautiful dress my best friend, Janae, picked out for me. “You look absolutely stunning!” she says and smooths down the sides of my dress. I squeal and do a little happy dance. “Oh, this is really happening!” Janae sighs and turns me around to face her. “I hope you know what you are doing. All those things you have told me about Warrick in the past.... I just hope this isn’t some revenge plot or something to get you and your family back for killing his mate.” I scoff and knock her hand off my shoulder, “Nobody killed her. She is still alive and being held prisoner as we speak.” She raises an eyebrow and gives me “the look”. “What?” I ask her. “Does Warrick know she is being held prisoner right now?” she asks. “I... I don’t think so.” I tell her. My confidence starting wain. “You sure about that?” she asks. “Look. Even if he does know, he doesn’t care about her anymore. She chose that Greg guy ov

--Vanessa-- As I watch Warrick drive away the reality of becoming his Luna sets in and I can’t help the wide smile that spreads across my face. Finally, I am going to take my rightful place by his side. Daddy will be so proud of me for not ever giving up even after Warrick kicked me out of his apartment. I have been told my whole life that I would be Luna of the Blood Moon Pack and our pups would be the key to changing the world so that werewolves and demons would take our rightful place as masters of this world and those who have driven us into the shadows will suffer the consequences! The angels’ and humans’ time on this earth are numbered. No more Miss Perfect Angel, with her stupid perfect skin and hair, and her strange blue eyes, standing in my way. She must be the daughter of one of the Archangels to have even survived what my dad did to her. I can’t believe Selene would pair a werewolf, angel hybrid with a werewolf demon hybrid. What kind of sick joke was she playing when she

I pull my Camaro off the side of the road and stare at the entrance to my pack's territory. I haven’t been back here in so long. The thought of what I am about to do turns my stomach and I come close to turning my car around. “Hey, Warrick, is that you?” my father’s Beta calls to me from the gate entrance. “Yeah, it’s me. How’ve you been, Beta Gedeon?” I ask. He walks to the edge of the entrance and squints over at me for a moment before answering. “I’ve been good. What brings you back here? I didn’t know you were coming,” he asks. I clear my throat and take my time answering, “I’m here to see Vanessa. I heard she was staying here while our dads were away.” Gedeon gives me a long look and sighs, “Yeah, she’s here. That girl is bat shit crazy.” I couldn’t agree more, but I have a part to play. I am out of my car and in his face before he can blink and wrap my hand around his throat. “Don’t you ever disrespect my future Luna like that again,” I growl in his face. Gedeon’s eyes go wid

  • The Alpha's Angel Mate   Chapter 118: Plans

Over these past few weeks, I have been busy. I got word to Divina’s father and gave him all the details. We’ve been in constant contact making plans. Greg and Aria are an integral part of these plans. I hate having to rely on him again, but no one can know that Divina and I have had contact, so when we do formulate an escape plan, I can’t be there. The Angel settlements know the danger coming their way and have joined together unlike anything I have ever seen. From what Greg has shared with me, they were a peaceful people and didn’t know how to fight and had just been relying on staying hidden this whole time. I find that hard to believe because I have been helping to train the men, they have sent to the Timberwolf Pack, and they are vicious fighters and have learned very quickly. More than once, they have mentioned Divina’s fighting skills and how she would take on multiple men at once and it was like she was dancing through and around them. One man spoke how fighting should be so vio
