The party

Scott’s pov:

I was always grumpy whenever there was an event in the house. It brought in different guests from every nook and cranny. I didn't like the idea because of the insecurity and attacks we have been facing lately.

How could my mom and Anna be insensitive even after I had a talk with them about it, but they insisted? They both agreed to cancel it because of the attack and Emma’s captivity.

But since Emma was back, they decided to have the party again and sent last-minute invites to a lot of people.

I decided not to say anything anymore since I couldn't win against two women. Anna had even found a way to envelope Emma into the party arrangement. It was a smart move on her part, just so I wouldn't be so angry about it any more.

When Emma disturbed me all through to make calls about a certain bag for Anna, I just knew what I signed up for. The way Emma disturbed me, no one had done that before, and I would not have tolerated anyone disturbing my peace.
