Chapter 9-AZALEA

I sat at the edge of the forest, my phone clutched tightly in my hand. The screen glowed faintly, illuminating the trembling fingers that hovered over the familiar number. My father's number. I felt guilty because he didn't know where I was, if it was up to him, he would think I was settling down in a new apartment. But I was just here, in a pack, where nobody liked me.

Nobody welcomed me here and I wondered why I wanted to stay, maybe because of the pull I had with August? Could that be the reason? Maybe the so called mate bond is why I feel like I can withstand the hatred of the pack just to be near August, or maybe it was the heat August talked about. I really haven't gotten the whole point of the heat.
