Chapter 63 - One last try.

Ava in competition mode was even more breathtaking than Ava the wolf. Watching her glide over the ice on her very sharp blades was not only mesmerizing but also exhilarating. I was glad that she decided to follow her dreams again. Especially after everything she had been through.

We often spoke of the other timelines and what could have happened if the goddess hadn’t intervened. We discussed what could have happened if Ava had just given up on all of us, as well as how incredibly blessed we were that Ava didn’t.

I could see the pain in Ava’s eyes whenever we spoke about Kai and each time we did, I prayed that the moon goddess would bless us one last time by giving us our son back. I knew Ava would have memories of him from her first life, but deep down, something told me that it would be all right. We would be all right.
