Chapter 49 - Mated, married and destined.

We needed to stop in town to pack a couple of our things and Daniel suggested we call the judge to find out if he could marry us. I felt a cold shiver run down the back of my spine the moment I walked upstairs with Daniel behind me, but I shook the feeling out of my thoughts and pushed through.

Daniel called the judge while grandma and I packed and we got legally married in the judge’s office before hitting the road. We were lucky that the town was fairly crime free which meant the judge had an open diary to help us.

It wasn’t the day every girl dreamed about, but we had to make it legal as quickly as possible, before we went to inform my pack. As we expected tensions were high the moment we arrived. My grandmother had already informed the elder council, but the rest of the pack had no idea that we were coming.
