Arabella's POV:

I opened my eyes to welcome the sight of a fluorescent bulb hitting my iris. The intensity of it made me blink. A tear ran down my eyes. It was too painful to manage. I had to close my eyes again.

"I think we've been able to secure here" I heard someone say from afar. She sounded worried. Too worried about whoever she was speaking about.

"Yes, doctor. Her pulse is up and running and her vitals are stable"

She added.

I waited to hear what the doctor over the phone would tell her but the sound of his voice was barely above a whisper. After struggling to eavesdrop, I decided to give up.

"Alright doctor, I'll be on to the next patient"

She hung up. I wanted to peer at her but decided to lay still. I needed to observe first.

I heard footsteps and then felt her hand on my pulse. She pressed on my wrist for a few seconds and then finally let them go.

"Thank the moon goddess," she sighed.

I waited till she was gone before I eventually decided to open my eyes.

Asher's POV"Arabella, I said come out now. I don't want to hurt you and you're already sick." I coughed a little to sound not so serious."Please, darling"I heard nothing. I sighed, "Don't make me come up there, Arabella, I'm already having a bad day as it is. Please come down" my tone lowered into a whisper. I even smiled, "if you come down, I promise, I'll do anything you want"Still nothing."Arabella, what is going on with you?!" My next words failed to come out when my wolf stopped me."I think Arabella is gone. There is nobody there"I rolled my eyes. Again, with the chasing.I said no words as I jumped on the table standing next to the wall and then grabbed the handle next to the manhole in the ceiling. To be honest, I had sensed Arabella's scent ever since but I chose to act oblivious to it. Maybe she was frightened and did not know how to handle so many people around her, which was what I hoped.Apparently not. My arms pulled out the cover of the manhole which came along

Arabella POV:I felt air fading from my lungs and water filling them up instead. I couldn't breathe. I was feeling weak and for some reason, something ached in my abdomen."Help!" I screamed in my head but only bubbles came out of my mouth. I was underwater and drowning to the bottom with speed. I tried to free myself but my luggage was cramped to my leg. The zipper at the end of my jeans was tied to the wheel of my luggage.I shook my leg to free myself but I was drowning fast. The leg shake caused my abdomen to feel like it was rupturing."Help! Help! Help"My wolf could do nothing about it. She didn't answer. My body was too weak. Was I going to die this way?Drown to my death?! Oh no!...A tear rolled off my eyes while I was underwater. I tried my best to rise above the water but it wasn't working. I finally gave up.With one last breath that brought more water into my lungs, I closed my eyes, waiting to die but…. Something pulled me out of the water.I felt air blow on my skin

Arabella's POVI tightened the nerves around my face. That was usually the first sign of me waking up. It was followed by me yawning."Arabella, wake up, we are in a strange land" Wolfie called to me.I slowly opened my eyelids to see a pale figure staring at me with a beaming smile. She looked beautiful and familiar. I blinked a few times before my mouth fell open. I soon realized she was me.I jumped up in surprise while I also gasped. "Who are you?!"She smiled and finally retreated into her seat. She had on a black coak and a wooden staff by her side. "Wakey wakey!"I was still in horror to see someone look awfully familiar to me. It was like I was staring at a mirror."Please, tell me, who are you and why am I here?" My right hand was shading my chest while the left supported my weight on the floor. I was ready to run if I felt any threat."Seems you lost your memory when you fainted. Is it that or maybe the potion we gave to you? " She cackled. A familiar sound I had heard somew

Asher's POVI thought my mate was going to be in the high mountains, that maybe the witches had found her and taken her against her will, but as I went there with my soldiers, I found that she was nowhere to be found. The witches were present and they were as scary as ever, but my mate was nowhere there. I could not sense her."Tell me where I can find her"I commanded. I was ready to shift into my wolf self if they fumbled with their words or made jest of me. I was not going to take no for an answer."Arabella, your mate is not here, go elsewhere and find her. It's my sister's two hundredth birthday and you're disturbing our celebration" I flared my nostrils at them. Even though they were powerful witches which every Werewolf was scared of, I didn't care "If it wasn't you who took her then who did?"The one who spoke first turned to face me. She got up on her feet and began strolling to me. I leaned my chest outward and took in a deep breath, readying myself for whatever she wante

Arabella's PoV"Please tell me what would you have me do?"I fell on my knees again and crawled to them, raising my head to look into the eyes as I begged to be let in.I knew better than anyone but if they let me go, I would have no place to stay. One of the witches cackled. The one that was tall looked at her sister and then back at me. "Well you see we don't have anyone to cook for us and we also have no one to hunt for us, if we take you in, I would have to do those chores without complaint. We will provide a safe place for you to stay but you will be the one to determine how long you will stay by how hard you work""So in summary, what you want me to do is to cook and clean?" I had to be sure I was on the same page with them.Mary and Mary nodded. "Simple and straight to the point right?"Actually, it was easier than I thought. When they had demanded for me to do something for them, I had expected that I would have to sell my soul or perhaps even offer my child but listening to

Alpha Asher's POVI cleared my throat as I commanded the guard to let alpha Nick throughout. I sat comfortably on my throne. I was waiting for him. My finger created a rhythm with the handle of my chair as I took each breath, I was nervous but I wouldn't show it."I heard something funny and I came to check. Hopefully, it is not true" an ornery voice pierced through the silence of my halls. I could hear Alpha Nick nearby."Alpha Nick, it is a pleasure to have you here. To what do I owe this visit again?" I sprang from my chair and walked down my stairs to the common floor to meet him.Alpha Nick entered with about ten of his soliders behind him. Immediately he got in, I signaled my beta wolf to have twenty men wait outside our door.Alpha Nick came to a halt when he was inches away from me. He raised his chin and flared his nose while his eyes glared at me.I cleared my throat. I thought I had asked him a question."Do you mean tea or would you much rather prefer a glass of cold beer?

Arabella's PoVI had just finished cooking for the witches. My back ached, alongside everywhere else on my body. I screamed inwardly because of the pain I was facing but outside, I laughed. "What do you think of the meal?" I asked Mary. The Mary with less hair on her head. She cackled again and as I had come to learn, I understood that she liked it.I watched her dip her spoon inside of the plate of rice and scoop once. The other Mary did not bother to use a spoon. She ate with her hands and I stood there, watching her tilt the bowel while it was on the table. She looked contented and happy. I like watching her."I see you're enjoying your meal, Mary" I was the first to speak. It had been a week since I stayed with them. Time went by really fast in their coven. I went out to buy some ingredients for a meal and was told three days had passed in the outside world, I wondered how they managed to understand the time difference."You cook well– even better than we who are witches, you sho

Arabella's PoV:My jaw dropped when I saw Asher. Of all the people that could have appeared for me to train with, the witches chose Asher, the man my heart ached for. "What happened to using Alpha Nick to train with?" I yelled out in the open. I received a strong win as an answer. Of course they did want to train me in the most gruesome way possible, I could understand that."What am I supposed to do?" I asked my wolf quietly. Maybe she had some ideas on how I was meant to attack the situation. She did not answer but then, another voice answered. It was completely different from the voice my werewolf always answered with."Kill him"I stopped breathing to listen carefully."What did you say?" "You said you wanted revenge on your enemies, how about you start with the easiest of them all. Start with Alpha Asher. He would not be so hard on you""But…" my eyes wavered as I tried to search deeply in my mind for an excuse. "But I don't have a weapon. In this place you brought me to, I ca

Arabella's POVAfter feeding and tending to the triplets, we carefully escorted them to a secure safehouse in the basement of the attic. Ava insisted on staying with them, her protective instincts kicking in as she cradled our precious babies in her arms. With tears in my eyes, I kissed each of their foreheads, silently promising to return to them unharmed. As we left the safety of our makeshift sanctuary, the weight of impending conflict hung heavy in the air. The moon cast an eerie glow upon the forest, illuminating our path as we marched toward our destiny. The night whispered with the rustle of leaves, a symphony of anticipation and fear. We moved with purpose, each step a silent vow to protect our loved ones and rid the world of the darkness that threatened to consume us.Arriving at the rendezvous point, our allies stood ready, their eyes ablaze with determination. Jeremy, clad in the mantle of leadership, exuded a quiet confidence as he addressed the assembled group."We strike

Arabella's POVMy heart raced as the echoes of the ritual still lingered in my mind. The bond may have been severed, but either it didn't work or its remnants were imprinted on my senses. I turned to Asher, urgency etched across my face."We need to find Jeremy. He's in danger," I uttered, the gravity of the situation piercing through the newfound calmness.Without hesitation, my father led the way, his steps purposeful as we ventured back to the house but I stopped them. "I think he's in this direction," I shouted and they stopped."Noah, take them home. I'll go find my brother." My father suggested but I shook my head. Without me, they might never find him and I'll be restless. I had to go with them. We just had to be extra careful. The air seemed charged with an unspoken tension, and my instincts guided me toward Jeremy's location. As we moved deeper into the forest, a sense of foreboding enveloped us. The ominous rustling of leaves and distant echoes of a struggle sent shivers do

Arabella's POVIn the quiet of the nursery, surrounded by the soft breaths of the sleeping triplets, I grappled with the enormity of the revelations.I traced the patterns on the floor, lost in thought when Mary and her sisters materialized in the room. “Asher called me," Mary said, her eyes locking onto mine. "Your father explained the situation between you and the other Jere brother. “Is there a way to unlink us from each other? I don't want to be linked to him. And my blood, isn't there a way to remove that too?” I asked with hopeful eyes.“They asked me this and I will tell you the same thing I told them. Breaking a bond like yours is no easy feat. Only the witch who binds can unbind but she doesn't seem to be alive and with the help of my sisters and the rest of the coven, we'd try our best. I believe we can find a way.”Relief washed over me at the prospect of a solution. "Please, Mary, find a way”One of the sisters nodded, her expression serious. "First, we need to delve int

Arabella's POVI rushed to find Asher, my mind swirling with unanswered questions. As I entered the meeting room, Asher's concerned eyes met mine, and I knew he sensed that something was wrong."Dad needs us. There's something going on," I said, trying to convey the gravity of the situation.Asher nodded, immediately following me to my father's room. The atmosphere was tense as we entered, my father and Jeremy exchanging uneasy glances. My father gestured for us to sit, and as we did, he began to explain."As you already know, Jeremy and I are the Jere twins," he began, looking at his brother and then at me. "We've been around for more than three hundred years before I finally met your mom then had you. Before that time, the two of us used to rule, until there was a fight and he became a rogue. I couldn't bear to kill my own twin but I had to find a way and it came with its own consequences. With everyone's help, we were able to find the witch queen who explained that you were coming,

Arabella's POVAs I met Jeremy's gaze, a chill ran down my spine. The shared look of terror confirmed that what I had experienced wasn't merely a product of exhaustion. There was something more, something ominous lurking in the shadows."Jeremy," I whispered, my voice shaky. "What does it mean? Why would we both dream something so vivid and unsettling?"His eyes darted nervously, and for a moment, I wondered if he held a piece of the puzzle he wasn't ready to share. "Why did we have the same dream?" I asked and this time he opened his mouth to speak."We're connected. As for the dream, I don't know…"A surge of anxiety tightened my chest. "But what if it's a warning? What if something terrible is about to happen to Dad or you?"Jeremy hesitated, his jaw clenched. "We have to be careful. I think you should call your witch friend," he said, then turned around, an air of mystery following him as he left. "Don't bother him now, Ara," Asher sang in my ear as he saw that I was looking at t

Arabella's POVJeremiah's eyes held a mixture of sadness and regret as he regarded me. "Arabella, my dear, I've been trapped in this place for many years. Breaking the barrier at the door was only the first step. But now, we need the map that brought you here."I nodded, determined to free my father from this mysterious confinement. I retrieved the aged map from my Jeremy and handed it to him. As he studied it, a solemn expression crossed his face."This map is more than just a guide," he murmured. "It holds the key to the enchantment that keeps me here. We must decipher it together."I leaned closer, my eyes fixed on the intricate details of the map. "Tell me what to do, Father. I'll do whatever it takes to free you."He muttered a few incantations, his fingers tracing the lines on the map. Suddenly, the room seemed to shift, as if responding to whatever he was saying. A low hum filled the air, and the barrier that surrounded my father's room weakened."Arabella, my strength is fadin

Asher's POVJeremy led me to a secluded corner of the house, away from prying eyes and curious ears. The air was heavy with tension, and I fixed him with a glare that could pierce steel."Explain yourself," I demanded, my voice low and threatening. "What happened with Arabella? And why the hell is my sister claiming some... connection with you?"Jeremy ran a hand through his wet hair, raindrops falling onto the floor like a steady beat. "Look, Asher, I didn't plan for any of this. I found Arabella outside, unconscious. I have no idea why she was there or what caused her to faint. And as for your sister, Ava, I can't explain that either. It's not something I control."I scoffed, unconvinced. "You expect me to believe that? We've been through enough without adding mysterious mates and fainting episodes to the mix. I need answers."He sighed, a weariness in his eyes. "I know it's hard to believe, but I'm not your enemy here. As for Ava, the connection she feels is real, even if it defies

Asher's POVAll of a sudden it began to rain heavily and we decided to go back inside. As I approached the entrance to our home, I noticed the lights were turned on. Thinking it was Jeremy, I ran in.Entering the living room, my eyes widened in disbelief at the scene before me. Jeremy stood there, his soaked figure revealing that he was in the storm outside. Yet, it wasn't the rain that held my attention, it was the limp form of Arabella he cradled in his arms."What the hell happened?" My voice came out, filled with shock and anger. I glanced between Arabella's unconscious form and Jeremy's stoic expression."She fainted," Jeremy explained calmly, his eyes meeting mine. "I found her like this outside. I didn't see you, so I brought her in."I could feel the heat rising within me. "Fainted? Why was she outside in the first place?""I don't know. She was just standing there, and then she collapsed. I did what I could to get her here quickly." "Call for the nurse. Now." My command cut

"You stay here with the triplets. I'll gather some men, and we'll search the pack house and the surrounding area.
