*** Gabriel's POV

"It's not possible for a she wolf to be Alpha." Dimitri looks from me to an omega I've learned is named Nira.

Nira shrugs. "She always been more. She's one of our strongest fighters. I guess the betas respect that and followed."

"Respect isn't the only thing you need to be Alpha." Dimitri argues with the omega.

"No, you have to be born an alpha. Which Amira was. No one expected it. Her mother's pregnancy wasn't different in any way. Not a soul knew until she was born. She had alpha eyes and Alpha Moon could smell her."

"Cobra should have made her submit." I look at Dimitri. "How was she part of your pack without submitting?"

Nira shrugs. "She was born to our pack. She's always been Blue Moon pack."

"Why hide her?" Dimitri asks.

Nira looks at me nervously. "He knew the price that would be on her if anyone knew."

"The largest pack keeping a secret like that for thirty years?" Dimitri looks at me. "Surely they had traitors."

"Did you?" I ask Nira.

She nods. "For someone to leave the pack, they had to fight Amira or Tavin, her trainer. No one wanted that. The ones who attempted to leave without permission were dealt with." She fidgets with her fingers nervously. She might have been close to the former alpha but she doesn't do well with me.

"Who is the closest to the she wolf?" I ask.

"Tavin Brooks or Iyla Banks." She says quickly.

"You can go." I wave a hand dismissing the omega. She has helped all she can for now. "Bring me the girl. She will be more willing to talk than he will." I tell Dimitri as he shuts the door.

"Do you really want to go through the hassle for one she wolf?"

I cut my eyes up at him. I could tell him the truth. The damned she wolf is my mate. I'm not sure she even knows. She didn't seem to. But I felt it when I touched her in the woods. Instead, I lie. "She is the first alpha she wolf ever, Dimitri. We need to find out how and why."

Dimitri sighs but leaves without a word. He doesn't care for Blue Moon Pack. If he had his way all of them would be dead by now.

I sigh, finally opening the folder in front of me. It contains the birth records of everyone born into Blue Moon Pack during the ten year span Amira was born. The same year her father killed my family. I flip through searching for Amira's name. By the third time of looking though, I knew she wasn't in there. Either Cobra didn't record her birth or she wasn't born when Nira said.

My office door opens as I skim through a fourth time to be sure. A she wolf enters followed by Dimitri. "Iyla Banks." He says, shutting the door.

"Iyla, sit." I say, dropping the folder on my desk and straightening.

The girl listens but her green eyes dart from me to Dimitri and back. She's nervously shaking her leg.

"Tell me about Amira."

"No." She says, looking me in the eye.

Dimitri looks at her. The last person to tell me no lost their head. I take a deep breath. "Are you challenging me, Iyla?"

"No, sir." Her eyes fall to my desk. "But I won't betray my best friend. No matter what you do to me."

I chuckle. "Can you tell me how old Amira actually is?"

She looks at me confused. "She's thirty."

"There's no record of her birth."

Her brows furrow. "There has to be. Everyone has a birth record."

I pick up the folder, holding it out to her. "Look for yourself. "

She flips through it silently. I ignore the way Dimitri looks at me. I admit, my behavior must be strange to him but this girl will only be open and honest with me if I am with her. "This doesn't make sense. She went to school. She trained. There has to be records." She looks up at me, confusion clouding her eyes. "If anyone knows, it will be Tavin." She pauses, sighing. "He won't tell. He was loyal to Cobra."

"Will he be loyal to her?" I ask.

She shrugs. "He would give his life for her but I doubt he will tell you or her Cobra's secrets."

"Thank you, Iyla." Dimitri looks at me strangely as I stand from my chair. Iyla's eyes follow me. "Would you like to see your friend?"

She jumps to her feet. "Yes, sir. Is she okay?"

I nod. "She is alive and pissed off."

Why wouldn't he kill the only person who holds a legitimate claim to Blue Moon's leadership? If this is the afterlife, where is my father? My mother? Anyone to lead me where I need to go? I stand, looking around. Nothing. Only flowers. No trees, no people. Only flowers. This is a shitty afterlife. What did I do to deserve a bad afterlife? I never hurt anyone. Well, except Kosta. ***Gabriel's POVI leave the girl to reunite with Amira. If they say anything of importantance one of my men will tell me. I doubt they will. Amira seems to know very little of her own life and Iyla knows less. My mind is on the man in the basement cell. The only man out of three hundred and six four shifters who refused to submit. Tavin Brooks. I haven't personally met the man until yesterday but I've heard of him. He's Cobra's main enforcer. The one who gets it done. Whether it be scaring a pup or killing an entire pack, if Cobra asked Brooks to do it. It got done. It didn't matter the backlash or pain they caused. Most packs lived in fear of them. Others hid from them to keep themselves safe. Others like myself who welcome all species instead of only shifters. "Alpha." The pups Dimitri assigned to guard the man stand from their chairs."He hasn't spoken since we brought him in. He keeps singing though." One of the men say. "Singing?" I ask, confused."Yeah. ***Amira's POVI'm finally dozing off when the door to the room opens. I groan. Do these people not realize how hard it is to sleep when there is someone watching you constantly? "Alpha." I hear the chair scrape the floor as the man I've now learned is named Orian stands. Great the all mighty Alpha Kosta is here. I roll my eyes without opening them. "Orian, I need to speak to her alone." That causes me to open my eyes and look at Kosta. "I don't want to talk." I watch him as he shuts the door behind Orian. "Do you know shifters used to have mates?" He asks as he claims Orian's chair. I stay silent. He leans forward touching my hand. The explosions happen causing me to snatch away. "That is one of the ways fate lets us know we've found our mate."I laugh. "Let me get this straight you are saying mates, like in the story books exist and I just so happen to be yours?" I snort. "Next you'll try to make me believe witches and vampires exist too." He just gives me a look. "No they are

Until now, she has sat there staying completely silent, barely breathing, and I have paced the small room. The marble floor is only getting colder on my bare feet. This thin hospital gown isn't enough to stop the cold from seeping in. At least they aren't like the ones back home that show my whole ass every little move I make. How did I end up here? A prisoner inside my own pack. No, not my pack anymore. They are his now. Gabriel Kosta, my mate. I didn't tell Iyla that part. I don't think she can handle it right now. I couldn't handle talking about it right now anyway. I don't believe it. I didn't believe anything he said. "No. At least, I don't think he would." I shrug, continuing to pace. I can't believe I had to throw her over my shoulder and carry her the whole way. I had never spanked anyone before. But it felt like the right thing to do. It wasn't, obviously. Her little fists hitting my back were almost funny. Iyla yelling at me how much of a monster I am wasn't. She had a good point. ***Amira's POVThere's nothing in this room that will help me. I've looked for the past three hours. The clock on one of the nightstand stays its well past midnight now. No one has come in here since Gabriel locked me inside. At least the room is huge. Both of his closests are the same size as my bedroom back home. I guess being the biggest, baddest pack didn't mean being the richest.I walked into the bathroom for the hundredth time in the past hour. The tile is warm instead of freezing. I don't understand how, but I'm thankful for it. I stare at the shower. It's giant like everything else here. The damned thing takes up an entire wall of the bathroom. Glass doors go from one wall to the other. "Why do you need everything so big?" I huff, talking to myself. I do need a shower, but I'm not so sure I could work that one. The ones at home had two knobs. One for hot. One for cold. There's not a single knob in this shower. I sigh, turning to the bathtub. The one I could easily put ten of

  • The Alpha She Wolf   I Hate Dreamland

*** Amira's POV When I woke up, I expected to still be in Gabriel's arms. Maybe not in the bathroom, but he would at least be here. Instead, I wake up in Dreamland. I really hate these flowers. Truly purely hate them. They are beautiful, but I'm tired of seeing these damn flowers. This is my third time here. Except last time, I barely opened my eyes before I woke up. I've been here a while, moving through the miles of flowers. No one has appeared, not even an animal. I find it strange there's no animals. There's not even bugs on the flowers. I don't understand where I am or how I keep getting here. I just want to leave. Where the hell is the lady? Surely, whoever lives here wouldn't let me just trampled all their flowers. I have purposely pulled fists full of flowers from the dirt, hoping someone would appear to stop me. Not a single person had. I hate this. "Amira!" I freeze. I know that voice. It's one I never thought I would hear again. I spin, half expecting him not to

*** Gabriel's POVAmira is asleep on my lap, her arms wrapped around my neck. It took a while for both of us to calm down, but she had finally fallen asleep about ten minutes ago. I couldn't believe my eyes when she threw herself into my arms. She willing came to me. She willing fell asleep in my arms. "You okay now?" Dimitri's words remind me he's still here. He leans against the door jam, watching us. He stayed to protect her. From me, I realize. I must have truly scared him if he thought I would hurt Amira. Well, hurt her beyond repair anyway. I have hurt her plenty since finding her."Yeah." I tell him. My voice sounds a lot stronger now. The darkness isn't at the edge of my vision anymore. I don't feel ready to rip apart everyone anymore. "You thought I would kill her?""Yeah." He sighs heavily. "I'm going to let Iyla know everything is okay. I'll have Mary bring something to eat." He pushes from the wall. His eyes follow my every move. It's almost as if he doesn't trust me with

***Amira's POV"Are witches and vampires real?" I ask Iyla when she gets back from the bathroom. She smirks at my excitement and nods. "Mama said Blue Moon Pack used to trade with them until thirty years ago. Cobra was always picky when it came to dealing with them, but he did. Until one day, he cut contact completely. He threatened anyone who mentioned you or leaving the pack. No one got out in thirty years.""What are they?" They can't be much different than us, can they? My stomach groans. I'm starting to feel bad, like I haven't eaten in a while."Vampires are immortals who drink blood. They are either born or made. Witches are beings able to tap into the magic of the Earth. They can only be born.""I wonder how many there are." I say in amazement. I fall back on the bed, looking up at the ceiling. Ok, so drinking blood isn't much different than some shifters liking raw meat. Raw meat is bloody. How could there be others? Other people like us who don't have animal abilities. The

  • The Alpha She Wolf   Cobra Moon

*** Gabriel's POVI hate leaving her for so long, but I have to deal with her father. I should have killed the bastard. He doesn't care for her. He cut off his pack, making them think he was dead. Then, he ran and hid. Like the coward he is. He left his daughter, his pack, instead of facing the consequences of his actions. My men had found him. Finally. He will be truly dead soon enough. The little I have learned from Tavin has told me enough to know Cobra doesn't love his daughter. He never has. If he had loved her, he would have never locked his kingdom down. He would have signed the treaty with my pack instead of destroying us. He would have found out how she is an alpha instead of an omega. Instead, he closed off his entire pack and kept Amira to himself. "Alpha." Dimitri says as I enter the garage. There's two black, armored trucks side by side. "He's been taken to the Dungeon. Morris roughed him up pretty good. I think he took a liking to one of Amira's people." Dimitri laugh

Gabriel holds a hand out, gesturing for me to go out the wide open door. I want to run past him, find the nearest exit, and disappear forever. There's only two problems with that.I can't leave Iyla behind. I know I won't escape. I would probably make it a few steps before Gabriel tackled me. It's not worth it. Yet.I hesitantly walk through, keeping my eyes glued to the floor. "Adams is meeting us there. Go get lunch." Gabriel tells the man who's been guarding my door. The man leaves without a word. Gabriel puts a hand on my lower back, gently pushing me to walk. Fireworks erupt, but they aren't heated like they were. I fall in step beside him as I listen, finally looking up. "Iyla has a list of things to discuss. They should only take about three hours." I only have three hours to see my best fr

I'm all alone. Well, except the guard on the other side of the bedroom door. I push the disappointment deep down inside somewhere as I lay back down.Somehow, this asshole had opened the closet door, picked me up, carried me and slept with me all night without me knowing. I need to get up. But this bed is so comfortable. Why is it so comfortable? How long did Gabriel say up waiting for me to fall asleep? I expected him to break the door down the second I slammed it last night but he never did. I look over at the perfect closet door. Not a scratch on it. I groan. This would be easier if he kept being an asshole.
