The full moon was glowing in the sky, giving the werewolves chance to go for another rogue hunting. All the warrior wolves and the alpha’s commanders were ready to eliminate another pack of rogues. They knew doing the hunting frequently was not really necessary but it would be better if they just finished everything off quicker.
The less wolves they had to handle in the day, the more stamina they could store for the real fight with the witches. Even if they had magic power, physically the witches were far weaker than they were. They just needed the wolf mage to finish the protective amulet so they would be immune from the witch magic. In the meantime, they just had to get rid of these pests.
Before they left, like usual, Maxi gave his men briefs of what they were supposed to do for the night. There were a total of thirty of them going hunting. Maxi felt the need to increase their number considering what happened last time. Their pack would be considered one of the largest pack in the United States, so bringing thirty of the best men they had would not be an issue at all.
In the country alone, there were at least fifteen packs spread all over the states. Those were just the known and major ones. Azure Blood pack had at least a thousand hundred members, their homes were located all around the area, but they had been hidden with magic so no one would be able to see them. The only one left visible was his manor, just so anyone outside of the pack could still visit when necessary.
“Is everyone ready?” Maxi questioned as they lined up waiting for the order to go. All of them had a firm look on their face. Maxi was about to give order to go when suddenly he heard someone’s footsteps approaching from behind him. Turning his head around, he saw Reinhart standing there with an equally determined look on his face.
“Reinhart, what are you doing here?” He questioned as if he could not believe his own eyes. The blonde man stepped forward and removed his clothes right there.
“I wish to join you in the rogue hunting.” It was a sentence Maxi did not think he would hear from Reinhart that soon. The man always made up excuses to avoid coming. In the end, he never even bothered to invite him anymore, however that night was slightly different. His younger brother looked serious. After he publicly requesting it, there was no way Maxi would be able to refuse him, especially since he was his younger brother, it would humiliate the Dravos bloodline if a member was not allowed in the hunting after they became an adult.
“Okay, you can join us, but make sure you do not make yourself a burden.” He stated coldly and Reinhart could only nod. A few seconds later, he gave a sign to start the hunting an in matters of seconds, all the werewolves who participated quickly shifted into their wolf form. Reinhart had also shifted into a golden colored wolf, while Maxi who had turned into the large black wolf was marching in front as he led them.
The rogues should be scattered around the forest and they needed to split themselves into two groups of fifteen and sixteen. One of the group led by the alpha would find the rogues around the lake area while the other led by Jayden would go deeper on the forest area. It did not take long for them to find the rogues they were seeking for, as expected, these rogues just kept on coming. They wasted no time to battle them and a fight occurred on each side.
All of the wolves brought that night were warriors who were used of murdering their enemies so it was not that difficult for them to tear these rogues apart, since most of the rogues were useless and weak wolves to begin with who was blinded by pride and emotion, daring to do crimes within the pack which resulted in their exiles.
Only one wolf who was not as capable in combat as the rest of them. It was Reinhart. Of course, he had been trained to fight in both human and wolf form, but it did not automatically mean he was good at them.
Mostly because he despised the sight of blood. As werewolves, it was in their nature to be wild and beastly, but Reinhart just could not bring himself to kill others even if they were his enemies the way his family did and he had been deemed weak for it.
That was the reason why he needed to prove to them, that he too, could be useful in the field. He started biting on the rogues and managed to injure a few, but he was not able to kill them. One of their member who saw it immediately rushed over and killed those he had managed to injure. He watched as their necks were ripped apart and in his head, he received a mind l**k from the wolf who just tore it apart.
“Young master Dravos, you must not hesitate during this time.” The dark haired brown wolf tried to remind him before marching away. Reinhart was upset with himself, he did not know why he still could not bring himself to just did what was necessary. Perhaps coming there was a mistake to begin with. He should have just stayed at home and watched over his family.
While he was contemplating, he had not realized that one of the rogue saw this weakness of his and wasted no time to charge. Fortunately, he noticed it right away and managed to dodge the gray wolf. Of course, since the rogue tried to hurt him, he wasted no time before he bit on the wolf neck once and scratched his body deeply.
The wolf was already bleeding but it was still alive. He could taste the wolf’s blood on his tongue and it disgusted him. He planned on murdering the wolf right away but then realized that the wolf before him was still a juvenile.
Once again, he could not bring himself to kill him and this opened up path for another rogue who saw how distracted he was to attack him. A bigger rogue ran toward him and nearly attacked him when Maxi suddenly jumped and bit the wolf’s body. There was a bit of fight going on since the wolf managed to bit Maxi’s leg but it was not enough to slow him down.
Reinhart thought of helping his brother and was about to rush to his side when the gray juvenile wolf leaped and bit his body. Maxi saw this and pushed the wolf he was attacking off to rescue Reinhart.
He managed to bite on the gray rogue’s neck, killing him for good but the bigger rogue from before suddenly marched in and bit him. It was at this time when one of his pack saw this and attacked the rogue, killing him on spot but as he released Maxi’s body, he was thrown away to the other side of the lake and fell on the water.
This made everyone who witness it scared and after murdering all the rogues, they tried to find him but it was to no avail. His legs were bitten and bleeding so it must have been difficult for him to swim. Reinhart howled as he called for him but they never saw him coming out of the water.
Once the rogue was taken care of, the rest of the pack tried to search for him both on the surrounding area and on the water for hours but at the end, they were still unable to find him. These werewolves had super sense of smell, yet for some strange reason, they could not smell his scent at all. Which made them assume the worst thing.
“We cannot find him, what are we supposed to do now?” One of them questioned the other. Right then, the pack led by Jayden had arrived to the leg after he received a mind l**k telling him that Alpha Maxi had fallen into the lake and none of them could trace him.
It was almost dawn and they had been searching but it was to no avail. Eventually, Jayden had to make the decision.
“We need to return first and recharge our energy. We’ll send more wolves here to find him but in the meantime, we need to go back home.” It was such a difficult decision to make and Reinhart could not believe they were going to stop trying to find him.
“We are not quitting, we believe he is still alive, because Alpha Maxi is not someone who will die from something like this, but we also need to go back, we have been fighting the rogues all night. Most of us have lost plenty of stamina. I hope you understand.” He stated as the rest of the wolf followed him. Reinhart was speechless.
He could not believe his brother disappeared just like that. Warm tears began to gather around the rim of his eyes.
Maxi is lost because of me, how am I going to live with this?
"Love is not in our choice but in our fate." -John Dryden- *** It was weekend and it was the only time in her new life was Sabrina able to go outside. Her father and sister had prepared themselves to go to the town and market to buy some groceries for them. If she had proper good night sleep, she would definitely go along with them, but that morning, Sabrina was too tired to travel. Last night she was not able to sleep until two in the morning. Her head was aching and her mood was not the best. It was fair to say she was one of those people who needed a proper seven to eight hours of sleep every night to remain sane. Once they were done getting ready, she had only finished shower. Layla barged to her room asking if she wanted to come with them at all considering how messy she looked at the moment with her wet hair and pajamas. Sabrina thought about it, she had been unpacking quite a lot that week and felt pretty tired

They had been waiting for it for so long. The gatherings always occurred a day after everything happened but most of the times, the result was not as satisfactory, however, that day was different. Flashes of images sparked from the glass showing the fight among the Azure Blood clan and the rogues from the previous night. The witches’ green eyes gleamed as they saw the alpha of the clan fell on the lake. The panicked expression of the other wolves brought great delight to them as they thought they had finally managed to get rid of that annoying alpha wolf. “I can’t believe this day would come sooner than what we had expected.” A woman’s amused voice wa
"The closer one comes to truth, the further one gets from mind." -James Pierce- *** Why is it so dark? I’m cold… why am I here? Why am I alone? The wolf version of maxi was seen running alone in the dark forest, he did not know where he was running or why he was running, all he knew was he needed to keep running. He was avoiding something, yet he had no recollection of the reason why he avoided it. His legs were light as air yet he kept on running along the single path surrounded by large trees. He was starting to become really tired, which was quite unusual considering he had never been tired while running before. Werewolves were known for their extra strength, but Maximillian in particular was one of the strongest and he had high level of durability, but in that place, he felt weak. He was tired and he wanted to rest but he could not. What am I doing? He asked himself. A few moment later which felt

It has been two days since the last time she had anything to eat. I am afraid if she continues acting like this she will eventually fall ill.” Beatrix expressed her concern to a trusted maid in the house who was preparing her dinner at the moment. For some reason, the dining table felt so empty. Since the news of her brother going missing, assumedly dead, Cordelia had been staying in her room mourning for her son. She refused to meet anyone and had not taken a bit of anything. Even the water they brought to her room was barely touched. On the other hand, her other brother, Reinhart, had been depressed since he was the reason Maximillian disappeared. He had a terrible nightmare on the first night after the incident and could n

I thought you said you would be going on a diet.” Layla remarked as she saw her sister putting pounds of meat on her plate. She did not even pour any sauce on them which was quite unusual. Sabrina shrugged it off and told her she was just feeling a lot hungrier lately due to the amount of physical work she needed to do. Her father did not really question her like Layla did and acted nonchalant about it, which was such a relief for her. “Let her be, after all she has been working quite hard lately. Just eat as much as you want. Groceries are incredibly cheap around here. These meats are locally grown so we can always get them at any time.” Greg just laughed it off as he took a piece of meat from his plate and bit it. Sabrina was glad at least her father

The team which was sent to search for him had also given up since there was no way he would survive for three days straight without returning there. Cordelia and Reinhart were both still heartbroken but since Esther arrival, they had managed to sort their feelings out.“You do not need to blame yourself. What happened was not exactly your fault. So don’t torture yourself like this. It’s not helping anyone, especially yourself.” She stated calmly. Of course, for him, it was still a huge mental burden. She kept reassuring him that since they had not found his body, there was still a chance he was alive and would return,
"Yearning: It needs to hurt in order to be worthy of the word. Otherwise it is just wanting." -John of The Cross- *** Sabrina woke up that morning and found herself in the storage room, the sunlight fell on her face from the glass window above and she could no longer sleep because of how noisy her father was on the outside. She rubbed her eyes and looked around her to find the wolf has ran away. She thought it was odd that the wolf could open the storage door as she did not see any damage being done but she guessed the creature had his own way. Not sure why, but she felt a deep sense of loss when the wolf was not around her. She had barely know him and it was obvious that once he was healed, he would wish to go back to the forest where he belonged, yet Sabrina could not help but feel lonely. It was almost as if a lover had left her so suddenly. She knew she was overthinking it but she wished the wolf would tell her first befo
"Protection is the first necessity of opulence and luxury." -Joseph Conrad- *** Mila Vichell was arguing with her brother Lewis about an amulet they had just discovered on the magic market. It was Mila who initially bought the protective amulet yet once she arrived back home, her brother tried to trade the necklace since it also caught his attention, but she refused to trade it with a few coins he offered, in the end they decided to settle with with a little magic fight on their manor’s yard. Whoever won the fight would be able to own the amulet. Lewis swiftly lit up his fire magic and shot it at her. Mila who was good at her reflexes, quickly dodged it and went to attack him with her soundwave ability which made him fell on his back. She did not waste more time and tied him up with her psychic ability, making him unable to move and at that point, the woman was really tempted to sneak into his mind and manipulated him into fo

"A happy ending is always possible if you are willing to keep the story moving to get there."-Alan Cohen-***Usually when this happened, he would summon her either in the office or their bedroom. This time, it was different. He summoned her to the garden and she wondered why. Maxi was not someone who would come to the garden without purpose, simply because he was not a nature person. She did not think too much and followed until she saw him standing near a big tree in the end of the garden.“What is it, Maxi? Why have you called me at this hour?” She wondered. He smiled slyly as he grabbed her hand without saying anything. Then he suddenly transformed into a wolf and asked her to jump on top of him.Of course, Sabrina did not understand the reason why. She just did as he said and he mind linked her to hold on tightly. She grabbed a handful of his fur and Maxi started running. The sudden motion surprised her a
The surest way to be happy is to seek happiness for others. -Martin Luther King Jr.- *** “Luna, please drink this chicken broth soup. It had been brewed with several spices that would replenish your energy.” Judith handed over a bowl to her and she slowly drank it using spoon. She had gotten used to the taste of the soup since it has been delivered to her every single day for the past month. It was a traditional recipe for breastfeeding woman in the clan. Truthfully, she hated the taste since it was so bitter and balsamic, but each time she was done with the bowl, she always felt better than before so she kept on taking it so she could breastfeed her children well. “Judith, I want to see the twins.” She wiped her lips and gave the order. The maid nodded and walked out of the room. Sabrina swore she was starting to get really bored inside the manor. Since she has not fully recovered yet, Maxi has not allowed her to go

Since midnight, she had been sent to a guest room which had been re arranged for her delivery. The entire time, Maxi has been holding her hand for hours. She had been in so much pain and her scream could be heard from outside the room and the manor. The guards had been arranged to guard around the manor and ensure nobody from the outside could get inside except for the birth maids. An hour after the initial contraction, Dr Hay and two other birth maids helped her with the delivery process and they too had not rested for hours, taking turn in supporting her to ensure everything was fine.“You can do it my love, just push a bit further.” Maxi was a bit worried for her since she was going to deliver a hybrid baby. "Being gifted needs courage."-Georg Brandes-***That morning after breakfast, Maxi accompanied Sabrina to the green house where Alphonse was. She brought a small pouch filled with a few stones Maxi gave her and she planned on giving it over to Alphonse. She opened the green house door and saw him sitting there while drinking tea like usual. He quickly noticed their arrival and invited him with a polite smile on. She walked in with Maxi and greeted him cheerfully.“Good morning, Alphonse. Sorry to disturb you this early without any notice, but I have come here to thank you for everything. I thought of giving you something as a token of my gratitude.” She pulled out the pouch from her pocket and handed it over to him.“What is this, luna?” The man opened up the pouch and was surprised by the crystal he saw. Alphonse recognized them right away and he nearly teared up because of it. He was not

Even though her relationship with the other members of the family was still strained, Sabrina did not care and simply focused on herself and her pregnancy.A day after she returned from the kidnapping, she was worried for the fetus inside of her. Everything that happened might have caused some injury on the baby but she went and had her baby checked and the doctor said everything was fine. However, that morning she woke up and realized her bump was much bigger than before. When she went to bed, she was sure the bump was not that large and this scared her. She quickly woke Maxi up and her panicked face was all he needed to call the doctor again.Even though it was early in the morning, just an ho

If what the goddess was saying, it must mean that she was her great grandmother from her mother.“How is that even possible?” She wondered. Before she died, her mother had never told her anything about her grandmother or great-grandmother. She has never mentioned anything about their lineage so Sabrina had never heard of it before.“Yes, you are right, she is from your mother’s lineage. However, this scene right here is only the beginning. Let me show y
"Hell is empty and all the devils are here."-William Shakespeare-***Once everything was over, the room completely transformed itself. The two of them walked out from the room with Herod dragged around. They were in the place's living room and They wondered what they were supposed to do with him."Let me go, you filthy werewolves. I rather die than become your prisoner." Herod spat, angering Maxi and Alphonse."I think we should just get rid of him right away. His siblings are all dead. If he's left alive he might end up taking revenge on us again in the future and we cannot risk that." Maxi suggested with a cold, dangerous tone. This man dared to hurt his luna and mate. For an alpha, that was the biggest humiliation and threat he could receive in his entire life."I completely agree. Luna, if you allow me, I will erase this man's existence right here and now. Maxi stood up and took a deep breath to regain his strength. The blow did make an impact on him and his body still hurt but seeing Sabrina safe was all he needed. He walked toward his woman while dispelling each attack thrown his way and managed to reach his woman. He went to give her a huge hug and during this time, Josephine and Herod joined forces to attack them from a close distance but Alphonse quickly used his magic to break theirs. The power they had learnt from years of practice suddenly became nothing in front of Alphonse.“You! Just who are you!?” They wondered for they had never known or seen him before. They also did not know that the Azure Blood clan specifically had such strong wizard on their side. They knew the
