The air in the Blackwood pack's council chamber was thick with tension as the elders gathered, their weathered faces etched with a mixture of concern and determination. Damien and Ana stood at the head of the table, their son cradled protectively in Ana's arms, his small face peaceful in slumber.

"The whispers have only grown louder," one of the elders, a stern-faced woman with piercing eyes, began, her voice grave. "There are those within the pack who seek to harness your son's power for their own gain."

Damien's jaw tightened, and he leaned forward, his gaze sweeping the room.

"We will not allow that to happen," he said, his voice firm and unyielding. "My son is not a bargaining chip, nor will he be used as a pawn in anyone's twisted games."

The elder nodded, her expression softening slightly.

"We understand your concerns, Alpha," she said, her tone measured. "That is why we have gathered to discuss the best course of action to ensure your son's safety."
