15. Secret

After the meeting was over Rafael was walking back to his room and was about to prepare a letter.

Now that Ashley had pointed it out he also noticed that the council really treated the pack like their lap dog.

He also remembered that before Ashley’s father had died he had agreed to protect several other packs and coven but he died before that and the covens were attacked and the council blamed it on Ashley’s father’s death.

Rafael clenched his fist.

Now that he thinks the council is actually stupid, people run after it because it is considered prestigious and all-powerful and whatnot.

But in reality, the council depended on Ashley’s father for many things.

And the reason why the council was considered so powerful was that it’s competitors that being the royal pure-blood alpha, refused to fight for power.

So Ashley’s this move will show the council who needs who.

This may invite conflict but this has to be done

Rafael smiled as he thought about this. Ashley had really changed.

“Rafael.” he stopped when he heard his name being called and he turned around and saw Sophy coming to him with a smile.

He smiled back at her and said, “what brings you here Sophy.”

Sophy smiled, “I was just passing by… by the way what was it that you and alpha talked about?”

Rafael remembered Ashley’s words.

“No matter what no one should know what we have discussed here, not even Sophy, anyone who discloses the secret will be severely punished.”

“Um… it was nothing Sophy, it has been solved,” he said to her.

Sophy’s smile was gone when she heard that and rage filled her heart but yet she kept her calm and said, “really? You can’t even tell me? We have been friends for so long and I have assisted you so many times!”

Rafale himself didn’t like this, hiding things from Sophy yes she has helped him and the others a lot and has many times given her input however Alpha’s orders were alpha’s orders and as a beta, he cannot go against Ashley so he said, “I am sorry Sophy but Ashley has told me not to say anything to you.”

Sophy looked at him and scoffed, “Oh… I see. I get it.”

“It’s not like I don’t trust you or anything it’s just…”

“No, No I get it Rafale I understand.” She said before she gave him a bitter smile and left with rage

Ashley Martin was going to die by her hands that were sure.

A storm was coming and Ashley knew it.

And she was ready for it.

She stood before the mirror and smirked as she applied lipstick on her lips and brushed her hair as she was thinking about what was going to happen.

The council is not going to take her rejection nicely, it is going to be a blow to them and they are going to get surprise and then angry.

And Ashley was waiting for the storm to come.

After she was done getting ready she walked out of the room and met her mother outside.

Once Ashley reached the office and was greeted by Anna and the others greeted her.

Sophy had not said anything to her yet. She was quiet since yesterday as she should be.

Ashley and the rest went to the elevator and there they were met with Bryan.

As soon as Ashley saw Bryan her heart skipped a beat again when she saw that handsome, masterpiece of a man, standing right before her in a white suit.

She smiled as soon as she saw him and said, “Good morning Mr. Shaw.”

The others were a little intimidated by Bryan’s aura but Ashley loved it.

She loved everything about Bryan.

She stood beside Bryan and he looked at her, “good morning Miss. Martin.”

Ashley then pressed the button on the floor.

While Sophy was observing her.

The way Ashley smiled at Bryan and the way she was looking at him, she found it rather weird.

And now that she thinks many things didn’t make sense Why would someone as arrogant as Ashley would work for someone?

And that someone would be a human?

Even if Bryan was a powerful man and had a lot of influence and was extremely wealthy at the end of the day he was still a human.

Did Ashley develop a crush on him?

Or worse… is Bryan. Her mate?

Sophy’s eyes widened when she thought about that but then she shook her head.

If that was the case then why wouldn’t Ashely tell anyone in the pack?

Not even the elders?

When an alpha finds their mate then it is a matter of celebration for the pack.

She can very easily control Bryan’s mind and mark him but she didn’t, as she is the pure blood alpha she can control and dominate any species lower than her in the hierarchy.

That was why the true blood alphas were so terrifying.

Not even Ava?

Ava would never hide something like this from her.

Then was it something else?

What was it that Ashley was planning?

Suddenly she became too friendly and humble with others and was now working under a human taking orders from him.

What can make a pure-blood alpha like that?

What was Ashley really planning?

Sophy had a hunch that it was something not good and that she will have to do something about this.

Her plan was ruined from the day Ashely came to the party and now she has to think of some other way to make her original plan work.

Meanwhile, Ashley noticed Bryan, and she saw that he looked rather tensed and his eyes held a concerned look.

Oh, how she wished that she can know about what was bothering him and she can help him with that.
