Logan's POV

I sat on the edge of my bed, staring blankly at the wall of my room. My mind was filled with images of Emma and her children. Damn it. Why did everything have to be so complicated? I squeezed my hands until my knuckles turned white. Why was I still thinking about Emma? I already knew the answer, but damn, I felt like I was getting caught up in a whirlwind of feelings that shouldn't be there.

I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself down. But, before I could fully sink into my thoughts, my bedroom door suddenly swung open. Scarlett was standing there, her eyes sharp on mine.

"What the hell, Scarlett? Have you never heard of 'knock' before entering someone's room?" I asked in an angry tone.

Scarlett just smirked, then walked in as if she had every right to be there. "Calm down, Logan. I just met someone you know."

I frowned, no time for Scarlett's games right now. "I don't care who you meet. Get out of here, Scarlett."
