“Lia? Are you there? Did you hear what I said? Turn your car around and meet me at the house.”

I instructed her and removed my phone from my ear to make sure she was still on the phone but she already hung up. I dialed her number again but she didn’t pick up. I called her for a third before deciding that it would be better to go pick her up before it was too late.

“Damn!”

I let out and rushed back into the meeting room. Everyone turned in my direction when I walked in again after stepping out to take a call that I wasn’t supposed to take during a very important pack meeting.

Fuck my life. I made the rule of no phone calls during pack meetings but I was the one to break the rule and now I am about to break another rule. Leaving the pack meeting before time wasn’t allowed but I couldn’t stay in the meeting while knowing that my mate was about to leave the pack even though I told her not to.

There’s only so much the guys at the gate can do. If she persists and insists

They already told her of the dangers so she's being unreasonable, however this might not be such an issue if they had explained those dangers to her again, on their video call. I don't like her, but "because we said so", was a really stupid thing to say.
