Dreaded Meeting

“Right…” I murmured to show her that I understood.

Does that mean that Prince Leonard will be involved with someone else or maybe he’s already involved with someone else?

“That is all for today. I’m sure that that is a lot of information for you already. Do you have any questions?” she asked.

“No. Thank you,” I replied although I had an endless list of questions.

The madame smiled at me before she nodded her head a few times. She approached me and then I felt the slight pressure of her hand on my shoulder.

“Good luck, Mila. The future and fate of this kingdom is in your hands,” she said, and I could see tears swimming in the depth of her eyes.

I wanted to tell her just how misplaced her trust was but all I could do was smile awkwardly.

**Later that night**
