"Please tell me I am seeing things, and that my son isn't standing next to the one thing he should be avoiding!" Madeline spoke, dramatically flinging her hands into the air as she took elegant strides into the room, charging towards her son. Madeline had watched Lancelot slip out of the palace in the earlier hours of this morning; just immediately after his meeting with Edward. Deep down, she had prayed and hoped, even forced herself to believe that Lancelot was attending official duties. However, after she sent trusted men after him, she realised the reverse was the case. Lancelot was reported to be in the hospital. Her son was no doctor or salutory wolf, so, he would have been in the hospital for one reason only; to see someone. Throughout the drive to the hospital, even with her second son by her side, Madeline found it hard to set her thoughts straight. She continued to hope - for Lancelot's sake more than hers - that he was not at the hospital to see that...disgusting human w
Emily touched down at London's airport at exactly 9:30am. She was not supposed to be here until 11am, but after she heard the news of her friend, Emily knew that every second she spent away from Roxanne, would have to be paid for with her mental health. She managed, by the slightest chance, to get a ticket to a 5am flight leaving America for London. She didn't care how overpriced the emergency ticket was, she bought it the second she set her eyes on it. By 4:30am, she was already at the airport, and the plane was ready to depart by exactly 5:15am. The universe had to be working in her favour, she thought. Emily didn't know how else a journey that normally took five to seven hours could be covered in just four. After arriving at the airport, she went through all necessary protocols, before arriving at the waiting room. After waiting for five minutes, she decided to call the man who had informed her of her best friend's accident - the one who worked for Dankworth company - to inform
"Another one? You have got to be kidding me." Madeline spoke up, when she heard the raging woman blab out something about all humans being equal. She forced back the urge to spit. Of course they were all equal. All equally disgusting and incredibly uncultured. Why else would this...swine be making a lot of noise in a residential building. Emily turned away from the rude man to focus on the elegant woman behind her. The lady - who must have been royalty - stood tall in royal blue block heels and a matching body con dress. Emily only knew she was about twenty years older from the aged look underneath her eyes and the thin strands of grey hair in front of her head. Other than that, everything, ranging from her makeup, to her bright blue eyes radiated with a form of goddess like beauty. The resemblance between the rude man and this woman was so striking, Emily immediately recognized her as his relation... probably even his mother - whom she had just accused of raising a poorly trained
Emily was there every passing second. She did not leave her friend'a side for a moment, not even for a a split second. As she sat there, she continued to wonder what would have happened to Roxanne. Lancelot had said she was involved in an accident, but he had not told her what type, or exactly how much damage it had done to her best friend. All in all, she was glad that Roxanne was alive. She could not imagine what it would have been like to come all the way from America to London, only to hear...bad news. The thought sent shivers down her spine as she shuddered, placing her hand on Roxanne's head in an attempt to check her friend's temperature. She had done that over twenty times in two hours. But, Emily would have none of it. She had imagined her reunion with her friend a million times, and seeing Roxanne in a hospital bed, bundled up like an Egyptian corpse. She could not help herself anymore. The tears she had fought so hard to keep at bay rushed to the forefront of her eyelid
Ava did not say another word to either of her parents, and neither one walked her to the door, or ensured that she got into her car. Her father only whispered something her mother's left ear, and Theresa's eyes glowed, before she stared in pity at her daughter. Even if Theresa wanted to hold Ava and assure her that all will be well, she knew she couldn't. It was their tough upbringing that had caused them to be one of the most successful couples in the Relish line, neither Garrett nor Theresa needed their daughter to be soft. She put her sunshades back on and catwalked out of the mansion; the one she had called her home. She headed straight for her car, opened the door and flung herself into it. When she was safely seated, she banged her fists against the car horn verociously, while screaming in anger at the top of her voice, where she was sure nobody would see or hear her; not from the tinted glasses of her car. Ava inserted her car keys into the keyhole and set the engine to igni
TAPUM 95 Lancelot got into his car and drove steadily, yet hasitily, with one goal and one goal only; to find out the truth about Roxanne's kidnap. There were so many theories that could be made by looking at the video, Lancelot needed to be sure exactly what it was that happened, and to do that, he needed a plan. In ten minutes, he was behind his mother's car, and driving past the gate of the palace. The palace environment looked empty now; a signal that most of the guests had left and returned to their various homes. The big ceremony was over, whatever was left to do now, was for close friends and family. He couldn't help but wonder if it was his aunt, Hermione. But, he did not think his aunt had it in her to kidnap and torture an innocent person in such a way. That personality belonged more to his mother, Madeline, than his aunt. However, he had doubts that it was his mother, there was no hint in her eyes that she had been the one responsible when she saw Roxanne. Lancelot had s
Lancelot's eyes dropped to the floor where the champagne flute had shattered into pieces, spilling the expensive content all over the floor. Terror washed over Elizabeth, freezing her spine and paralysing her senses, so much so that her hands remained in the air, in the exact posture she had dropped the glass. She was unable to move, and at a loss for both words and actions. The entire Dankworth house sat in confusion, both Madeline and Edward were extremely pissed that their effort at making Lancelot's first dinner as Alpha king memorable, had proven futile. Anger flashed in Edward's eyes as he looked around him, his eyes searching for Peter, who was the only one able to give an explanation for what was going on. While Elizabeth sat, hyperventilating, Edward spoke up in anger. "Where is Peter? What is going on here?" In that moment, Lancelot tore his gaze away from Elizabeth and her mother and raised his hand. Both husband and wife focused their eyes on their son, and the rest of
Emily's jaw dropped.."You have got to be fucking kidding me." Roxanne sighed and leaned further into her gurney. "Believe me Em, I wish I was kidding, but I am really not." Emily was finding it hard to believe anything that was being said to her right now. It felt like she had been hit by a giant asteriod of information and truth and her brain had been divided into millions of invisible parts - see? She could not even make sense of what she was feeling. Not only was her friend living in the midst of werewolves, she had been kidnapped by them, and apparently, witches, vampires and fairies with weird healing powers did exist. Everything hit her with a strong shockwave and if Roxanne wasn't her bestfriend, she would have thought her to be mad. Roxanne studied her friend's eyes carefully. Of course, she had expected Emily to react like this. Infact, she would have found it extremely strange if her friend was less surprised. Still, it had not prepared her to tell Emily all that had h
