“How is that possible?” I asked my therapist.
“It's certainly possible that your dreams about the wolf are related to your emotional state after the loss of your parents. Dreams can often be a way for our minds to process and make sense of difficult emotions and experiences. It's also possible that the wolf in your dreams represents some aspect of your personality or psyche, or it may symbolize something else entirely. Ultimately, the interpretation of dreams is highly personal and can vary widely from one person to another. It's important to remember that there is no one-size-fits-all explanation for any particular dream, and it's up to you to decide what the wolf in your dreams might mean to you, Rebecca.” She explained
Soon after I left the therapist and went back to work.
So, has the wolf always been a nice guy? I thought he was a monster. I thought to myself.
Now that I actually thought of it, he never harmed me before. If the scars I get in
my dreams can somehow manifest on my skin in real life, then I'm way too lucky to be living in a forest at night and not get hurt. Has he been protecting me all this time? What is the link between the wolf and me? And why did he turn into a human at the end?The scar must have been a coincidence.
As I sat in my car, my mind kept drifting back to the strange dreams I'd been having lately. The wolf had always been a mysterious presence in my subconscious, but now that I thought about it, he had never actually hurt me. In fact, he seemed to be protecting me from something, though I couldn't quite put my finger on what it was.I couldn't shake the feeling that there was some sort of connection between me and the wolf, but I didn't know what it was. I wondered if there was some way to figure out the meaning of my dreams and unlock the mysteries of the wolf.At the end of my dream, the wolf had turned into a human, which only added to the confusion. I couldn't help but wonder what this transformation could mean. Was it a sign that the wolf was more than just a creature of my imagination? Or was it simply a symbol of something else entirely?
As I tried to make sense of it all, I couldn't shake the feeling that the scar on my neck was more than just acoincidence. Could it be that my dreams were somehow connected to my reality? I couldn't help but wonder what other secrets my subconscious might be hiding.I took a break for an hour from work to meet my therapist. Dr.ingres was kind enough to let me go. Getting
back to office, I still wasnt sure what to do with the ‘it's up to you to decide what the wolf in your dreams might mean to you’ part.Letting it slide away for a while, I opened the door to the lab only to be greeted by a fluffy animal. It seemed to be a cat but was orange in color with pointed ears. Most importantly it didn't meow.
“Who are you little one?” I asked the animal.
“Hey Rebecca. Thats the outcome of the research I did for most of my years. I finally found a breakthrough and I can't believe how happy I am.” Dr. Ingres replied.
“I don't understand.” I replied smiling.
“The animal infront of you is a mix breed of a fox and a cat. Humans till date know how to inter breed the same family of animals but now I, Dr. Ingres has finally found a way to breed between a cat and a fox.”
“Thats amazing doctor. Thats actually so amazing.”
“Its all thanks for your and Georgia's help.”
“So, are you planning on taking a break?”
“Break? What's that for? I am gonna start the next phase of my research. I hope you can continue to help me out Rebecca.”
“Absolutely doctor. But what are we going to work on?”
"Well, I have a few ideas in mind for the next phase of my research," Dr. Ingres replied, his eyes lighting up with excitement. "I'm planning on continuing to explore the possibilities of interbreeding different species of animals, but I also want to delve deeper into the genetic mechanisms behind it. I want to understand how we can control and manipulate the traits and characteristics that are passed down from one generation to the next. It's a fascinating field with so much potential for discovery."
"That sounds amazing, Doctor," Rebecca said, her own excitement beginning to build. "I can't wait to see what we can accomplish together. I'm always happy to help out in any way I can.""I'm glad to hear it, Rebecca," Dr. Ingres said with a smile. "I think we make a great team, and I have no doubt that we'll be able to achieve great things together.”He then continued to say, “In other words well be creating a ‘Homunculus’.”
“What is that doctor?” Asked georgia curiously.
“Here read this.” the doctor said turning his laptop to face us. On it was an article written.
In fantasy literature and media, the concept of a homunculus may be used in a more metaphorical or symbolic way.
A homunculus might be depicted as a small, humanoid creature that is created through magical means, often as a servant or assistant to a magician or alchemist. In some stories, a homunculus might be imbued with certain powers or abilities, such as the ability to speak, think, or act independently. In some cases, a homunculus might be portrayed as a malevolent or dangerous creature, while in other stories it might be depicted as a benevolent or helpful being. The portrayal of a homunculus in fantasy literature and media can vary widely, and it may be used as a way to explore themes of creation, power, and human nature. It's important to note that the concept of a homunculus in fantasy literature and media is not necessarily based on scientific principles, and it should not be confused with the scientific use of the term as a theoretical construct in discussions of neuroanatomy and psychology.
“It basically means that we’ll be creating a half human, half animal being. Something similar to a vampire.”
“Is that even possible doctor?”
“Not yet ofcourse. There are a lot of preparations that are needed to be made.”
"What animal are you thinking about Doc?" Georgia asked, her mouth agape.
"Hmm. It's under consideration but what about a human... and a wolf?" He replied.
I felt all the air knock out of my lungs.
As I went back home i was absolutely tired due to the research based on the homunculus. I fell asleep as soon as I changed my clothes without even having dinner. In my sleep, I was back in the forest. But this time i new that I was dreaming. Before I started chasing the way I usually do, I stayed still and thought about my surroundings for a moment. I couldn't believe how real I felt. When I knelt down to touch the grass, I could clearly feel its sharpness across my fingers. Now that I've been to the therapist for quite sometime, I learnt to not fear my dreams anymore. Instead I walked around. As I continued to explore the forest, I couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. The sounds of someone flinching seemed to be getting louder and more urgent, and I knew I had to investigate.I followed the sounds as best as I could, pushing through the underbrush and darting around trees until I finally came across a man leaning against a tree. He was clearly in pain, his leg bent at a
The man then protruded his hand as if asking me to hold it. I was hesitant at first but I then decided to take his hand. His hand was warm. His long fingers were pale and scratched up like papercuts. He then closed his eyes and a moment later I was back in my bedroom. But for some reason, I wasn't on my bed on the ground a few paces away from my bed. I remember sleeping on my bed the previous night but why was I on the ground? I had no clue.Although it seemed like I spent only a few minutes in my dream, it was already morning in reality.I called the receptionist at the laboratories and called for a day off. I needed a break to cool my head. writing down everything I could remember about the dream I wondered why is it always me that gets stuck in such mishaps.Apart from all the questions that are already dwelling in my mind, now came a new question. What was a being protected from? And who is that man? If he is the wolf I always saw in my dream then why was he a man now? Wait a mi
That night, I found myself back in the dream, and for the first time, I was excited to go back to sleep. I knew that the man would be there, waiting for me, and I was eager to talk to him and learn more about the strange situation I found myself in.As I approached the campfire, I saw the man sitting on a rock, roasting meat over the flames. He looked up as I approached and gave me a friendly smile, gesturing toward the rock next to him. I took a seat, feeling a sense of curiosity rather than fear."Are you a werewolf?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper. The man's eyes widened in fear, but he nodded his head. "So you figured it out," he said.I didn't know what to say. A werewolf? It seemed impossible. But as I looked into the man's eyes, I knew he was telling the truth."Don't worry," I said, trying to reassure him. "I won't go away.""Why not?" the man asked, still looking worried."Because I'm not afraid of you," I replied. "I just want to understand. Can you tell me more ab
“What are you talking about Stacy? Tell me that's not true. Please tell me you are lying. ““I'm so sorry Rebecca. I knew I shouldn’t have hidden the truth from you but I only ended up remembering it when you asked me about werewolves last time.”“Do you think a werewolf killed them?” I asked.“I'm not sure dear. But I can tell you this. No one in our extended family would be willing to give you information. I already asked around back when I was sixteen but they all silenced me.”“Why?”“They said that with the death of our parents, the monsters must have attained peace. That the curse has been lifted and it's best if we don't dwell deeper into the matter.”“Is that why you told me off the first time I asked?”“Yes, Rebecca. And I’d tell you the same again. Your dreams are not true. Don't take them seriously. You're only going to damage yourself.”“At least tell me what the curse was.”“If I knew I would have sis.”“Alright, Stacy,” I replied and cut the call with no intention of let
As I stood at the edge of the beautiful, glimmering lake, I was mesmerized by the sight in front of me. The midnight moon hung low in the sky, casting its reflection on the surface of the water. The waterfall cascading down the cliff added to the beauty of the scene. It was like something out of a dream. As I gazed at the scenery, my attention was suddenly caught by a man who was bathing in the lake. He was shirtless, and his chiseled abs and broad shoulders were on full display. As our eyes met, I couldn't help but feel a sudden rush of attraction towards him. His V-line led down into his trousers, making it clear that he was in great physical shape.I couldn't take my eyes off of him as he stood up and walked towards me, the water dripping off of his bare skin. He had a confident stride and a mischievous smile on his face. I couldn't help but feel a little flustered as he approached me, but I was also excited to see what would happen next."Like what you see, princess?" the werewolf
I stared at him in shock, my mind racing with the implications of his words. "So that's how I have this magic?" I asked, still trying to wrap my head around it all.The werewolf nodded. "Yes, you inherited the magic that was meant to be mine. But it's not just yours, it's ours. We're connected, you and I. And I promise to always protect you and keep you safe."I couldn't believe what I was hearing. How was it possible that I had inherited this magic, and how was I connected to this werewolf? But as he spoke, I felt a warmth fill my chest. I knew that I could trust him and that he would always be there for me. And at that moment, I knew that I had found a true friend and ally in the werewolf."Oh, you asked me for my name right. I forgot to tell you what it is... It's-" he said. But before I could hear what his name was, I was back in my bedroom, wide awake.I had no clue what to do anymore. It was all so strange and confusing. No wonder my relatives considered the power a curse. Now t
That night, I couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. I tossed and turned in my bed, trying to push the nagging thoughts to the back of my mind. But eventually, I gave up on sleeping and got out of bed. I needed to write down everything I had learned over the past few weeks, to try and make sense of it all.As I scribbled down notes, memories of the nightmares I had been having flooded back to me. In my dreams, I was chased by a wolf, only to discover that it was actually a werewolf. The scars I received in these nightmares still ached when I woke up, and I couldn't shake the feeling that they were more than just figments of my imagination. The werewolf in my dreams had told me a story about a pack he used to be a part of, led by a power-hungry alpha. According to the legend, the werewolf was born with a special power, one that the alpha had somehow discovered. To protect himself and others, the werewolf had transferred this power to a man he met in the woods, who happened
I froze in place, unsure of what to do. The wolves seemed to be sizing me up, their eyes narrowed and their teeth bared. I could feel the tension in the air as we stood there, locked in a tense stalemate.Just when I thought things couldn't get any worse, I heard a low growl behind me and turned to see another wolf emerging from the bushes. This one was larger than the others, with a thick coat of fur and piercing green eyes. I knew immediately that this was the alpha of the pack, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of fear wash over me.The alpha wolf stepped forward, its eyes locked onto mine. I could feel its gaze penetrating me, trying to gauge my strength and determination. I knew that I had to stand my ground, even though every instinct was telling me to run.Just when I thought things couldn't get any worse, I heard a voice in my head. It was the werewolf, and it was speaking to me telepathically. "Don't be afraid," it said. "I've come to help you. I'm sorry about what happene
I woke up crying. Who knew? Who knew i would finally meet him. I didnt know if i should be happy or sad. As i ran out to tell everyone about the dream, i couldnt help but wonder why i met him after so long.I ran out of my room and into the den, where everyone was gathered. Myles was standing by the fireplace, his arms crossed over his chest as he listened to a group of werewolves discussing strategy.I ran over to him and grabbed his arm, pulling him away from the others. "Myles, I had a dream," I said, my voice shaking with excitement and fear. "Nikau, he's alive. I saw him in my dream, he was locked up in a cage in a dark room. I tried to wake him up but he wouldn't respond. But I saw him, Myles, I saw him with my own eyes."Myles's eyes widened in shock and he grabbed me by the shoulders, looking into my eyes. "Are you sure it was Nikau? Are you sure it wasn't just your imagination?""I'm sure," I said, tears streaming down my face. "I hugged him, Myles. I hugged him and I could f
As I lay in my bed, I couldn't help but feel a sense of anxiety and worry. It had been weeks since Nikau went missing, and despite our best efforts, we had yet to find any clues as to his whereabouts. But as I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep, I couldn't help but hope that maybe, just maybe, I would be able to see him again. And as if my wish had been granted, I found myself in a dark and dreary room, surrounded by nothing but shadows and emptiness. But as I looked closer, I saw a faint glimmer of light in the distance.I followed the light, and as I grew closer, I saw that it was coming from a small cage in the corner of the room. My heart raced as I realized that someone was locked inside.I rushed to the cage, and as I got closer, I saw that it was Nikau. He was unconscious and unresponsive, his body limp and lifeless.Tears sprang to my eyes as I realized the extent of his injuries. He had been beaten and battered, his once handsome face now a mess of bruises and cuts. But
I woke up to the sound of birds chirping outside of Stacy's house. As I stretched and yawned, I remembered the plans we had for the day. Stacy had offered to take us out for some shopping in the city and I was excited to show Lily and Nova what the city had to offer.I got dressed and went to the living room where Lily and Nova were already up, sitting on the couch and chatting excitedly. They had never been to the city before and were looking forward to exploring everything it had to offer.Stacy had already made breakfast for us and we all sat down to eat. As we enjoyed our meal, Stacy asked me about the wedding plans and I told her everything we had decided on so far. After breakfast, we all got ready and headed out to the city. Lily held an umbrella to shield herself from the sunlight, and Nova was wearing a big hat to protect her sensitive skin.We walked around the city, exploring different stores and trying out different types of food. Lily and Nova were both amazed by the hust
With Nikau's help, I started to develop a routine for the blue moon. We would meditate together, focusing on our breathing and calming our minds. We also started to practice combat and self-defense techniques so that I could defend myself without hurting others. It wasn't easy, but with time and practice, I was able to gain control over my werewolf powers even during the blue moon. And I knew that I had Nikau to thank for that.Looking back on that night, I feel grateful for Nikau's love and support. He never once gave up on me, even when I was at my most dangerous. And that's what true love is all about – standing by each other through thick and thin, no matter what.It was a beautiful, sunny day in the forest, and Nikau and I were out for a walk. We strolled through the woods, holding hands, and chatting about our plans for the future. Rusty, our fox, was bounding ahead of us, occasionally turning around to make sure we were still following. As we walked, Nikau suddenly stopped and
As I continued to train and develop my powers as a werewolf, I began to think about how I could use my abilities to help others in the pack. Teleportation was one of my most useful powers, and I knew that I could use it to help those in need. One day, I received a distress call from Lily. She had been out on a hunting mission with a group of werewolves when they had been ambushed by a pack of rogue werewolves. Several of the pack members had been injured and were unable to make the journey back to our territory on their own.Without hesitation, I teleported to their location and helped transport the injured pack members back to our territory. I used my powers to conserve energy during the teleportation, ensuring that everyone arrived safely.Another time, there was a fire that broke out in the forest near our territory. The flames were spreading rapidly, and it was clear that the pack would not be able to contain it on our own. I knew that I had to act fast.I teleported to the neares
After the festival, I was filled with a newfound sense of purpose. I knew that I wanted to become a strong and capable werewolf, not just for myself, but for my pack and my mate. So, I made a decision to train myself and become a powerful luna.My first step was to speak with Nikau and the other pack leaders. They were all eager to help me in my training, and they had a lot of advice to give me. They told me that the best way to become a strong werewolf was to learn from the best, so they arranged for me to train with some of the most skilled members of our pack.My training began with hunting. I joined a group of skilled hunters from our pack, and they taught me how to track prey, stalk silently, and take down animals with my bare hands. It was a challenging experience, but I quickly found that I had a natural talent for hunting. I could sense the movements of the animals around me, and I was able to move quickly and quietly through the forest.Once I had mastered the art of hunting,
I took a sip of the juice and felt a sudden rush of energy course through my body. It was invigorating, and I could feel my senses sharpening. As the day turned into night, the festival reached its climax. The werewolves gathered around the statue of Diana and began to howl in unison. The sound was powerful and majestic, echoing through the forest. As the howling subsided, Nikau, the alpha of our pack, stepped forward and took my hand. He led me to the center of the circle, where the other pack members and the werewolf village were watching us.The music started, and Nikau began to dance, his movements fluid and graceful. I followed his lead, moving in perfect harmony with him. It was as if we were communicating through our dance, each movement complementing the other. As the dance continued, I noticed Alex and Lily, Nova and Val, and other pack members joining in, moving in perfect synchronization with us. It was a beautiful sight to behold, and I couldn't help but feel grateful for
I woke up to the sound of bustling activity outside my cave. It was early in the morning, and I could see that the entire pack was already up and about, shifting things around and cleaning everything. I turned to Nikau, who was still sleeping next to me."What's going on?" I asked him."It's time for the Festival of Half Moonlight," he replied, stretching his arms. "We're going to the moon goddess Diana's temple."My eyes widened with excitement. I had heard so much about this festival from the pack, but I had never experienced it before. The festival was a celebration of the moon goddess Diana and a werewolf named Rafael, who had become one of her most devoted followers. As the morning progressed, the pack continued to prepare for the festival. Some werewolves were busy cooking up a storm, while others were decorating the temple with flowers and vines. I could smell the delicious aroma of grilled meat and roasted vegetables wafting through the air.As I got dressed, I realized that t
I teleported us from the edge of the city to the side of a cab parked near by. We asked to drop us off on the outskirts of a forest and he agreed. As we got into the car, a relief settled over me. We’ll be going back. To alex, lily, nova, val, Myles and the rest of the pack. I couldn't be happier and this time I'll be meeting them as a werewolf.“How does being a werewolf feels like?” nikau asked as if reading my thoughts.I smiled at Nikau's question. "It's hard to describe," I said, "but it feels like a part of me that was always missing has finally been filled. It's like an intense surge of energy, power, and heightened senses. Running through the forest as a wolf, with the wind in my fur, and the thrill of the chase is something I never thought I'd experience, but it's amazing."Nikau nodded, a thoughtful expression on his face. "I can imagine how freeing it must be," he said, "to be able to let go of all human worries and just be wild and free."I chuckled. "That's one way to p
