I gasped at Gale's words, shock and fear coursing through my veins. "What do you mean? Is there no way to stop him?"

Gale shook his head, his expression grave. "Alex has become too powerful. He's surrounded himself with loyal followers, and he won't stop until he has complete control over the pack. I'm sorry, Rebecca, but I don't think there's anything you can do."

I felt tears prick at my eyes as the full weight of the situation hit me. I couldn't just sit back and do nothing while Alex destroyed everything we held dear. There had to be something we could do.

"There must be a way," I said, my voice shaking. "We can't just give up. We have to fight, no matter how difficult it may seem."
