“You won’t get away with this!” An angry voice shouts which causes me to jolt awake, I sit up terrified wondering if the man shouting was in my bedroom. But my panicked scan of my bedroom clarifies that I was the only person, but I’m sure I heard a man shouting I mean, that’s what woke me up. I take the covers from my body and swing my legs to dangle off the side of the bed, the time on the clock read 2:21am. Why would a man be shouting bloody murder at this time in the morning? “I know what you did, you think you’ve been able to pull the wool over everyone’s eyes but not mine! I’ve been watching you for weeks now!” The same voice shouts from the darkness, I turn my head frantically to find the owner of the voice, but still I couldn’t see anyone. The sound of the wind blowing outside starts to rage louder, my balcony door flying open causing a freezing chill to ripple through the room and in turn, my body. My arms wrap around myself to try and preserve heat, the sheer curtains that
I stood with my hands on the edge of the balcony frozen in place, my brain was attempting to comprehend what had happened, but it was failing miserably. Hannah starts to panic beside me walking around the balcony, she begins to speak but her voice was muffled. What could all of this mean? Why did I have a dream about this very thing occurring last night? Yes, a few of the details aren’t the exact match to what I dreamt. But all of the tiny details that make up the dream, are exactly the same! The time that was showing on the clock in my dream, was the extract time that it happened in real life! “Evermore.” Someone calling my name breaks through the haze I was in for a second, I turn around to see Joey stood there looking over at me worried. “Come on, you shouldn’t be standing out there.” He says reaching forward and moving me away from the balcony, Hannah was just in front of us in floods of tears as he also held her arm. He leads us both through the doors of the balcony, before cl
I remain under the tree for what feels like hours, the cold night air causing an intense shiver to run through my body. I knew deep down how badly I wanted to go indoors where it was warm, but my head kept repeating how much of a bad idea that really was. Why didn’t Axel tell me he was a werewolf? Yes, I would have been absolutely terrified as like I am now, but I would have known not to get too close to Axel. It has only been just under a week since I have been here, but even now the intense pull feeling which I have towards him is only growing stronger. I don’t know if that is because he was the first person that I met when I left the attic, let’s be honest he was the person that saved me from the attic. Or the fact that he has shown me such kindness, I just cannot shake the feeling I have towards him. Even now I know what he is, or what he may be, the feelings just won’t fade away. I place my head against the tree with my eyes closed, sitting here right now I didn’t have a clue o
Axel was leading me back into the castle after our talk, his jacket still draped around my shoulders as we entered. I knew I still had so much more to learn of the life I’ll be living, perhaps I could head to the library tomorrow morning and see if I can find any books that will help. I could use the excuse that I’m taking the books I have already read back, but I know Axel won’t mind me doing my own research. We enter the main lobby section, where we were intercepted by around five men all wearing rather fancy clothes. “Sir, we have been attempting to reach you through mind-link for the past hour, you cannot keep avoiding this situation.” One of the men say, the way in which he spoke told me he was rather annoyed at Axel for whatever reason. “And I have told you many times that the situation is going to have to wait, now if you excuse me my mate is cold and is only growing colder while you stand there in our way.” Axel replies giving the men the cold shoulder, I mean yes I was col
I wake up bright and early the next morning, not that I had a good sleep at all. Every maybe hour I would wake up just in case one of those dreams were coming, I really have to get a handle on that if I ever want to sleep again. I decided around 5am that there wasn’t any point me trying to fall back to sleep, so I get ready for the day and read the rest of the final book I had. I had just finished it when the door knocks and in walks Hannah, two plates of food in her hands as she went. I smile placing my book on the bed issue table before sitting crossed legged on the bed. “Good morning Evermore, Joey and Axel are in meetings all day so I thought we could spend the day together, after what happened yesterday I think we both shouldn’t be alone.” She says with a faint smile before handing me my plate of food, I send her a smile as a thank you before she takes a seat beside me. We sit in silence for a few moments, I think we were both still shocked due to what happened with that man.
We soon leave the bedroom and head towards the library, this time around I could actually see where we were going as my guards weren’t all up and close. Hannah still had her arm linked with me whilst explaining, how she wanted to take me on another shopping trip as she saw this specific pair of shoes she just has to get! I only smile and nod as she spoke, perhaps I shouldn’t have reminded her about shopping. We soon arrive at the grand staircase which I think must lead to everything, the amount of times I’ve had to walk up and down this thing is phenomenal! At least I’m getting a daily workout. Right at the bottom of the stairs stood many people, they were standing in groups all wearing black. At first I didn’t really think much of it, but then I saw the photo in the frame by the door, a smiling face of the guy from the library looking back at me. I sigh a little but do look down to see his name, where in black letters stood the name Elliot Baldwin. At least I don’t have to keep cal
I was still very much confused on what was happening as Hannah drags me down the hall, all she told me was Axel has asked to see me but why are we rushing? I was led through a part of the castle which I had never seen before, it appeared to be back passages which caused us to miss any of the built up parts of the castle. After a few moments, we arrive outside but into the part of the garden I also hadn’t seen before. This causing me to worry over what’s happening, why am I being taken through back ways and to places I’ve never seen before? “I’m sorry I pulled you away like I did, Axel and Joey only have a few minutes before another meeting and Axel, really wanted to talk to you about something.” Hannah says as we walk around the castle, the beautiful hills that surrounded the castle fill my vision. I only send her a nod as I couldn’t reply with words, she had pulled me away from the library so fast that I had dropped my pen. Before too long, we arrive at a little building right in
After my mini crying session in the cabin, I head back to the room without even seeing Hannah once. Did she really wonder off while I was in there? Perhaps she’s still annoyed with me over talking with Louise, but I couldn’t just leave the poor woman to stand there and cry. But in meeting Louise, I got more pieces of the puzzle surrounding Elliot, which shockingly, involves me in some capacity. After my guards took me back to my room, I walk over to sit on the bed with the note from Louise in my hand. I repeatedly, read over the same three item list in case I was close to working out what it meant. How on earth am I meant to break whatever curse they’re talking about?! I don’t even know what the curse could be and how someone like me could break it. How do you even break a curse?! But how did this man who approached Elliot know I would be the one to stop whatever is happening from happening? This all began years ago, which would mean when this man found out that I would be the one,
10 months later Toady is finally, the day of my coronation, to the delight of the officials. Our lives have been so incredibly crazy over these past few months, not only having to deal with the investigations swirling around The Dark Secrets Of The Realms book. Which due to the main players in that situation, such as Hannah, Jonathan and the former King and Queen, it wasn’t such an open and closed case. I had to sit and talk for hours with so many officials, they had me go over everything which happened and all the information that I knew! But in doing so, they were able to find where Hannah had buried her mother so she could be laid to rest. She had been in the castle grounds the entire time, under the huge tree they both explained was important to their mother. We had a huge ceremony for his mother which millions of people attended, it was clear that so many people loved Axel’s mother while she was Queen but also after. We also laid Hannah to rest with her parents, I know she made
After a few more moments on the roof, Axel helps me to climb down the ladder which was rather difficult, this ball gown was not made for climbing up and down industrial ladders! The smile on his face from the news I had told him still on his lips, I’m so happy that he’s this ecstatic for us having a baby together. But the smile soon leaves his lips once the official from before walks over, clipboard in hand not looking very happy. “Can somebody please inform me why a number of people are practicing flying from this castle recently, have I somehow missed the invitation?!” He asks clearly very upset over what has happened, I mean there has been four different people meet their end that way. “This is a matter you and I will discuss privately, wait here.” Axel tells the man before turning to me, I smile glad he was going to talk with that man because I wouldn’t have a clue what to say if it were me! Axel smiles placing a kiss on my lips before turning to the man, they both walk to the
Hannah continues to drag me out of the bedroom, at first the empty hallways confused me but I soon remember what I was told from the first ceremony. Everyone was cleared out so there is a clear path for the Queen and the Beta to reach where the coronation will take place, that is a huge problem for me right now. Hannah pulls me right over to the end of a hall to a window at the top of the roof, hang on she’s taking me to the flipping roof! “Climb it.” She growls out at me throwing me into said ladder, I was absolutely terrified so I do exactly what she wants me to. I place my shaky hands on the cold metal of the ladder and begin to climb it, my fear only climbing higher as my body does the same thing. I know I only had this chance to get somebody to help me. “Axel help, Hannah is the person that was helping Jonathan all along. She’s taking me to the roof!” I quickly mind-link him as my head emerges from the window and out into the daylight, this is when I also realise something te
It has been around a week since the event on the balcony, not only the castle but the whole Kingdom taking a hit from what had happened. I haven’t done much else but cry, Colby sacrificed himself to save my life! I didn’t even get to thank him or say goodbye, he was there one minute and gone the next.I know he said he would protect me with his life on multiple different occasions, but never did I believe he would actually have to do something such as that! Axel told me in the moment Colby didn’t hesitate, he heard of what was happening and bolted to my room only leaving the hospital hours before. He mind-linked all of the guards, Joey and Axel explaining his plan. Before anyone had time to talk him out of it, he had ran and tackled Jonathan off the balcony. The saddest part was when I attempted to reach out to his family to break the news, none of them seemed to care even the slightest. They told me he had been estranged from his family for years, some even told me he deserved what
Axel and I had just had dinner together, he still had one last meeting before he could fully be done with his day. I had a clear schedule as always, so I went to the bedroom to start getting ready for the evening. I was laying on my stomach reading a book when the door opens, Hannah walking in sending me a smile as she went. “I hope I’m not intruding.” She smiles hanging by the door for a second, I smile shaking my head placing the book which I was reading on the bedside table. “Joey is in a meeting with Axel but I didn’t feel like being alone, so I thought I’d come see how you’re doing, we haven’t spent much time together lately, with you and your many adventures.” She laughs closing the main door behind her, I laugh as she begins to walk around the room smiling. “Yeah, my life has been anything but calm recently.” I smile as she takes a look outside of the window, this would have been fine if I wasn’t instantly reminded of the vision which I had. “Are my guards still outside, it’s
The next day I was released from the hospital, but was given strict instructions to rest and not fight men in cupboards! Axel took this literally and told me I was to stay in bed until I was back to normal, I was very against this idea now I know who one of the men I have been searching for is. But Axel wasn’t having any of it, he told me this whole search can’t continue without the book which he has hidden anyway. So I was forced to sit in bed all day, but he did head to the library and picked me up a ton of books to read while he had to work. I did really appreciate that gesture, but I would still much rather be finding this guy. I also spoke with my guards and apologised for getting them in trouble, none of them seemed angry at all and told me they understood why I did what I did. I had just read through my third book today, where I place my head against the head board looking out into the distance. The mountain which my dad and his people live catching my attention, I wonder if
A ringing noise fills my hearing, my heart pounding in my chest as I slowly open my eyes. I take a look down at the ground where I discover I’m laying in dry mud, pitch black darkness filling my vision. A woman’s scream filling the area I was in, but I knew what was happening. “Long time no see.” Elliot smiles looking down at me, I roll my eyes as he lifts his hand down to help me stand, I take his offer and get to my feet. “I see you’ve came a long way on this quest of yours, you even found out who you really are.” He smiles as I wipe the dirt from my trousers away, I mean it’s felt like it’s been forever since we’d seen each other, but it’s only been a few weeks. “The man I’m after is Jonathan right, he’s the man which killed you and is after the book.” I say just wanting to get that fact confirmed, I know how quickly this dream or vision normally, lasts with Elliot. “You’re correct that he was the man which killed me, he is also the man which is after the book but, he isn’t work
I spoke with Louise for a few more moments until she had to leave, we briefly spoke about the topic of me still hunting down who killed Elliot. She was overjoyed to hear I hadn’t given up finding who took him away, but she also offered for me to head to Elliot’s home office to see if I can find any clues there. I thanked her and said it was a offer I would take up once Colby is all healed, I know he wouldn’t want me to take anyone else on the secret missions. I was now stood alone in the corridor once again, I didn’t want to rush the guards visiting Colby. This meant my mind had time to wonder, if Hannah and this Jonathan were childhood sweethearts, why did she react the way that she did when we saw him? She acted as though he could blow up in a second, I wonder how he reacted when Hannah and Joey found each other? But what still isn’t making any sense to me is why he would be going after Justin? What would Jonathan want with the book? There are a ton more questions than answers in t
I follow my guards deeper into the castle, we begin to walk down corridors which I had never before. But within a few short moments, I saw the sign for the castle hospital which told me we were going the right way. Jordan walks through the door first to make an initial check, before telling me it was safe to enter. I send him a smile walking through the open door, most of the doctors and patients alike sending me shocked expressions. I soon stop at the front desk, the woman typing eagerly on her computer. She turns to look at me for a second before looking back at what she was doing, but her brain seems to register and her eyes snap to me once again. “Your majesty, I apologise for not helping you sooner. What can I do for you?” She asks in a worried type voice, where I send her a smile to let her know I wasn’t at all mad. “I’m here to see a friend of mine, one of my guards called Colby, I’m sorry I don’t know his last name.” I say knowing how ridiculous that was, how many people he
