Gianna’s POV

The moment I saw her I knew nothing good was coming. I wonder how I even knew she was the one having never met her before.

Caroline.

Her wolf was even more striking up close that is pure white and sleek a stark contrast to the earthy forest. She wasn’t just unnaturally beautiful, she was dangerous, and her presence screamed trouble.

Liam and Tom stiffened beside me their attention snapping to King, whose expression didn’t change. Blank as always. I wonder what would get him to show emotions in those eyes.

But me? I felt something stir inside me. Anger? Jealousy? Or was it the nagging ache of vulnerability that seemed to chase me wherever I went?

I pulled myself up from the ground ignoring the slight pain in my ribs. She cannot see me on the floor like a weak little thing. The baby kicked, a reminder that I needed to stay calm. Stay in control.

“Who is she?” I asked my voice harsher than I intended albeit hoarse.

Liam glanced at King. Tom shifted uneasily. Neither of th

Gianna’s POV“That tray is for Gianna.” The head of the maids called glaring at me from the door. I quickly went towards the tray that is filled with tall champagne glasses filled with amber liquid. I took deep breaths then started towards the door waiting for the head of the maids to move before I passed. “And I dare you to do anything stupid.” She gritted in my ear as I passed. I held the tray tightly as I walked further into the ballroom that is filled to the brim with men and women in all sorts of outfits. Some are funny while others are downright creepy. It is a masquerade ball and everyone is allowed to dress like humans do during Halloween. That was what the Alpha Kings requested for their annual celebration taking place in our pack this year. Every year, one pack is selected to throw an annual party for the Alpha Kings to appreciate their dedication and commitment to keeping the werewolf realm safe from other creatures. Since I was born, it has never happened. Not once.

Kane’s POVI groaned as my brothers tried their best to wake me up. I’m usually a heavy sleeper, and I just wanted to get a bit of rest before we arrived at the Silver Moon Pack, but it seemed like we were there already."You better get dressed if you want to be at the party," Keith said, staring down at me."Why don’t we just postpone it?" I groaned, sitting up and blinking away the remnants of sleep."Don’t answer him," Klaus grumbled, standing in front of the mirror, adjusting his hair.Rolling my eyes, I got up to get ready as well. It was only a few hours before we’d be off to another pack. This life gets exhausting, but being an Alpha King has never been easy.Standing in front of the grand mirror in our private suite, my brothers and I adjusted the final touches of our matching tailored suits. With our identical features—dark hair styled perfectly, stormy gray eyes holding the same intensity, and smooth olive skin—we were the definition of power.Of course there is no other lik

  • The Alpha Kings’ Curse Breaker   3: Three scents

Gianna’s POVI woke up disoriented but the rough hands of the maids that dragged me earlier from the ballroom was too painful. Their fingers are digging into my arms as they forced me to sit up. I blinked but everything was still hazy. My body ached, the bruises from Blair and Olivia’s stinging slaps still fresh on my skin but the pain in my chest was worse. Alpha Eliot’s rejection is burning my insides. As soon as the maids realized that they had succeeded in roughly waking me up, they wasted no time and started stripping me off the stained uniform I was wearing. My eyes widened in embarrassment that someone is going to see me naked. No one ever has. I tried to fight them but their shape commands and tighter grips on me had me shutting up and within moments I found myself stark naked in the cold shower. The water hit my skin like needles but the maids didn’t care. They scrubbed me with efficiency that was more like torture, my eyes blurring with tears. “You’re lucky, you know.” O

  • The Alpha Kings’ Curse Breaker   4: Loathed creature

Kane’s POV Without a word, we turned around and stormed back into the harem, our eyes darkened with a primal intensity. The women inside, who had adjusted their net lingerie and prepared themselves in hopes of catching our attention, shrank back the moment they saw our faces. They could sense the shift in the atmosphere. A few moments ago, we were indifferent, disinterested. Now? We were livid, out for blood. We ignored them, completely focused on finding the source of that scent, our mate. My heart pounded as our eyes scanned the room, senses sharp and wide open. Then I saw it, a small figure where the scent grew sweeter. Limp, half-hidden behind an overstuffed cushion. I moved first, pushing the cushion aside to reveal a young woman, unconscious, fragile, discarded like she meant nothing. My breath caught in my throat. It was her. She was the one our wolves had recognized as our true mate. Without hesitation, I bent down and scooped her into my arms, cradling her gently again

Gianna’s POV I woke up slowly, my head pounding with a dull ache that was somewhere less than before. I winced as I shifted feeling the throb with each movement. My eyes fluttered open and I became very much aware of three enormous figures hovering over the bed I was lying in. What are these men doing here? “Easy, easy.” One of them said quickly, his deep voice soothing though gruff. “We are not going to hurt you.” I stared at them then blinked rapidly trying to make sense of what I was seeing. Three incredibly handsome identical men were standing around me, their expressions a mix of concern and something I couldn’t quite place. They are scary. They were massive, their broad shoulders and muscular frames filing the space around the bed. Each of them had the same dark hair and piercing gray eyes, a stark contrast in the dim light of the room. “Who… who are you?” I stammered, my voice shaky and barely audible. The one closest to me offered a small, reassuring smile. “We’re th

King’s POVGianna was like a storm on the sparring mat relentless and wild. I leaned against a nearby tree with my arms crossed watching her fight like she had something to prove. She used to have something to prove but not anymore. Liam and Tom exchanged quick glances their concern growing as she refused to hold back. I told them not to let her train right from the beginning but having soft spot for her never goes well for them. "I’m not responsible for whatever happens to her” I muttered under my breath, loud enough for Liam to hear. He shot me a brief disapproving look before returning his attention to her, stepping in to block one of her overly aggressive strikes. We know she could fight and that is okay. Gianna wasn’t just sparring; she was fighting like her life depended on it. She wasn’t trying to win, she was trying to forget. They cannot see that though. They hardly understand what goes on in her head. Even Liam and Tom seasoned fighters who could usually handle her reck

  • The Alpha Kings’ Curse Breaker   31: Lost

Gianna’s POVThe room was quiet, save for the soft rustle of leaves outside the cabin window. I lay on the bed, staring up at the wooden ceiling. Sleep evaded me my mind spinning with thoughts I didn’t want to entertain. At least not when I want to sleep. Sleep is very important to me. I don’t joke with it especially at night. Somewhere deep inside me I felt it, a quiet, unsettling instinct that trouble was brewing. The triplets had been absent from my thoughts for weeks pushed aside by my focus on surviva. Also on the life growing inside me. But now with my due date looming, they were creeping back into my mind uninvited and unwanted. They are probably enjoying their lives with their girlfriends. Why now? The curse. That stupid cruel curse. Had I broken it? Or were they still bound to me in some way? Since that was the main reason they wanted to mate with me in the first place. I shifted uncomfortably, running a hand over my belly. I hadn’t felt the mating bond in ages. It

  • The Alpha Kings’ Curse Breaker   30: Comfort

Gianna’s POVThe night air nipped at my skin as I stepped outside the door creaking softly behind me. For a moment, I thought about shifting into my wolf form. The idea of running feeling the wind against my fur was so so tempting. But then I glanced down at my swollen belly, the cute curve of my baby bump pressing against my loose hoodie. It was risk and I knew it. My wolf might be strong but my body wasn’t just mine anymore. With a sigh, I tucked my hands into the pocket of my hoodie and started walking instead. The soft crunch of gravel underfoot filled the air as I made my way toward the pack house where Blair lives. When I reached her window, I picked up a small stone and tossed it against the glass. A soft clink echoed and I stepped back, glancing around to make sure no one else was nearby. The window creaked open and Blair’s bleary face appeared, framed by her chopped blue hair. Her hoodie was pulled over her head, but her narrowed eyes glared down at me. “You’ve got t

  • The Alpha Kings’ Curse Breaker   29: No begging

King’s POVThe morning air was sharp, crisp, and biting against my skin as I pushed open the cabin door. The sky was a pale gray promising the first hints of sunrise but the woods were still cloaked in darkness. I needed to get away. Her scent was everywhere in my space… soft and floral and maddeningly invasive. It clung to every corner of the cabin like a new scent that doesn’t want to go away fast. I hated it. My cabin used to be my sanctuary a place that is void of distractions, a space of greens and browns of simplicity. But now? Now there were splashes of pink and red. Pillows, of all things, bright and soft and entirely out of place. I shook my head as I jogged into the woods. She’d gone shopping with Tom, and somehow, she’d brought back an invasion of femininity into MY space. Why had he allowed it? Or had they conspired together, knowing it would grate on my nerves? That makes the most sense to be honest. As I ran, the ground softened beneath my feet damp from last ni

Gianna’s POVThe cabin door creaked as I pushed it open, King’s heavy presence looming behind me. The walk back from the field had been silent but the silence only fueled the questions clawing at my insides. I kept trying to resist but nope, my brain won’t stop. The fight, the glares, the whispers… they all led back to one name I couldn’t shake. I didn’t want to ask. I have no business knowing everyone in the pack. Not with the way they welcomed me. I didn’t want to know. But the words tumbled out anyway. “Who is Caroline?” I froze as the question echoed in the space, the air growing heavier along with it. My heart raced as I bit my lip, regretting it instantly. I don’t used to being this blunt. I used to stutter for goodness sake! For a moment, I thought he hadn’t heard me. He was so quiet, so eerily still that I began to doubt if he’d even followed me inside. When I turned, there he was, standing in the doorway, his blank expression betraying nothing. As usual. “No one impor
