Two

Thalia's POV:

Our college is a red brick building, large enough to have 15+ classrooms, excluding the staff rooms and offices. The cafeteria is the best place, and the food is great, something that Hera never fails to mention each day.

Life here is weird. Either you have no drama for weeks or chaos unfolds very quick.

The two most famous cases we had were of the students bullying someone, who later turned out to be a werewolf's adopted kid.

It feels surreal to me still, but I don't think the pale faces our college staff had the very next day were a lie.

The kid was never seen again but atleast that shit put a stop to the unethical behavior the students had.

The second one, which happened last month actually, was when someone decided they were the incarnation of Regina George. The whole college was covered in pictures and gossips.

The same person had called me a bitch who deserved to be left in the werewolf territories during the full moon.

The time when the wolves take full control and have high primal instincts.

Yes, I read that in a book.

Honestly, I was both angry and amused.

"I hate you so much. I just realized our first lecture today starts 40 minutes late." Alara says suddenly, her eyes scanning the timetable open on her phone.

I roll my eyes. "You both have your assignments pending. Besides, I wanted to understand a topic."

I reply as I get my bag ready.

Alara grumbles and Hera groans, but they follow my lead and get out before locking the car and handing me the keys.

The parking area is almost empty with students filing into the building, probably for their first lecture.

The only people there still by their cars are those athletic kids who play basketball.

Hera and I give eachother a knowing look and grin as Lara acts nonchalant.

Ryan, the basketball team captain, and a very handsome boy,is like a puppy for her.

It's one of the reasons why most of the people dont like us,if you exclude my big mouth.

It's clear why he has it so bad for Alara though and she knows it.

With cognac coloured eyes and a straight nose, her red lips and defined cheekbones are a definition of pretty. Even those curtain bangs, a result of her 3 am thoughts, suit her so much.

Alara claims she doesn't give a damn but Ryan seems adamant.

"He can wait if he really wants me." She argues everytime we tease her.

"Ah. Enemies to lovers,my favourite" Hera sighs dreamily as we walk past the team and into the building, earning a look from Alara who grumbles.

"Stop being such a grump grandma." I say, putting an arm around her shoulders. "Let's go complete the assignment, yeah?"

Alara complains even though fifteen minutes later, Hera is busy on her laptop and Alara and I are busy collecting points for her work.

"How am I supposed to know what is a mind link?" Alara questions with disinterest as she scans the internet without reading anything.

"It's literally in the word babe." Hera snickers.

"Mind link is when the wolves can talk to eachother in their heads. They don't need to move their mouth or make a sound." I explain as I shove some sour gummy bears into my mouth.

The girls steal them as soon they see me having some.

"Mhm like telepathy. And mind block is?"

"When they build up an imaginary wall so no one can read their thoughts or talk to them in their mind. Seriously Alara, I know you have no plans for an university but atleast try your best for the finals."

Hera scolding Alara is one of my favourite past times.

Alara pouts at her and opens her mouth to retort but before she can do, the siren rings.

"Oh my god! The siren." Hera gasps at us while I give her a confused look.

"Oh come on Thalia. It's the reason why I'm actually finishing college." Alara gives my arm an excited nudge, her eyes as wide as a saucer.

My eyes widen when I realize.

THE siren. OF COURSE!

Every year the siren is heard, only once. The school then holds a meeting in the auditorium for the last year students.

The weird thing is no one knows what it's about and those who do so, not say a single word about it. Even outside school boundaries.

You'd expect kids with such gossip mouths to accidentally say something but not once has anyone ever did.

Their are alot of rumours as to what this might be, but none too sure.

Hera, Alara and I have been waiting to see what it is about, for so long that I can't actually believe it slipped out of my mind.

"I can't believe I'm going to find the answer to those questions I've daydreamed all these years." Hera whispers, her face showing how surreal it all feels.

The cafeteria, which is covered in hushed and excited voices, stops immediately as soon as the senior coordinator enters it.

"All senior last grade students, proceed to the auditorium. Anyone who fails to do so, will suffer consequences." With a stern glance across the place, he exits.

"Damn." I mutter.

In no time the students queue up,with us at the back, and walk towards and into the auditorium.

I'm so busy at noticing the room, which is covered in ribbons and has a buffet set up, that I don't figure out when the door is shut and locked.

All of a sudden Hera gasps and Alara pinches my arm, making me hiss.

But I can't blame her for doing it. Honestly,it's better than shitting your pants.

Right infront of us and on the stage, stand three very broad, muscular and handsome men.

Did I mention they're handsome?

"Werewolves." I mutter in shock.

"I know this shit is supposed to be scary, but damn they're all so oolala." Hera whispers beside us.

Both Alara and I are in too much shock to reply, but I can't deny that Hera is correct.

"Everyone, please stand still and maintain the etiquettes of the hall. No one is to speak until spoken to."

The headmaster takes a breathe before continuing.

"I present to you all, the Alpha, Beta and Gamma of the Muchin city."

No one bothers to clap, pretty sure due to the fear that is quite obvious on the faces. There are still wide eyes and open jaws and I can't help but shiver at the cold eyes the men have.

A man broader than the two, and more muscular, although just the right amount for his figure, steps towards the podium.

His steps are large, quick and purposeful.

His eyes are black and hair brown. I'm pretty sure his strong jawline can cut wood.

"He makes the schools heartthrob look like a wimp." Hera mutters and I glance to find Ryan.

Yeah, definitely baby features.

"Hello everyone." The deep voice echoes in the auditorium and I'm pretty sure each and everyone shivers.

"I am Alpha Caspian." He looks around the room.

Without a warning, a sudden rush of power is released. I can feel it and am about to comment on it until I see what everyone's doing.

I quickly follow them.

"What're we doing?" I whisper question at both Hera and Alara who have their necks bared.

"Dude is releasing these pheromones to make us submit, right?"

Alara seethes.

Oh. Right.

It slipped off my mind that wolves make everyone know who's in control before doing anything.

Stupid creatures.

"But-" I'm about to comment but I abruptly stop.

Werewolves have a very good sense of hearing.

"Good." The Alpha says before he stops radiating power.

"These two here are Beta Nathaniel and Gamma Alexander."

The Beta has blonde hair while the Gamma is a redhead.

"Now straight to the topic. I want everyone who plans to drop out of college as soon as it ends, with no plans for an university, to raise their hands."

A couple hands shoot up, including Alara's.

The headmaster, along with the coordinator and the senior teachers start to point them out.

"15." Alpha Caspian continues, "I want you all to know that it is mandatory for you to fill your university forms no matter your goals. I want the applications from all 15 of you. Is that clear?"

I see people confused and muttering among eachother when a loud growl follows.

"I will not tolerate disrespect. Answer me, is it clear!" His voice booms.

A chorus of "yes Alpha" follows but I can't help roll my eyes at his attitude.

"Everyone of you is to note this down crystal clear. You are to complete your forms fully. No questions remains unanswered. Right after those forms you will give your exam where we'll see how much you know of our kind."

His voice fills with pride.

"Then you are to complete your other examinations. You will then be sorted out for your universities through it. That is all."

I sigh, finally.

I can't believe this is what we were so excited about.

The whole thing was extremely weird, not to mention the power these three radiate.

However, I don't understand why no one speaks of this?

"One of more thing." Alpha Caspian interrupts my thoughts, his eyes scanning the whole crowd before they linger on me for a second longer.

His eyes start to glow red and his voice gets deep and husky.

"You are not allowed to share this with any junior outside this room, nor are you allowed to whisper loud among your selves. Anyone who does will be lead to the headmasters office where I'll personally deal with them."

With a last glance, he gets off the podium.

Was that.....Alpha tone?
