CHAPTER 51

I opened my eyes slowly, regaining consciousness. There was only but a dull throb in my head. I remembered clearly what happened and how I ended up unconscious. My limbs didn't feel stiff and it didn't seem like I was tied up which was good for me.

I looked to my left and saw a familiar bedside table. I sat up in bed and then I saw him. King Tyron was pacing in his bedroom. How did I end up here? Did he find me when the intruder was assaulting me? The last thing I remember was the birth mark and then darkness followed until now.

He stopped pacing and turned to me. Our eyes clashed, the hair on my body rising as I felt the intensity of his gaze. He took fast powerful strides towards me and then I was roughly pulled into his arms, the two large warm trunks cradling me.
