2024-10-29 19:42:56It's been two long miserable days. They bring me food, but I refuse to eat as much as my stomach protests against me. I will not give in to their commands.
Beta Kyle brought me food about an hour ago. I refused it, which pissed him off. He slammed his fist against the metal Bars and told me I would be sorry because I have left him no choice. What does that even mean?.
Sage also refuses to talk to me because I am keeping her from our Mate.
Saying she's a drama queen would be an understatement.
Since I'm not sure what Beta Kyle meant by I would be sorry, I grabbed my phone from my back pocket and dialed Amanda's number.
Please pick up.
"Oh my god, Brinley?". I shook my head and laughed at her squeaky shocked tone.
She probably wasn't expecting me to call so soon.
"Amanda, it's me; oh god, I miss you." I sob into the phone. She paused.
"Brinley, what's wrong?". Amanda asks with concern. That only made me sob more.
"Amanda, I don't have much time; before they come back, I got locked up in the dungeons because I ran away from Beta Kyle. He said I have to be in Solitude ''. I could hear her gasped over the phone.
"Why would you try to run away, Brinley? That is suicidal". She exclaimed. I nod but then remember she can't see me.
"I smelled him, Amanda." I couldn't help the shakiness in my voice. I tried taking deep breaths to calm myself, but it was to no avail.
"What do you mean?".
"Amanda, I don't know why but, I have gotten a second chance." I sobbed at the thought of being rejected again. I don't think I could handle it again.
"Oh my god, Brinley, this is good news." I can hear her squeal and jump up and down.
Yup, that's Amanda for you.
"What are you gonna do?". Amanda asks.
"I dunno."
"Well, I found my Mate," Amanda exclaims, but by her tone in her voice, I could tell she wasn't happy about who it was.
"That's great news; how come you sound so down?." Amanda sighed.
"It's Gabriel." I Gasped.
"What?". But before Amanda could respond, I was thrown up against the concrete wall. "Ow."
I was distracted by the thought of my best friend mating with the Alpha of our pack, the same one that rejected me. I didn't hear the door open. I kept my eyes glued shut, afraid to open them, but that wonderful smell of honey and woods floods my nostrils, and it's intoxicating.
Soon I felt a hand around my throat, and I was gasping for air.
"What the fuck do you think you're doing?". A deep husky voice said calmly but deadly. My voice caught in my throat as I gape for air.
"Answer me."
"I-I c-can't breathe." I finally managed to stutter out. The grip on my throat loosened. I sucked in air, and my lungs burned as the air-filled them.
"Open your fucking eyes and look at me." The Deep voice demanded. I shook my head.
"No." I spat.
My breath hitched as I felt the stubble of his face brush against mine. The electricity spread through my body. My knees become weak against him. His hot breath sent excitement through me and settled between my legs.
"Do not speak to me like again; do I make myself clear." He growled. I cringed.
"Answer me." He Growled louder. I nodded.
"Good girl."
"Now Kyle will escort you to Mrs. Bates, and you will eat, do you understand?". He said sternly. I nod.
"Good girl, Now what is your full name?". He asked. I shook my head.
"No."
"Answer me, Damn it." He growled.
"No, I will not let you reject me," I say, but my voice cracked at the end. The man's deep voice chuckled.
But before he could say anything else, Beta Kyle came in.
"Alpha, calm down."
After Kyle said Alpha, I stop listening to their conversation as the panic set in.
Wait. Did Kyle just Alpha?
"Yes, we are the mate to the Alpha king." Sage chirped.
"How the hell did this happen? He killed his mate sage; why are you happy right now?". I yelled. She rolled her eyes.
"So dramatic." She hissed. I rolled my eyes.
I felt a hand grasp my forearm, and I flinched away. I knew it wasn't the Alpha King. There was no tingle.
"It's okay, Brinley; I'm taking you to Mrs. Bates," Kyle explained. I nodded.
He slipped on my blindfold and yet again grasped my forearm. A loud Growl erupted from the cell. My body tensed, and so did Kyles.
"Alpha, what's wrong?". Kyle asked.
"MINE. " I gasped. Sage, on the other hand, was jumping up and down
"I'm sorry, Kyle, I didn't mean that you may go." The Alphas deep voice spoke.
Once, we were far away from the Alpha King Kyle Spoke.
"You're the Alpha's Mate?". Kyle asked. I shrugged.
"He is going to reject me, so please don't say anything." I pleaded. Kyle took a deep breath. "Okay."
The rest of the walk was in silence. After what felt hours, Kyle finally came to a halt.
He Knocked on a door after a few minutes, and the door creaked open.
"Ah, Beta Kyle, what do I owe the pleasure. " An older female voice spoke.
"Mrs. Bates, this is Brinley. She will be joining the other slaves'. ' Kyle exclaimed. The older woman's voice sighed.
"We don't have anywhere to put her." The older woman said stubbornly. Kyle huffed.
"The Alpha will be sending orders for where he wants her," Kyle says. The woman let out a frustrated groan. "Fine."
Kyle led me inside the door. Once inside, he removed my blindfold.
"Brinley, Mrs. Bates will show you to your room. The Alpha has given a strict order that you eat and relax today before your work starts tomorrow". I nodded. He turned to leave.
"Wait," I said as I grasped his arm.
"Yes."
"Is Katie okay?". My stomach twisted in knots at the thought of Katie being here. He smiled.
"She's fine, and we have already done the mating process." He explained, and I smiled.
"Could I see her?". I whispered. Beta Kyle sighed.
"We will see." I nod once.
"Okay, what was your name again?". The older woman asked. I averted my eyes to hers.
"Brinley." I smiled.
"Right well, let me explain to you how this works; we will give you a number we don't use names, so that number is your name from now on. You will have your uniform tonight. You are to be blindfold at all times. The rooms we assigned to you. You're; escorted there; once inside, you can remove the blindfold to clean and do what needs, done, and once your done blindfold o knock on the door, your escort will take you to your next room, now. Do you have any questions?". "No, ma'am."
"Good, now follow me." I nod.
"What the hell is this place?". Sage growls.
"Hell," I replied.
"The old Bat looks like a Bitch". Sage spat. I laugh but agree.
She's about 5'6 tall and slender; her once brown hair is fading sliver, and the wrinkles on her face tell me she's about 40s to 50s. But still beautiful.
"This is your room. We will bring your dinner."
"Thank you." I smiled. She nodded and left.
I fell back on my bed with a groan. I can't believe this. I can't think I'm going to get rejected again. And my best friend is going to Mate with Gabriel, I sighed. I guess there is nothing I can do about it anyway. Being locked up in the dungeons was not comfortable. I hardly slept those two days. My eyelids become heavy, and just as they closed
