Being called "the adopted freak," and "Alpha's ugly miracle" thousands of times, you have grown to accept that this might be your destiny. This is what Harper has experienced.

But there are always a few moments when "hope" quietly emerges from her heart, that she could find her biological parents, the ones who wanted to spoil her just like Kelly.

Yes, many times, Harper envied Kelly. All those claims that "spoiling your child is harmful" were just sour grapes. She hoped, longed for, and was dying to be spoiled.
