In the three hours, Zander has spent teaching Rose various things from controlling how much focus she put in her sense of smell, how to hold back on her strength if she thought everything around her as an eggshell (Harder than you think), focusing her eyes on what she wanted and tuning things out, she learned three important things about Zander.
The first, he was insanely good at motivating her.
Second, he was good at telling when she faked understanding and getting the hang of things.
Third, he was one of those teachers.
"Zander, I swear to-" Rose said through clenched teeth.
"It's Mr. Blackwood!"
He interrupted playfully harshly.
Rose didn't even know there could be such a tone until now and man would it have been a turn-on if they weren't in the situation they are now.
"It's Mr. Blackwood," she mimicked him, ignoring his loud not so playful snarl.
She struggled not to let go of the bar inside of the gym
When Zander finished and they cleaned everything, Rose was surprised to see him growl agitated, and then pull out his phone and begin to walk away from her.were they done for the day?she thought excited,"So does this mean I can go out without you?"she asked already eager to see the outside. He turned half to her with a scolding yet sorry look on his face."Not even close, can you give me a moment, I have a call to make." He asked, she nodded and he began to walk away."You know I'll probably be able to hear you no matter how far you go now."She taunted out to him sitting cris cross on the couch."Yes, but I doubt you'll be able to focus on this conversation out of everything that makes a sound or moves. Besides, the farther I get from you the less the phone's static will bother your ears."He said already very far away, he was fast even when he was slow. . .dang.Rose wondered how fast sh
Rose threw the doctor a small smile. The doctor stared back at her as if she was crazy and seemed to be about to open his mouth but then his eyes looked behind her and widened a bit and then without missing a beat he gave her a large smile."Of course, Luna, I wouldn't even hesitate to forgive you. Attacking me and almost ripping my goddamn- I mean attacking me was totally understandable. There's nothing to forgive. . . not at all. . . Ha. .. ha. .. ha. . ahh..."He trailed off oddly, his body shaking as his eyes flickered from behind her to her eyes. Through, the bond she felt a sort of darkness from Zander's side and pulled back from it. A blank expression made its way onto her face."Are you glaring at him, Zander ?" She asked dryly."No." He said calmly behind her."You sure?" she asked again."Yes, right Dr. Leonard?" He asked or more like ordered, she rolled her eyes."Oh yes." Dr. Leonard answered quickly.I don't think his answer counts anymore, our mate has made the doctor h
"Oh, I'm sure she’ll give her one hundred per cent," Zander said confidently, his other hand landing beside her mark, Rose tensed as he began rubbing the mark slowly and softly with his thumb. Her lower muscles tightened, her body responding to his touch directly on her mark. The humming didn't start, instead, a direct call to her heat did. They talked for a second and then the doctor was out, all the while her body was still unavailable to move as Zander's thumb played her body like a puppet with just one touch. Zander removed his hands and walked the doctor out, giving her a moment to breathe and collect herself. There was someone else with him, but only Zander entered the second new person stayed outside when he came back in she managed a good expression.Did you just volunteer me for exercise? Her wolf joked."What was that?" she asked with a levelled tone.He ran a hand through his hair, she wanted to do that for a moment."I knew you would reject the idea if we even asked you s
Rose’s head buzzed again with voices and the same thing happened from before, two voices standing out. She squinted at both of the guys as a thought crossed her mind at what was going on.Are they mind linking? And if they are, as I somewhat listening to them. She thought. Rose could hear them but for some reason, she couldn't understand them. Like they were talking underwater in her mind. Vilaks's lips parted to a small o in an understanding of something she wasn't aware of."Oh," He said and then nodded. She narrowed her eyes at Zander,What is he keeping from me? I'd get it out of him one way or another. "So would you like to tell me what's the reason for leaving?" She asked crossing her arms over her chest to look at Zander who glanced at her with an unidentifiable look. "I will, I promise, but for now I have to go have a talk with someone else,"Zander muttered both annoyed and thoughtful at the same time. Before she could say more she felt the air shift and gave up because t
"What does she look like?" Rose asked curiously. "Long black hair with blue eyes, pale skin, slim and around her height," Vilkas said, there was something about his description that seemed off, maybe it was the way he explained it or maybe it was the way his body tensed beside hers. "Or at least that's how she looks now," He muttered, not disappointed but also not very happy. Her brows came together, Now? Did she have a makeover? She asked this out loud and he shook his head. "When I first met her she was kind… Naive… soft-spoken, but . . .now she's turned into a dark, heartless and cruel woman who's not the same. While I gave her shelter at my home, we connected and then mated. It was hard with me being a werewolf and her family not liking our kind…""Wait, she's not a werewolf?" Rose asked, shocked. Werewolf and different types of species mating were very uncommon and rare. Look who's talking. Her wolf piped in. "No," Vilkas replied."Then what is she?" He turned his head
They say that comforting someone is a hard job, but Rose thinks being able to let out heart-wrenching sobs in front of someone is the hardest part. Her instinct kicked in as soon as he dropped to the ground, She wrapped her arms around the much bigger but shaken beta as he cried over the loss of his children. He shook and sobbed and all she could do was rock back and forth, whisper small comforts, push his hair back and let him cry out some of his pain. Her wolf's sadness mirrored mine, the beast felt compassion as well as a new bond with the beta. She hadn't known what to expect from him and now she regretted attacking him, she felt guilty. They sat there for at least twenty minutes, he slowly recovered and just stopped at some point, but he didn't move. She could feel his stormy emotions calm a bit and then as if they were bottled they slowly became distant, there but not prominent. He was pushing it back. "Sorry about that, Luna." He croaked out, he gave a shaky laugh and with
"Are you kidding me, My plan was better, Vilkas," Rose muttered. "This is perfect," Vilkas argued. Turns out Vilkas's plan was to go outside, which she couldn't do because as soon as he opened the door her eyes were blinded and her senses went crazy, came back in after four minutes of looking and placed a huge rock on the dent on the floor. Then he went to Zander's study, grabbed a blank piece of paper, sharpie it out and tape it over the cracks. She sank down to the couch and covered her face. She was surrounded by idiots. She had to be. And their idiocy was rubbing off on her because she was acting stupid. "Oh come on. Just tell him that you're decorating, stand in front of the t.v while you tell him." He explained his plan looking pretty damn proud. Note to self: Betas should stick to their level of expertise. She rubbed at her temples as a pounding began, the same thing from earlier was happening where she kept hearing different almost underwater conversations. Vilkas's ex
Rose could tell that she had caught him off guard because his eyes widened and then began darkening slowly. "Rose?" He murmured huskily, his voice strained as his hands tightened on her own. "Hmm?" She asked, lifting her head and rubbing the tip of her nose on his affectionately. He closed his eyes and did the same, her wolf and beast purring. He opened his stormy blue eyes that expressed his desire as much as her very own. His eyes flickered down to her lips and She parted them a little. He seemed to like her reaction because his waist pushed down, pinning her down, he began to lean down when…"Aww hell no. No grinding while I'm here!" She heard Vilkas yell out, repelled. She snarled at him as Zander moved his head and dropped it on her shoulder, breathing in deeply. She heard a similar snarl build up in his chest. Zander got off of her and offered her a hand which she gladly took. She took in the sight before her, Vilkas was laying on the ground by the tv- again- and in front o
