Chapter 29
After shopping, she went back to the mansion. As soon as she walked into her room, Rose sucked in a deep breath and looked down at her hands. She was on heat, and her muscles ached. Never having been in heat before.
A shiver ran through Rose at the barest thought of Zander. All she wanted was for the king to return and to fill the space with his presence, with his alluring scent.
She wanted him.
With great difficulty, she walked onto the bed.
"Zander..." she whispered, testing the word. A blush bloomed over her cheeks at the utterance, and she turned her face into the soft pillows beneath her with a muffled groan.
God, how she was grateful no one had heard her.
