Richard

Luck! It was tough luck that got us out of that valley of torture and death. I wouldn’t dare look at even a drop of water on the ground because I fear what I would look like if I caught sight of my reflection.

I could die of shock from what I might see and from the way Chloe appears, I didn’t think I would look any better, maybe worse as a result of the number of times I almost had an arrow across my neck.

Irritated, hungry and stinking, I lay down on the black robe which I tried so hard to keep from getting torn as it belonged to Henrietta. I wanted to cherish it as much as I would my memories of her. I stared at Chloe who folded herself in a ball as she sat beside the fireplace.

She hasn’t spoken much since we left the valley and I guess she’s as surprised as I am that we came out alive. She seems lost in thought as she hasn't blinked all the while I watched her stare at the fire.

Taking a long breath, I decided to say a few words to her, “How many more days do we have

Richard "Nana!" Chloe shouted in excitement as she rushed towards the door of the small house. "Nana!!" She shouted at the top of her lungs as she got to the door and was thrown open by an average robust woman who wore a blue button up dress that flowed loosely around her stomach down to her ankle. "Chloe?" The woman asked, pushing her glasses so they were properly close to her eyes, "Niña, is it really you?" The woman asked in a sad voice but she was rather too excited to be sad even though she was sniffing, "Yes, Nana, it's me." Chloe said in an excited voice as she wrapped her arms around the woman in a warm embrace. "I thought I'd never see you again." The woman cried as she began to pepper kisses all over Chloes' face. I've never seen her blush ever or be as excited as she was right now. It was a beautiful sight, watching the reunion but soon, the woman's eyes traveled to me and she gently tapped Chloe who seemed to have forgotten about me, on the shoulder and made her turn.

Henrietta It was already getting very dark in this cell which shows that I have completed yet another day, staying confined to the cell walls. I was close to spending a week in this cell. I haven't set eyes on Gwendolyn nor my father. The last person I had set my eyes on since Gwendolyn was here, is the maid Gregory sent to bring me something to eat and drink. More often than usual, I thought about how possible it could be that Gwendolyn is behind my prolonged stay here but on the other hand, she promised to get me out. I haven't stopped thinking about Richard. His safety out of Odyssey and Chloes' return as well. I was becoming restless and tired of having my heart get so close to my mouth, in fear and hope. Could it be that she was arrested on her way back? Could there be a chance they have been slain by bandits on their way out? These thoughts and more kept on running through my mind. I couldn't take it anymore either. "Help!!" I screamed but my voice only echoed within the

RichardLeaving Chloes’ Granny's home, is a decision I was so close to regretting because I haven't been able to find my way yet and the sky doesn't look friendly at all. Rumbling sounds of thunder filled my ears and I knew it was just a couple minutes until it started raining and there was no sign of shelter anywhere around here. I was in the middle of nowhere, trying to find my way even though I had no idea what route leads to where. I had to keep walking straight, that way if I lost my way, I'd just turn around and walk back to Chloe. There was a sudden loud noise which sounded like people whispering and footsteps but when I looked around, I couldn't find anything as I was surrounded by nothing but trees, tall trees on every side I turned but I could still hear them. Instantly, I began to walk towards where the sound came strongly, walking carefully so as not to make a noise just in case they were harmful.“A bunch of dried woods and herbs for the physician,” I heard a soft femin

Richard “How did you get in here?” Charles asked yet another question as soon as he found me awake , “How are you even alive?” “Ah, you'd have probably done the honours of killing me even before King Kenneth found me,” I retorted but his unusual silence made me speak up fast, “you would, won't you?” I asked and he shrugged "Not that I haven't thought about that but if you asked nicely, I might.” he stated, “besides the bounty placed on your head is so huge a reward that even father would be tempted to hand you over to King Kenneth himself, so who am I?" He asked “That's impossible. What is so huge that would even make father bat a lash in regards to King Kenneth's ordeal!” my voice boomed in the room and Charles turned around to grab a coat from his wardrobe. “How about two of the richest lands by the water bank between Odyssey and us? The very land which father claims belongs to us but has been in King Kenneth's possession for centuries.” He replied in a flat voice before lookin

I need to go to Richard, especially after someone deserted him on her supposed mission to keep him safe.” I sassed before rolling my eyes at her, “How long do we have until we leave this room, I'm hungry, tired and need to be wit…”“With Richard as soon as I can, I know, I know.” Chloe said, finishing my statement before I could. “We need to wait until nightfall before we leave and we would have to use the front gate, It'd be a lot easier.” She explained and I let out a sigh before holding my jaw in my palm.“We leave tonight.” I said to her and she nodded but there was a sudden whispering outside the door, “I thought you said sounds don't leave the room or come in?” I asked chloe as the voices became a lot more audibl

Henrietta “How long does it take before we get there?” I asked Chloe since she was after all part of the werewolves. “Uhh, we are not so far from it,” she replied, “but when we get there, what next?” She asked, while leaning on my back as she snaked her arm around my waist to hold me tight. “We speak with King Harold and see Richard as well.” I said to her but she coughed out a laugh, making me wonder what she found funny. It was just I and her in the middle of nowhere so what could she possibly be amused about. “What is funny?” I asked, pulling the horse's strap to bring it to a halt before tilting my head to the side to see her through the corner of my eyes, “tell me,” I urged her. “So, we both get to King Harold, talk to him about what?” she asked and I realized I haven't actually thought about that. “Mmhm, when I get there, I'll figure something out.'' I said in a thoughtful voice but she wasn't satisfied. “And?” She asked yet another question which was beginning to get an

Richard I couldn’t imagine leaving here to any other place especially since I haven’t been ratted out yet. After the experience and how tired I have gotten from having to stay out for long and without shelter, I can say this happens to be my worst travel experience. "Father’s right, you know?'' Charles asked, “the earlier we get you out of here and to the hideout, the better.” he stated while lifting the tray from the table and placing it on the bed where I lay. I stared at the tray, the fruits, cakes, wine and grilled chicken that decorated it and if I was in my right frame of mind, I would have dive into it and had my fill but I wasn't and that also took away my appetite. I peeled my eyes off the tray and raised my knee so that they met my chest, before burying my head between them, “I’m not hungry,” I sighed, “No, now stop being a princess.” he retorted while sitting at the foot of the bed, “What is the actual problem? Henrietta It’s been almost an hour since King Harold left us in something that looked like anger to go get us Richard. I don't know if he is actually going to get him or get used to getting locked up, “How long does it take my father to get someone himself?” I asked Chloe, just in case it is a King thing to keep people waiting for this long unattended. “Not this long I know for sure but whatever happens Etta, just know that I love you and warn you against all of this.” she whined across me, before placing both of her hands on the long table between us and tapping her fingers in a rhythmical manner, which made me hiss before leaning on the backrest of the chair we had been offered while “You can take your veil off, stop acting like you didn't lie about being a fortune teller and getting everyone but the king out of his throne room. “C’mon now are you really going to blame me?” she asked, throwing her hands in the air. That was a necessary lie and you know that.” She defended,

Richard There was an unusual tension in the air. The halls of the dungeon were becoming more and more crowded with soldiers and maidservants, going in similar and opposite directions. Although I was a little bit worried, because unlike the other times when they held large woods in preparation for my execution, they had royal veils and golden pots of fragrance. "What is going on?" I whispered. If only Chloe had come, I'd have gotten firsthand knowledge of everything. She's even the reason I'm still alive, as she sneaks food and water to me through Gregory. "Prince Richard, there's been a few changes," a guard said walking in my direction and just when I was about to step closer to the gates to speak with him, his form began to diminish the closer he got to me. And the moment he was at the gate of my cell, his form had completely disappeared. "Stupid Shape shifters," I cursed through my teeth. "Why hello there," Nemiuehs' voice filled my ears, the exact last person I wanted to se

Henrietta It's been a couple hours since I announced to my father and sister my ordeal with Richard. And I have never been more proud! But it is one thing to be proud and another to have the fate of the one who makes you feel proud decided upon by your treacherous sibling. She didn't want him before, so why now? 'To be Queen,' a voice whispered in my room. I knew there was no one in here with me because I shut the door myself. "But she can't be Queen, mother is alive and well!" I scoffed, staring at my glowing reflection in the mirror while gently unwrapping my hair. I needed a moment to fully understand what has happened to me, the transition, the… the new me. As my hair fell gently to my back, I couldn't help but admire the shiny silver strands and its new length. 'The coming days would be tough, my lady, beauty may have to wait' the voice whispered again and just then, my room door was thrown open. "We need to go!" Chloe said, rushing into my room. "Huh!! She tilted her head a little high, "He'd be persecuted, your majesty," she gulped, peeling her eyes off him. What is going on? “Is it now her words over mine?” I asked in disbelief, “It is enough that you gave her a position I was supposed to occupy but you have to listen to her now?” “When the spell wears off, you will understand better but for now, I'll have the guards take him away.” “You wouldn't dare!!!” a voice boomed in the throne room, startling everyone including me but when I realized that the voice had come from me, I took a few seconds to readjust before I continued speaking. “I am not under any spell and why would you have her words over mine?” I asked, “You would know my whereabouts if you cared one bit about me!’ i snapped. “I understand that you do not recall so much as a result of the spell bu…” “I am perf

I wanted to give my sister an earful, at least before we are taken back to odyssey. The energy that seeped out from GWnedolyn became intense the minute Chloe got closer to me and I could see it seeping from her too. My eyes widened , “You?” I pointed at Chloe and she furrowed her brows, “You led them to us?” I yelled, fighting every urge to hit her, “What do you mean?” She cried and then it dawned on me that she might have no idea, and pressing further

I concentrated on pleasing her because I wanted her satisfaction more and focused on her soft moans and whispers. Suddenly, she began to moan a lot louder and I knew she was close, “Ri…Richard!!!” She screamed and I knew it was about time I met her just where she was at and with few fast strokes, I brought my head to the spot I had been touching and flipped my tongue repeatedly over there till a moan escaped her lips after which, I grazed my fangs carefully above her skin before piercing my fangs through her skin. Panting heavily like one who had a marathon, I collapsed beside her before snaking my arm around her to pull her close to me. “I love you,” I whispered next to her ear while snuggling closer to her as I awaited her response but after waiting for a few minutes and nothing came, I chuckled at the possibility of her falling asleep in the m

Her sister was after us and so is her dad but specifically, after my head.“Don't you think I'm worthy to be marked by you?” She asked and inwardly, I wished that this conversation could be avoided. She sat up and turned so that she was facing me completely, “I have waited for so long, can't you see?” She asked, “the more you extend this, the closer you get to losing me.”“Don’t. You. Ever. say. Richard It was already dead into the night and the silence that came with nightfall filled my ears, but was toned with the chirping sound of crickets in the bushes. I couldn't sleep as not only was I contemplating Charles' outburst today, but Henrietta's request as well. “Then you might have to think again,” those words played repeatedly in my head, clouding my thoughts so much that I couldn't go to sleep. I kept tossing and turning until I couldn't take it anymore and decided to sit up on the bed while resting my back on the wall. I stared at her sleeping figure and subconsciously, I pictured myself marking right then. What would happen if she is taken away from me? What would happen if we were separated? Could she be right about there never being a perfect time for us? What if she is not but then, what if she actually is? These questions kept me confused and awake as I wondered whether or not I should give in. if only she knew that I want it a lot more than she does but t

RichardI walked out of the cabin to where Charles was standing with his back resting on the bank of a tree. All through my walk out of the room, I couldn't stop thinking about Henrietta's attitude which was beginning to be a great cause of concern to me. She spoke so seriously about that dream of hers and…she saw that I was in danger before the uproars at odyssey. Could it be possible that she could be a…no no no, I better not even think about that. Anything was possible at this point but please, not that.“What was that about?” Charles asked sharply the moment I got to him and I raised a brow as to what exactly he was talking about.“You mean her request to be marked?” I asked but he shook his head.“That's none of my business and I still wonder why you haven't gotten that done yet but that is not what I'm on about,” he waved his hand in the air as if dismissing the conversation before narrowing his gaze on me. “I heard her, those low words she said about it happening, what was th

I knew what I saw in that dream and I felt it too, it was so real, as real as the others before it and Charles' presence confirmed it. “Etta, this is not the time.” Richard protested but it was now or never. Not for me but for the both of us. They were going to seperate us and that's for sure. I saw it clearly, I saw it happen. Yanking my hand out of his, I walked back to the bed to sit on it while bringing my knee up to my chest. “Don't be sad, My love,” He said softly before taking his seat on the bed
