He came out and quickly walked towards the stair, he ran as fast as he could down the stairs. He went past the third floor, the second floor, and the first floor, he was on the last floor not knowing what waiting for him. He got to the third floor and was shocked at what he saw. "What the hell?", he said on seeing the damage that was done, he quickly walked towards the back door and there he found his foes. He was dumbstruck and stood still, "hand over her to us and go Scott free", they said to him. 003, stood thinking about what to do, 001 had warned them already not to harm anyone except the bad guys. But right now, he was in a disadvantageous situation, "don't you dare", he heard from his earpiece. It dawned on him that his colleagues were watching what was going on. "Don't you dare drop her or hand over them to her, we got you covered", 001 said. His hope rose again, "at the count of five, jump to the left, I bet you already know what we are about to do?", 001 said. 00
I was about to sit when I discovered something wasn't right, I ran out of my office immediately in search of Jane and before I could shout Jane, she fell to the floor. I could hear screams from the ladies around, "stop shouting and get to work", I ran towards her and carried her. I looked at her face and she was turning pale, I ran into the elevator, and immediately we got to the third floor I ran towards my car. I opened the back door and placed her in the back seat, closing the door immediately. I ran towards the front door, got into the car, and drove off to my grandfather's hospital. I drove as fast as I could but did my best not to go above the designated speed limit. Within forty-five minutes, I arrived at the hospital. I came out and walked to the back, I opened the door and brought Jane out of the car. I carried her running inside the hospital, the nurses saw me and ran towards me. A male nurse took her away from my hand and carried her to one of the wards on the do
I drove half way to his office and parked, for the fear of being followed. I didn't want to risk loosing another set of people again, I wore my nose mask and boarded a cab to his office to avert the media attention. I couldn't bare being in the news for stupid reasons, "Saint Lewis street", I said to the driver. The cab man turned, I perceived he recognized my voice. "Any problem?" I asked him. "Nothing sir", the cab man replied and drove off. Through out the journey all I could do was ponder on who was behind my recent woes. This wasn't the life I wanted for people around me, I could bare being hurt, being kicked at my face, being rejected and cheated, but I won't tolerate it when the innocent people around me begins to get hurt because of me. This was the height of it all, its high time I take the bull by the horn and bring an end to this sudden unrest. The cab stopped at the front of his apartment, I paid the T fare and came out of the car. I sent him a message on What
Jeffrey walked his boss to the gate, "good bye Jeffrey, I am amazed at your level of intelligence, a new dawn is about to be birthed". "Absolutely", Jeffrey replied. They shook hands and Nicholas walked out of the compound, he stood at the front of the gate waiting for a cab. He stood close to thirty six minutes before he could board a cab, surprisingly it was the same driver who drove him when he was coming. "We meet again my friend", the cab man said. "Yeah we do, maybe fate has something in store for us, what's your name?" Nicholas asked. "My name is John", he replied. "Nice name", Nicholas replied going through his phone. "Do you think fate brought us together again for any reason?", John the cab driver asked. "I think so, because I believe nothing just happened", Nicholas replied. "If you say so, I believe also, but I have a story to tell, I don't know if you are interested?" John asked. "Yes I am, go on", Nicholas replied hurriedly. "Well, it's a short story of a pow
"You have just gulped down two cups while I haven't gotten a drop into my mouth", I said collecting the cup from her. "You aren't ready to drink", she replied and I noticed her eyes began to close and her legs began to wobble. Before I knew it, she collapsed. "Not again", I muttered. "Security! Security!!" I screamed. Three of them quickly rushed into the living room. "Take her to my grandfathers hospital, tell them she is from me, go now and be fast", I said. They carried her and removed the cup from her hands. I picked the cup and shook my head, "what's really happening, if I was to be an African, I will say I am being curse, but I am not, so what's really happening?". I took the bottle of alcohol and the cup into the elevator, I got to the top floor and walked to my room. I sat on the bed and poured the drink into the cup. I gulped down everything, "there's no one stopping now". I continued untill the bottle was empty, at this point I wasn't myself. The only thing I co
I went through the number one person on the file, both the client and his target, checking their different social media accounts and also checking the internet for any latest news about them. I did this till I got to number fifty-four, I was about to check number fifty-five when a call from an unknown number came in. I stared at my phone and was shocked, my mind flashed back to what happened in my office when Nicholas got a call from an unknown number. I continued with what I was doing, leaving the phone to ring. The caller kept calling, and it got to the sixth time that I had to pick up because of the disturbance. "Who is on the line?" I asked. "The friend you turned into an enemy", he replied. "Excuse me what do you mean?" I asked. "Time will reveal it to you", he replied. "What do you want and why did you call?" I asked. "This is to inform you to watch your back, those who you have hurt are coming back to hurt you and your grandson, prepare for war, this might be the las
"What do you mean?", I asked getting afraid. He bowed his head and muttered some audible words that sent a chill feeling down my spine. At this point I didn't know if I should tell him about the attack I had this morning, I don't want him to get more scared. He raised his head and held my hands, "Nicholas, no matter what happens, learn to hold on and don't quit without a fight". I nodded my head and tightened my grip on his hands, "Grandpa, I have something to tell you". "What's that?", he asked looking into my eyes. I looked at him and could feel the pulse from his hands, his eyes seems to be getting dim. "I was attacked this morning, guess who sent the assassin?", I asked. "I have no idea son", he replied, letting go of my hands. "J. Dickson", I replied. His eyes widened his shock, I guess he didn't know the time he opened his mouth. "No, it can't be, tell me you are joking around like you normally do?", he asked getting up from his chair. "No I am not, I guess they ar
"It's okay boss, it's just that delay at this point is dangerous", Jeffrey replied. "Yeah I am aware", I replied. "Boss we got a big problem", Mark said fixing his eyes on his phone "Spill", Jeffery said looking relaxed. "We have got intruders", he replied. "Shit, they still followed me here", I muttered. "Be calm boss, Sandra you know what to do", Jeffrey said smiling. At this point I became lost, seeing the way they responded to such a situation. "What's going on with you guys?", I asked feeling nervous "Nothing boss, this is the best time to test what we have been working on", Jeffrey replied and walked to the fridge to get something to drink. He returned to his seat, I looked outside and saw armed men walking towards the door. Jeffrey noticed how tense I was and tapped me on my lap, "Be calm boss, nothing is going to happen". "Don't you think we should brief him?", I heard Mark asking Sandra. "Brief me about what?", I asked. They both went mute and directed their
