Killian's POV

The next day arrived, and Lucille and I were ready to make our way back to the Lycan pack. I couldn't contain my happiness at having finally found my mate. I held Lucille tightly, afraid that she might disappear if I let her go. She gladly stayed by my side, enjoying the attention and care I gave her.

We stood together, overlooking the landscape as the sun rose, painting the sky with beautiful colors. It was time for us to begin our journey. Lucille's presence filled me with a sense of strength and determination. I felt like I could overcome any challenge that lay ahead. Holding her close, I cherished the connection we shared, as if it was meant to be.

Lucille's vibrant spirit and unwavering loyalty had captured my heart completely. I was no longer alone, wandering through life without purpose. She had become the guiding light that led me forward, the one who kept my restless soul grounded.

My gaze shifted towards a young man with short brown hair and a strikingly pretty face who was making his way toward us. Lucille spoke up, introducing him as her younger brother, Ashton. I couldn't help but notice how pale and unhealthy Ashton looked, causing concern to flicker in his mind. I wondered why someone from Lucille's family appeared so frail. Did they not take care of him? However, I decided not to pry into their family matters. After all, it was not my place to question or judge.

I waited beside the car while Lucille went away to say goodbye to her parents. I didn't miss the glare she sent in her brother's direction. " Won't you introduce yourself?" I asked Ashton, my voice must have surprised him because he flinched back. He looked up at his, his soft brown eyes very alluring. I agreed to myself that this boy was the prettiest person I have ever seen, he looked so fragile that it was hard to tell whether he was a Beta or Omega. " Don't be afraid, I am your sister's mate which makes us family. You can feel at ease with me."

Kira's POV

I didn't want to feel at ease with him! In fact I didn't want to be close to him at all. But my father had insisted I go with Lucille to the Lycan Pack, pretending to be someone I was not. Although I already knew how much my father hated me before, I never thought he would do something like this. Why did he need me to go to the Lycan Pack? Why did he give me scent blockers? Why did Luna Amy command me to always wear Lucille's clothes before she does? All of those questions made my mind restless. I knew that if the Lycan King finds out the truth about my identity I would be severely punished. My father would find a way to push all the blame on me.

" T...Thank you "

" Even your voice sounds feminine, it is very strange " the powerful Alpha stated, his gaze burning into me. Even though my hair had been cut and I had been forced into baggy and worn-out male clothes, there was nothing much they could do about my voice, the only solution was that I talked less in front of the Lycan King, better yet pretend I was dumb and incapable of talking at all. It was too late for that since I have already spoken. " Where were you at the celebration last night? I didn't see you "

" I...I had some chores to take c..care of last night "

" Chores?" The son of a pack Alpha was doing chores at his own sister's engagement?. Alpha Killian was very suspicious and I knew this. I was terrified, at this point, I was almost tempted to fall on my knees and beg. However, the man smiled at me, as if he hadn't just been asking questions that felt interrogative. " Anyways, I have a younger brother as well and I know that the both of you would be very good friends. Your sister is my precious mate and I will take care of her family accordingly. You need not fear me "

I wondered if he was still going to think the same thing once he discovered that my family had lied to him. I wasn't sure if Lucille was the King's mate or not, but I was certain there was something they were hiding. There was a reason my father wanted me to go with Lucille, I just hadn't figured it out yet. I stood beside the Lycan King doing my best to make myself small. I couldn't help observing how good-looking this man was. I had never seen such an attractive man in my life. It wasn't just his chiseled jawline or eyes, although those certainly didn't hurt.

He was the epitome of attractiveness, possessing a magnetic charm that drew people in wherever he went. Standing at six feet tall, he had a well-proportioned and athletic physique that exuded strength. Alpha Killian had dark tousled hair that fell effortlessly across his forehead, framing his chiseled jawline. One look at him and Kira wasn't able to take her eyes off him, it was no wonder Lucille had been willing to toss away her relationship with Xavier for him.

Hearing footsteps approaching us, I turned my eyes to see Lucille walking in our direction with a smile. She didn't even glance at me as she went to throw herself shamelessly into the arms of the king. " My love, I am ready now. We can leave "

Aloha Killian treated Lucille like she was the only woman on earth. The way his eyes filled up with warmth as love made me believe that he wasn't the Lycan King that was rumored to be ruthless. The Lycan pack was feared for a reason and it was all because of him. It is said that he had the most powerful wolf in the world, he could take down an entire pack all by himself. He was not someone to be messed with, my father had still dared to do just that.

Perhaps I was the only one who was worried about the outcome of the lie. Lucille didn't seem to have a care in the world as she cuddled the man. " Come, let's get the journey started " Alpha Killian led Lucille into the luxurious car, he turned his attention to me as I stayed frozen in place watching them. " Would you like to ride with us, Ashton?"

" No! I don't want him..him coming with us. " Lucille snapped glaring at me. " I want us to spend some time together Killian, Ashton can ride in the other car. "

" As you wish my love" Killian didn't think twice before granting her request. He ordered that I ride with his Bata's while he and Lucille cozied up to each other. For some reason, I felt sad, not because I couldn't sit by Lucille but because a part of me had hoped he would stand by me. But I knew that was wishful thinking, after all, he was Lucille's mate while I was no one to him. I should be glad he hadn't asked me to walk, if it was up to Lucille she would have insisted I did, just so she could see whether or not I would make it to the Lycan Pack alive.

" Hey, little man. Come along, we don't have much time to waste " I followed after the man wearing dark clothes. There were about four of them dressed the same way, I had to sit between them. " So your sister is mated to our King, you must feel very proud. You look rather frail for an Alpha "

" I doubt he is an Alpha, he's probably an Omega "One of the other men turned to look at me with a disgusted gaze. I shrank back in myself wanting to be small.

" No wonder your family treats you badly. It must be such a disappointment having an omega son "

" Ethan, how do you know his family treats him badly?"

" It's pretty obvious. He looks pale and malnourished. Plus I didn't even see him in the celebration yesterday, so it must mean that he was locked up somewhere so he wouldn't be seen "

I felt so embarrassed at that moment. They didn't even try to hide how badly they thought of me. After all it was unheard of for a man to be an omega, those who found themselves in that unfortunate situation were outcasted from the pack. But in my case I wasn't even a man, but I was forced to take on this identity, and I had no idea why? Why was my father forcing me to go with Lucille? I thought he didnt even want the Lycan King to know about me.

I had so many questions to ask, but I knew that there was no one who would answer them for me. So I kept my lips sealed and blocked out the conversation around me. Hopefully my stay in the Lycan Empire wouldn't be as bad as it was in my pack
