Thank you for reading. I've been unwell lately and updates will be slow.
Adira I woke up to tingling kisses on my neck and a smile formed on my lips, I inhaled my mate's scent and turned around. " Morning, my love," I purred and he growled sexily, making a shiver run down my body. He was so sexy especially when he growled like that. His hands were caressing every part of my body and my nipples stiffen under my pajamas. My mate hovered over me and my fingers brushed softly against his muscular bare chest. Wyatt smirked and I blushed under his gaze. I pulled him down for a kiss. His fingers traveled down my core and I thrust my hips against him. The spark of our body contact made everything so much bed, and I craved more. I was so wet and his eyes darkened when he thrust in me with his fingers. He pulled down his pants and entered me, making me moan delightfully. Before I could think, I was moaning his name and begging him for more. He was devouring me and my body felt hot, I grabbed his hair tighter and I purred. I felt it coming and his moves accelerate
I was at the border with Mrs Khuna, a huge hospital was being built not far from the camps, the infrastructure wasn't as lavish as the ones in the city, but it was something. " And the mortuary?" I asked. " Already done, the funding you sent to my office helped us a lot," she smiled at me and I nodded. " What about the medicine, and all we'll need?" " Everything will be ready and, as you instructed, Doctor Chad and the other gentleman will be heading for it as they know better what is lacking," she told me, just as I saw Chad approach us. I smiled as he came to us, bowing to us. " Luna," he said. " Long time, how have you been?" " I've been well, and you?" " We are alright here, and thank you for what you are doing," he said. Chad updated us about everything that was going on at the time, and I was impressed with the improvements that have happened in only two months. I also noticed that we didn't have a lot of sickly men and the severely injured were sent home for better
I hissed as the wolf bit into me and I shrugged it off before biting its head off. ' Don't get distracted, I like watching you kill,' Zion said, amused. ' Call this attack off!' I demanded, my anger surging through me. ' Adira, you can mind-link anyone, interesting. I read somewhere that an alpha female can do that. He was amused, and I growled in his head, his wolf was an alpha and starting tall. He was proud because he knew how powerful he was. ' You and I will be so great together,' he said. ' Never,' I spat. Looking around for him, the motherfucker was watching me. ' Behind you,' a strange voice sang, and I turned abruptly, instantly killing off the dark wolf in mid-air. ' Nice,' ' Corey,' I sighed, and in the far corner of the trees, I saw them watching me. Corey waved with a grin and I growled, killing the tiny wolf that bit my leg. ' You're distracted,' Indeed, I was ignoring the two men. I focused on the surrounding fight, and when I looked at where Corey and Zion were
WyattI was deep in my work when my general mind linked to me, informing me about the attack at the border. ' My mate is there, keep her safe at all costs!' I ordered as I flung my office door open and shifted into my wolf form before I could even reach outside the palace. My heart was thumping, this is why I never let her go there, but Adira is persistent about going there. ' She's fine, sire,' Senator Lego's voice rang through the mind link. I was relieved that she was alright. I was at the border in twenty minutes and my men soon arrived. A couple of generals rushed to me as I shifted back and someone gave me pants I hastily put on. " My mate, where is she?" I asked, looking around for her. " Sir, she's in the tent," General Washington seemed confused. I let out a sigh of relief, she was alright. " How bad was the attack?" I asked. " It wasn't bad," Julius said. The generals seemed to be hiding something from me. " It's good then," Aspen and Jett joined me. " Only because we
Adira My eyelids fluttered open, but I soon squinted my eyes shut because, just like my body, my eyes were heavy. I tried to open them and a small smile made its way to my lips when I fully opened them. Wyatt was sleeping next to me in the chair. His hair was messy and failing to his forehead, I must admit, my mate was truly breathtaking. I looked around the room to find myself in a hospital room. It was nicely dimmed, and my favorite daisy flowers scattered beautifully around the room. ' Kira,' I called to my wolf, and she immediately jumped in excitement. ' You're awake!' ' You seem upbeat,' I said. ' Yes! I feel stronger and brighter,' she said. I watched my mate sleep for a few minutes and decided to try and mind-link his wolf, Rolf. ' Close your eyes and take me through the link,' Kira said, and I squinted my eyes. ' How?' ' Just picture us in one place, and I'll do the rest,' I wasn't sure if that was possible but decided to trust her. Kira knew better than me.
“ You saw that doctor, she was the one all over me,” Wyatt almost shouted, and I scowled at him. “She almost forced herself on me despite telling her, she needed rest,” My cheeks burned as I turned my head to look out the window. Wyatt was such an aah! He enjoyed embarrassing me. The doctor giggled and came to my side. “ Hello, Lady Adira, how do you feel,” she asked, checking my vitals. “ I’m alright, just a little tired,” I told her. I was feeling better, and my wolf healed me fully, but my body was not at full strength yet. “ Hmm, indeed, I’m truly impressed by your strength. You gave so much in the fight yet look like this two days later.” “ Two days? I’ve been asleep for 48 hours?!” she checked her wristwatch and nodded. “ Yes," “ Wyatt,” I complained. Why didn’t he tell me? “ You didn’t ask,” he said. Luca should have been back and tried to call me, but I was passed out. “ Luca!” “ I picked him up, and he’s back at the Estate,” Azriel said, and I smiled at him.
The next few days I spent at the Estate with my brother, or I was at the palace with my mate. He was true to his word about letting me get involved in everything that happens around the pack and the parliament; the senators treat me much better and are so polite. Just three days ago, I was invited by Senator Sorel, a senator of the southwest district, to listen to their discussions even without my mate's presence and their discussions were insightful. There are about 17 districts in the Black Diamond pack. As I suggested to Senator Sorel about letting girls train and women be part of the army, he did bring up the motion, but most of them didn't seem to like that idea very much. A few states mentioned that women have been asking for that rule that said they can't actively be in battle removed, so we are working on that. I wore a turtleneck dress that reached my knees and heels before leaving the bedroom. I was going to the palace to discuss with Senator Sorel. " Good morning, Ma'a
Wyatt was glaring at me, his veins pulsating. " Azriel?" he asked. " He- I heard him play the song a few times," I said with a small smile on my face. My mate seemed to be in thought before he nodded once. " I have a meeting, I'll see you later," his mood had changed and I frowned, blaming myself. Why the fuck did I bring Azriel up? " Are we going home together later?" I asked softly, my hand gliding over his gently. " I'll stay a few hours and meet you there," he sent me a tiny smile and left the room. I slumped back in my new office chair and closed my eyes. It was comfortable. I pressed a black button on the arms' rest, and it started vibrating. ' It feels good,' I moaned. I loved getting massages but hadn't done it in a long time. I will call Monique on the weekend, and we can go to the spa. I opened the laptop on the desk, and I was pleased to see that everything was already ready for my work. A knock sounded and Leila walked in, she would be my assistant. The most w
A year went by without Ethan, and it was torture for Kate, she had cried thousands of times and she thought her tears would run dry but she was wrong. She didn't know how the love of her life was doing except he was alive thanks to Azriel, she was grateful to have him by her side. " What did the butler say?" " He found out where they are holding him and we can go rescue him with a few of my warriors," he informed me and I smiled, going to hug him and he hugged me back. " Thank you, Azriel," I cried, pulling away from him. I didn't know what I'd do without him and I'll forever be grateful that I ran into him in that bar. " When are we going?" " Tomorrow," he informed. I was restless the whole day, we were waiting for night to come to invade the hunters and the next day, I was at the border of the Diamond pack before everyone arrived. The journey to Creek Fall town was two hours but most of them had shifted in their wolf form and I rode in the car with Azriel. Kate's heart was thu
The past two weeks were blissful for Kate and Ethan, they spent most of their time in each other's arms or watching vampire movies. " Do you do that too?" he asked as they watched a vampire movie, stifling a chuckle and she elbowed him in the gut. He grunted. " Why are they sparkling like that though," Kate murmured in wonder. She couldn't watch anymore so she stood up, deciding to stretch her legs for a while and it had been long since she went out to hunt. " I'm going to hunt," she sighed, wearing a coat. Ethan stood up and pulled her towards him. " I thought you preferred my blood," he purred in her ear, making a shiver run down her back. He left kisses on her neck and purred but she managed to push him away. " I want to stretch," she said. He smiled at her and nodded, watching her leave the cottage. Ethan was feeling terrible for not telling Kate who he truly was but his wolf told him that vampires and werewolves repel each other. Ethan's heart hurt at the thought of losing K
“Am in a very bad mood and you should leave to save your skin,” Ethan warned.Detective Bradley took a step back, almost mentally placing his hand on the latch of his gun. He could see a murderous glee in the visage of his enemy, Ethan.“I have a few questions regarding that lady friend of yours,”“ I don't know anything about her, like I said, am in a very bad mood and don't want to answer questions,” he repeated, hoarsely and whisperingly. “If you don't leave, am going to have to hurt you,” Ethan emphasized, trying to avoid eye contact, he was struggling with his inner wolf to maintain control as he wanted to take over and rip the detective to pieces. “I don't give a fuck ass what mood you're in. We can have this conversation out here or we can take it to the station.,” he replied, “It's your move mate”Ethan said nothing, he just remained placidly still.“Are we going to have a problem?” he asked again, readying to use brute force“ Please, go,” he struggled, sweat forming on his t
It was a pleasant night for Ethan but, as always, she was gone when he woke up. Leaving his office, he decided to leave his car and walk on foot. He was beginning to find a sinister satisfaction in these forbidden hours of the night. He hurried to the side of the street. The rain had just stopped and the sideways were still moisture-laden and the neon lights of the dry bar across the street glowed irritably across the range of his vision. He folded his hands into a fist, gnarling and pissed at nothing in particular. He stood there a moment and gazed fixedly at the strange gathering of the night colors in the air. He needed to hit something. It was the only logical thing to do. It was the only thing that felt like it would calm his restless soul. And maybe it was going to take the pain away. He stopped, feeling intense pain all over his body. He breathed in and started to walk, ignoring the pain earlier, but it started again. His heart was beating erratically and he stopped, touch
THE YEAR 1895 The gentle luster of his eyes lifted to the burning noon sun through the small window. Mathias Icarius Montgomery leaned over and craned to see the outside world through the iron bars of the prison that held him. A cloud of dust flew in and then rushed into his eyes and he drew back irritably but quickly recovered to his earlier position at the window. His last moments of freedom were these. He had been accused of treason, and he was on death row, sentenced to be hanged the following day. The failing hope that now possessed his visage was owed to the thoughts of being in this state, unable to be with his ailing wife with child. He stood, relishing the pallid scene outside. The people, buried in the turmoil of the usual vending, filled the streets, stretched through every narrow gate and boulevard, and discharged into a stream of many, making their way to this pitiful scene. In the street swelled diatribes of profanities and muffled chanting and voices of other unfamil
This was it. This was the day that she was going to die. She knew that she had to pay the price for the only day that she could spend with Ethan. This was the price she had to pay. Her father got up in the same fashion, and he could see everything that was happening. The wind was loud and still violent and this wizard was not here for any kind bargain. Halomir stretched out his hand, wading it in the air, and she knew that no good thing was going to come out of this. She launched onto him and took him down. She was going to die, but not without a good fight first. She pinned him to the ground and loosed her fangs. Suddenly, he blew some powder in her eyes and she became blind momentarily. Black magic, this was black magic. She fell back, moaning. She was blind, she could not see. She could hear the wizard approaching where she stood, and again she made a second attempt, but he caught her in midair and lifted her from her neck with one hand. Not only did he make her weak, but he had
It was only a few hours into the night. There was no doubt in her mind that Detective Bradley Burke was going to do everything in his strength to make sure that she didn't see the light of day again. Kate seemed calm in her seat, there was no need to fight it yet, it would only make things worse. Detective Bradley Burke glared at her through the mirror. She was sitting in the back seat, “How did you do it?” he asked her. She looked up to meet his eyes. “How did you kill those people?” Did he want to know? She eased her gaze on him. She knew it was easy to compel him even through the glass, but she wouldn't want to do it just yet, because Ethan was probably soon to be involved, so she would let it play out naturally for now. She looked away, ignoring his question. “I am going to make sure that you are locked up for a very long time” he promised. “And I am going to get the truth out of you one way or another,” She immediately let out an involuntary chuckle that stroked Burke as an i
Kate was escorted outside the house by Ethan. He opened the car door for her, and she got into her car and began driving away. She could see him in her mirror, standing on the driveway, watching longingly with his beautiful eyes, and she immediately envisioned what it felt like when his lips were deep into hers. Her lips parted as she lost herself and tried to escape her wonderful reverie. What was happening to her? Was this what love felt like? Was it even possible that she could feel love? Finally, in the distance, he disappeared, and her heart skipped a beat, already missing him. Doing the impossible, meeting him in broad daylight was impossible. And even if magic could do it, a huge sacrifice would have to be paid to just be able to stand in the sun without being scorched to death. Yes, that's it, black magic. After a few hours of driving, she approached the trail leading directly to the castle. She stepped out of her car and treaded carefully there. She trudged up the hill a
Ethan’s house, lit from within, stood at the far end, close enough for her to watch. Kate could see his silhouette moving about in his bedroom, and she stood in silence, watching, soon to head directly there. She would have to explain why she was hurt and why she had come here. She braved another step, then immediately sensed a variant presence in his house. It was different from the female servants. She searched with her sharp eyes and finally confirmed the reason for her dissatisfaction. Nestled on the bed in his bedroom was a woman, Danielle. The window was wide open and everything was revealed. Kate had been the one to compel her to forget what happened when she was lost in the night. Kate had done this kindness to get Ethan to focus on everything but Danielle. Kate watched in wondrous suspense. Danielle was sitting in his massive white bed dourly, as if unsatisfied with something. That perfume she wore only meant trouble and Kate scowled, then hopelessly cowered, fearing the wo
