Isaiah P.O.V.Leading my mate into the dining room, her arm comes around mine seeking my protection, I think. Everyone in there quiets down when we enter, and Ivy looks around with big eyes. Maybe this is not a good idea on the first night here. Maybe we should just go to our room and eat in there, just the two of us? The thought barely enters my mind before my mate is stolen from my side by my mom, who introduces her to everyone and leads her to one of the available chairs. Ivy looks over her shoulder with apologetic eyes, but I just smile at her and move behind them towards the table. If anyone dropped a pin now, we would hear it hit the ground. I have never, as long as I can remember back, thought I would experience people being so quiet and calm. “Everyone, this is Ivy. Ivy, this is everyone.” Mom says gesturing to the table. Ivy nods to them, and one by one they introduce themselves. “And you already met Elise, Hunter, Gabriel and Flora.” Mom concludes, sitting down with Ivy. M
Ivy P.O.V.The light snore in my ear momentarily confuses me, until I feel the arms wrapped around me and the sparks traveling all over my body. I sit up in horror, thinking for a second it’s someone I don’t know, only to see Isaiah blinking owlishly at my sudden movement. I breathe a sigh of relief, before a new worry overtakes me. Why am I cuddled up against Isaiah? Did we do something while I slept? Did he take advantage of me after all? I look down at myself, the oversized t-shirt still in place. I lift it slightly to see the panties are there as well. Huh?! I guess we haven’t done anything except for sleeping. ‘You rolled over last night, and mate just protected us with his strong and delicious arms.’ Raven says, barking a laugh at my panic. ‘So, we didn’t do anything? He kept his promise?’ She nods in my mind before curling up again. She is not the most talkative of wolves, but she is my best friend and has been there for me so many times. I know she is always here when I nee
Isaiah P.O.V.Ivy and I enter the kitchen, walking hand in hand. I am proud of her! She has been doing amazingly ever since we found her in the castle, and now she is facing the pack just a day into being here. At the usual table the others are waiting for us. We usually only use the private Alpha dining room for Sunday dinners, and private holidays. I sit down at the end of the table as the Alpha, and Ivy sits on my right. Everyone greets us before going back to their conversation, which is nice because it shows how they are trying to take the heat off my mate. She was the sole center of attention last night, and today she is part of the family and they don’t have to look at her all the time. I stand, asking Ivy what she would like to eat and she just cocks her head. “I can choose?” She asks, her eyes holding that innocent disbelief I adore and hate all at the same time. I keep forgetting how horrible her life has been! “Sure! Come on, little faerie, let’s get a plate and choose
Ivy P.O.V. When Isaiah said his sister and cousin take this shopping thing seriously, I thought he was maybe joking or trying to exaggerate to make a point, but he did neither. As soon as we were in the mall Elise and Lillith took my arms and steered me in the direction of a store with gadgets. I look over my shoulder, confusion overwhelming me. “I thought we were going to buy clothes?” I ask, but the girls just shake their heads. “Isaiah said you need to be hooked up, girl. That means we are going about this right. You need a phone and a computer at the very least, and we’ll probably get you more.” Lilith explaines while Elise flags down a salesman. Isaiah walks up behind me, possibly feeling my confusion and nerves. “Relax, little faerie. Let us spoil you.” He whispers in my ear, kissing my cheek. “But this is not necessary, Isaiah.” I whisper back, but he just leads me along the rows of computers and phones, following Lillith, Elise and the salesman. “Yes it is. You are going
King Edor P.O.V. “Your Grace?!” I look up from the paperwork on my desk. “What is it?” I ask with a frown. They know I don’t want to be disturbed, but here we are. “The Queen is asking for your presence in the throne room.” He says with a bow, and it takes everything in me not to scream in frustration. Ever since that awful Wolf King was here Briell and Asthi have been insufferable. Briell doesn’t shut up about the unfairness of her stepsister being his mate, and how it should be her as his Queen, and Ashti has tried to find out why I was so reluctant to let my stepdaughter go. She doesn’t need to know, which I have implored in everyone who knows just a smidge about my plans with Ivy.“I am busy.” I say, dismissing him with a handwave. He opens his mouth, but apparently thinks better of it and leaves the office. Good for him, or I would have turned him into something nasty. The paperwork cannot occupy my mind now that I have been reminded of Ivy, and her face keeps popping up in m
Isaiah P.O.V.“Ivy?” I stroke my mate’s cheek with a finger, kissing her lips lightly, hoping the contact and matebond will wake her up. “Mmmh?!” She says as she stirs in my arms. “Baby, it’s time to wake up.” She stretches like a cat besides me, her eyes fluttering open and her expression confused. “What time is it?” She asks, and I chuckle. “It’s 8.” “In the evening?” She sits up, and I shake my head. “In the morning, baby.” Her expression changes from confusion to utter terror. “I.. You.. I slept all day and night?” I nod. “Yeah, I couldn’t wake you, so I let you sleep.” The look of terror worries me, and as it doesn’t go away with my answer, I pull her into my arms and kiss her hair. “What is going on in the beautiful head of yours?” I ask, rubbing her arms, trying to calm her down. “I can’t believe I slept so long. How could you not wake me? Is everyone mad at my tardiness? I am so sorry. I didn't mean to be respectless.” I hug her, the sheer panic in her voice and the w
Ivy P.O.V.“Why would she run to the Council? They are not as misogynistic as they were before?! She would not not get anything other than a ‘that’s a pack matter’ from them.” Isa says, a frown on her face. “And why on earth would she even try that bullshit at breakfast? Everyone knows the pack already loves Ivy to death. She is a real sweetheart, and hearing about her interaction with the guards only added to the love for her.” I blush at her praise. Isaiah mindlinked his parents to meet us and the other ranked wolves in his office after the breakfast incident. “Well, if she does run to them, we have to have it under control before they decide to interfere.” I nod, looking at the others, but both his parents shake their heads. “There should be no need, son. Ivy is your mate.” Elijah states, but Isaiah just sighs. “Yes, and she is a hybrid. We never did get the law pertaining to hybrids altered, and we need their approval officially to allow me to have her as my mate.” Isabella
Isaiah P.O.V. The word about our interaction and tour through the pack with Flora, and as we returned to the packhouse people were greeting us with smiles and kind words. It especially seemed to warm Ivy, and I couldn’t help but melt a little when children came running up to her, each of them wanting a hug and giving her a wildflower. At the end she hugged about 20 kids and had a whole bouquet of flowers in her hands. She thanked each of them, the crowd watching her interaction with them closely. Murmurs about how natural and kind she is spread through the crowd, and when the last kid was gone, I pulled her to me and whispered in her ear. “I am so proud of you, my love.” She blushes deeply, which only makes me smile even more. She’s so cute when she does that.I lead her inside, where she goes straight up to the kitchen and asks an Omega to help her find a vase for the flowers. “I can take them, Luna and bring them wherever you want them? The kids probably got them from the meadow
Hi all my lovely readers. This is where the new book following Astra, Jasper, Jonas, Flora and Jenna will be updated. It has been decided that the book is so tightly knit to the second book, that I have to update it this way, which also means I will not start updating until the new year, so I have a bundle of chapers to start out with, and it will be a project on the side as I am also looking at signing something new and exciting. But don't worry, I will not let that affect my quality or updating rate, as I hope the extra time until I start it regularly, will give me the opportunity to uodate 3 times a week as I use to. That was the sereious part. Now for someting more related to the new book. After the war is won, and Isaiah and Ivy say goodbye to Jasper, Astra, Jonas, Flora and Jenna, everything seems to be fine. They know Jenna has been acting kinda weird and clingy towards her children and Flora, but everyone has been brushing it off to grief over her mate's death. Jasper howev
Isaiah P.O.V.Ophelia turned out to be a great asset to our motley crowd. And the kids immediately took to her, finding her training fun and relaxing at the same time. Eli, Gabe and the twins understood the importance of practicing meditation and other forms of mental defense. Emmet and Ilina just thought it fun and different, although they had a harder time sitting still both of them were determined to be as good as their siblings. Most of the time Ilina fell asleep during meditations, which Ophelia said was fine. We fell into a good routine after Ophelia also joined us, and soon it was time to prepare the kids to leave the Realm of Magic. We were all sad to go, but I think Ivy was the saddest of us all. She really felt at home here between her parents and all the wonderful creatures we got to meet. On our last day we decided to bring the kids back to the stream, giving Ophelia and Archeron time to pack and be ready for the next day. We have been here for so long, the kids kinda fo
Ivy P.O.V. We have been here for a little over a month now, although I know that is not even half of that in the Mortal Realm, I cannot help but feel a bit bad for just leaving everything to Aiden, Alisa and Isaiah’s parents. They have been doing a great job so far, and only had to call for me twice until now to help solve disputes in the pack, and once for something regarding another pack and a treaty violation. I love to help, and it was nice to see everyone again. Isabella also had some time to yell at me for getting pregnant again, cry because this is definitely the last one and almost faint when I said it’s twins. One of each. We had the doctor another scan just before they called me for the treaty thing, and we got the news. Isaiah is over the moon, and the younger kids are beginning to understand that momma has to be a bit more careful because of the babies in her belly. Ilina has been so loving ever since I came a little further along. Mom says it’s because she can sense them
Isaiah P.O.V.“Well, congratulations your Graces, you are indeed expecting twins again. I understand you wish to have them in your own home, which I understand. You should still be able to enjoy your stay here, but take it easy and with the slightest discomfort, please come see me again.” The female doctor, a former witch, says with a small smile. “I will monitor you from here, but perhaps it’ll be best if someone also notifies your doctor back in the Mortal Realm?” I nod, looking at Ivy, who seems far away. I take her hand, bringing it to my mouth. She turns her head in my direction, but she does not seem to actually see me. “Doc, may we please have a moment?” I ask, also asking Eli to go back to his grandparents. He looks at his mother with deep concern, and I know the empathic side of him is tapping into her, feeling everything she is. “I got her Eli. Please see your grandparents for now, son.” I tell him, leaning down and kissing his hair. He nods silently, following the doctor o
10 years laterIvy P.O.V.“KIDS I AM GIVING YOU 5 SECONDS TO GET OUT HERE, OR WE ARE GOING WITHOUT YOU! 5, 4, 3.. Thank you!” I’m standing outside the packhouse with Isiah, Eli who is 10, and knows by now not to piss off his mother when we’re going somewhere and our youngest, Ilina who is 2 and sleeping in her stroller. Isaiah shakes his head at me, and kisses my temple. I sigh. I know I’m more impatient today than usual, and that says something, because I’m always impatient when we’re going somewhere, but today is very special and we’re going to be gone for quite some time as a family. Out of house rushes our other children; Gabe who is 8, and the actual spitting image of the uncle he is named after, the twins Isobel and Elain who is 6 and finally our 4 years old Emmet. I put my hands on my hips and look them all over, while Eli and Isaiah snickers behind me. They’re just happy they are not the ones who are in trouble this time. “I am blaming us for being late solely on all of you
Isaiah P.O.V.We table this discussion for later, and follow dad out the door and out back where a ton of chairs is placed facing a small decorated platform for me and Ivy. I cannot wait to see her in her dress. I know she is a little self conscious right now, but she is just gorgeous and I love her so much! She is going to be a vision, I am sure of it. We take our place as everyone is finding their seats in the crowd. Aunt Jenna smiles at Jonas and taps a seat beside her. She has placed herself in the front, and with enough chairs free so Jonas, Astra and Alisa can sit with her I think. I just raise an eyebrow and make a last minute decision. “Actually, aunt Jonas is in my bridal party, so he is standing today.” I tell her politely, winking at Jonas. I mindlink Ivy, telling her about my abrupt change and explaining why. She laughs over the mindlink and tells me she’ll inform the others. Flora was made head of the flower girls, and had to stay with them, saving her from my aunt as
Isaiah P.O.V.“A toast to the happy couple! Congratulations, Isaiah! You really are a lucky man.” Aiden says, smiling at me. We are sitting at the breakfast table, just us guys. I raise my champagne glass to him, toasting in silence. The rest say ‘hear hear’ and drink with us. We are having a great morning so far, but I am starting to feel the small nervous jitters of excitement. This day has been long coming, but is finally here. Today I am going to make Ivy my wife! She is already the mother to our son, and seeing her take that role with such passion has been one of the greatest moments in my life! I know she thinks I am a nervous wreck when it comes to Eli, but I just can’t help it. With everything we have been through since I found her in the Fae Kingdom, I am going to keep myself on my toes regarding our son. No one is ever going to hurt him. I know that for sure because they will have to face the wrath of my soon-to-be wife, and I’ll handle the leftovers, but still. He is our so
Ivy P.O.V. Two weeks later We’ve had our little Eli with us for two weeks now and he is just a little angel! I must admit as much as motherhood scared me, and we had some minor setbacks, such as I am not able to breastfeed him, I really love being a mother. The thing with breastfeeding was a hard blow as I had heard so much good about it, but I was just not producing milk. Isaiah has been a trooper navigating my hot mess of emotions - going from high to low faster than Elsa chose to let it go in Frozen. We finally had some quiet time to sit down and watch some movies and be a family - meaning a Disney marathon. It was an amazing evening. Everyone in the pack has welcomed Eli with open hearts, and I could not be more proud. I have also decided to divide my reading time for the little ones with Isabella, as she really enjoyed herself when I was in labor. She has Tuesday and I have Thursday. The kids have been nothing but sweet and gentle with my son, cooing over him and doting whenev
Isiaah P.O.V.4 months later “ISAIAH!” Ivy screams from our room. Our wedding day fastly approaching, but we decided to wait to get married until she had our baby. She’s been a real trooper through the pregnancy, and has been bedridden for the last month because the little rascal may or may not come early if she didn’t. Not that she wasn’t doing everything right before to keep him in there for as long as possible, but sometimes that is just not enough and you have to do more proactive stuff to ensure a full term baby. She’s been having a tough time accepting that, and twice a week I have been carrying her to the downstairs living room, where she has been reading to the littlest pups in the pack. They have been so fascinated with her growing stomach and the fact the next little Alpha is in there. I adore her, swelling stomach and all. She is as beautiful today as she was the day I met her - minus all the bruises. “ISAIAH I MEAN I… OW!” I jump to my feet, hurrying into our bedroom. I w
