Analyn POV
I stared at her, dumbfounded.
"You are what!?" I cried out. I couldn't believe this. That asshole vampire took advantage of this poor innocent girl. She couldn't even defend herself since her wolf never came out!
"I am with child, and it's Dave's child," she repeated.
"How could that happen?"
"I don't know. I had an accident when I was little, and a doctor said I could never bear a child. But here I am, pregnant!" Charlotte said.
I shook my head. This girl. She sounds happy. Doesn't she realize how much trouble she is in? Who knows how Ambrose would react when he found out one of his pack members was pregnant with a vampire's child.
Charlotte's face suddenly turned dark. "I knew it. You hate me now, don't you?"
"What? No. Of course not. But I do think you made a mistake," I said.
Charlotte looked at her hands. "It doesn't feel like a mistake."
"It's not your fault, Char. He se
Was this a mistake trusting Selena?
Ambrose POV "There was another sighting of the drider." Logan said. It had been almost a month since his last attack, but we couldn't find him anymore. It was as if he had disappeared from the face of the earth. "Maybe he went back to whatever hell he came from," Theo had said when we failed after searching for weeks. "Then we will look for his home." I never gave up and kept looking for him. He killed my father and one of my best friends. I couldn't let him off that easily. "Where was he seen?" I asked Logan. "A hunter saw a giant spider-like creature in the woods up north," Logan said. "I will personally go and kill it. He thinks he can come into my territory and kill my men? I don't fucking think so," I said quietly. "We will be right behind you," Theodore agreed. But I couldn't chase after it just yet. I had more important matters to deal with at home. Ana was just about ready to give birth. I couldn't leave
Dave POV Little wolf is avoiding me. I had been visiting her almost every day since we slept together that night. At first, it was me who tried to avoid Charlotte, as my main purpose was to see Ana, but she never left me alone. She always felt my presence and dragged me inside her bedroom, then peppered feather-like kisses all over my chest until I didn't want to see Ana anymore. Not that I tried too hard to escape... Eventually, I stopped wanting to see Analyn entirely. I started to visit Charlotte's bedroom directly. "You won't break my heart, right master Dave?" she crooned on my last visit. "I couldn't," I said huskily, inhaling her beautiful scent. And that was two weeks ago. I kept trying to find her, but she kept hiding from me, constantly. It upset me greatly. "Where do you go every night? Don't tell me you successfully seduced the Luna of the Lightbridge Shadows Pack," Chloe giggled as I was leaving the
Ambrose POV"Don't go."I looked at Analyn and narrowed my eyes. "Why not?" I asked. I had planned on doing this for s long time now and tonight felt like the right time. But Analyn looked unhappy."You should forget about Dave and focus on everything else that's more threatening. Like the drider! Shouldn't you be looking for that monster?" she exclaimed."I have decided to punish Dave first, and I will stick to the decision," I said determinedly."But...Charlotte is in love with him. She deserves a chance in happiness even if it's not with another werewolf!" Ana squealed. In love with a vampire? I took in that girl despite her being a rogue from my enemy pack and this is how she decided to repay me? I am going to have to deal with her later."No arguments," I said gruffly, then gently grabbed Ana's jaw. "I know you love Charlotte, but it'd be good for her if we get rid of Dave.""I'm not so sure about that," Analyn said quietl
Analyn POV"Get me out of here!" I screamed into Ambrose's ears."I am trying my best to do it fast without hurting you, goddammit!" Ambrose barked. He was wincing as if he was in pain. Why is he making that face? I was the one giving birth to three wolf pups!"I am going to create this portal so we can go to the hospital quickly," he said and raised his arms."Stop talking about it and do it already. They are going to come out soon. I can feel it," I groaned."I am in pain too, and it's making me weaker than usual. Jeez...so this is what it's like to give birth. This isn't fun at all!" he said.Oh, I forgot he could feel my pain too, I thought as he moved his hands around. I saw sparks coming out of his fingertips as he drew a circle. He kept moving his hands around, making the circle bigger."Almost done," he cried."They are pushing themselves out! I can feel it, ugh!" I breathed faster. Maybe I should make
Ambrose POV"Who are you?" I growled at one of the intruders wearing a black hoodie and silver mask. His eyes burned with hatred. His hand gripped the knife so tightly that his knuckles turned white. He didn't answer and pressed the knife on my throat. I couldn't move an inch as I was bound by a thick chain. I tried to use magic to break out of it. I even tried to teleport, but nothing worked. I was truly trapped. The chain had to be charmed or made out of special metal. These fuckers came prepared.I looked over at Theo and Logan, who were trapped under a large net, like fishes out of the water. Logan was still unconscious. How did we get here, you ask? Let's go back and elaborate.***One of the pack members informed me about seeing the drider at one of the woods fifty miles from the town. It made sense because woods surrounded the area and the drider needed a new home since the one in my territory was off-limits.
Ambrose POV The punch landed on my jaw, but I hardly felt it. The man shook his hand as if his hand hurt from hitting me. He forgot that humans had nothing on a werewolf's strength. "What the fuck is your jaw made of?" the man barked. I held back my laughter and glared at him instead. "Don't hurt yourself. Are you going to take that mask off, or are you going to keep hiding behind it like a coward?" I sniffed the air around him, still trying to identify him. He smelled so familiar yet different. His voice also sounded like he was faking it. Then suddenly, I realized something. He was trying his best to hide his scent. He must've rubbed something on his skin like he poured a shit ton of fragrant oils all over his body or bathed in it. But if he was trying to hide his scent this hard, it meant one thing... We knew each other already. "I know you don't I? And you don't want me to know who you are? Wow, you
Analyn POV My entire life is a lie. And it only took a few minutes for me to know that. My father. My sweet, kind, generous father, who also happened to be a great leader, turned out to be someone who was after my family and me. He stood up to move toward me but stopped. "I can't move! What did you do to me?" he asked as he froze in place. "Keeping you glued to the ground until we are done talking. You've got a lot more explaining to do, old man," Ambrose said nonchalantly. Ambrose must be controlling dad with his mind, so he couldn't move now that he was defenseless. "Dad. I am not a human either. Does that mean you were going to kill me eventually?" I asked. I couldn't stop my voice from trembling. "I didn't want to. So I convinced the others to spare your life so my wife and I could adopt you. We took you to that witch, so your magic powers will be blocked," dad said. "And now that they are o
Charlotte POV WhenI first saw Dave, I was afraid, but at the same time, I was mesmerized. He moved with the grace of a panther, determined eyes, and the confidence of a predator. He was like an alabaster god come to life, long and sculpted. He captivated me with his black, soulless eyes. Time stood still when he moved closer to me, his touch woke something in me. Perhaps it was my wolf who had refused to come out no matter how much I willed it to. Will I ever become a true wolf? I had no idea. But the moment our eyes met, I knew I wanted to be his more than anything. He thought I was some silly little naïve girl who wasn't aware of the darkness that loomed over him. But it was quite the opposite. I knew as soon as we met. I've met vampires before, but he wasn't anything like them. His energy was different, and it was evil. He had his eyes on Analyn, and it wasn't because he was in love with her.
