Irinira POV

"Take your clothes off."

I wasn't in the mood to play nice.

Seduction was for sinners who wanted to pretend they were saints, not sinners who were embracing their sins with me.

Neither I nor Theo needed to be told which category he fell into now.

"You aren't going to offer to play a game with me? Fulfill a fantasy?" Theo said. A small smile teased his lips as he looked at me. My eagerness must be amusing to him.

I didn't have the patience for his playing or any playing at all. My hunger was a gnawing ache in my belly; my whole body hurt from the burns inflicted by the iron the woman had used on me.

Grimacing, I offered, "If you close your eyes, I can change my voice. I can't do anything fancy right now. I'm hurt. I'm hungry. I'm not able to offer more. Take it or leave it."

If Theo chose to 'leave it' with me, then I was going to get gone as fast as I could hobble away.
