I’m Dying-Tika

When I step into the darkness, everything is still. There are no sounds and no one in sight. My breathing sounds heavy in the still air as I look around for an answer. A bright red light shines in the distance and I start to walk toward it. The closer I get the more color it shows. The light starts to have a golden pool form in the middle and I find the sight enchanting. It looks so warm and inviting.

My fingers twitch on my right hand and I just know that I am supposed to touch it. I just have no idea what will happen when I do. So, with a deep breath and a huge leap of faith I place my hand into the light. Pain races down my spine as I watch the light disappear. I scream as I feel it flow into me through the tips of my fingers. It’s almost like its burning me alive as I collapse to my knees.

I pray as I scream. I just want the pain to stop. It feels like I am dying a gruesome death. It burns all the way up to my arm and settles into my chest. With all my might I take a deep breath
