Chapter 6 A Fool

"I told you, he has retired for the night. Come back tomorrow!" Liam hissed, blocking Alicia.

Alicia scoffed. "Then wake him up. Do you really think he's a prince or something? He's nothing but a piece of shit we flushed out of our house. He's seeing me whether he likes it or not!"

Though Alicia was bossy, Cindy didn't flinch. "You can't say that about Elijah! He might not be a part of your family anymore, but he's our VIP! He's already asleep, and our family does not rouse our guests!"

She'd seen a lot back when her family was still big. Alicia's request was refused, and she was subtly calling Alicia a mannerless wench whose family education was lacking.

"Ooh, Elijah, Elijah. You make me sick. If you're not doing it, I'll wake him myself. Get out of my way, or else!" Alicia was too idiotic to figure out the quiet insult in Cindy's reply. She kept making her way to the second floor, threatening the family openly.

"I won't. If you want to get to him, you'll have to get through me!" Cindy was determined to stop Alicia.

"You think I'm scared of you?" Alicia's eyes glinted icily, and she gave Cindy a big, fat slap. The sickening smack echoed in the air, and a red, blotchy mark covered Cindy's cheek.

Elijah heard the commotion, and he came out only to see Alicia. "What's going—" His face fell. "I've already cut all ties with your family. Why do you guys keep coming here?"

"Finally out?" Alicia had nothing but anger for this man. She demanded shrilly, "Tell me, is this woman the whore you hooked up with? When did that happen?"

"Mind your own fucking business." Elijah was getting impatient. "I left your house, and I've signed the divorce papers. I can date whoever I damn please, and you don't have the right to question me!"

Alicia was born with a silver spoon in her mouth and the youngest of her sisters. She was spoiled rotten and turned out to be a brat. Everywhere she went, everything must go her way, or she would make it everyone's problem.

Elijah used to be a submissive sycophant, but now he was standing up to her. 'The nerve!' she thought. Alicia roared, "How dare you take that tone with me, you piece of shit! I command you to take this bitch and kneel right out of our house and apologize to Natalie! And make it loud! You're doing that until Natalie forgives—"

Elijah sneered. "You think you can lord me around? You want me to kneel to your Natalie? What is she, the queen? Is there nothing in your head but a pile of shit? Get your filthy ass out of this place. This might be a house, but I don't have time to play house with a fool."

Alicia was the stupidest one among her sisters. She was arrogant, short-sighted, myopic, and quick to anger. She'd try to cross anyone who got in her way even if she would end up dead or worse. If Elijah hadn't been cleaning up her mess time and time again, she'd have been eviscerated years ago.

The underworld did not take to people like her kindly.

Alicia was black as thunder, and she screeched, "Did you just call me stupid? How dare you! How dare you try to kick me out!"

Elijah didn't want to waste even one more moment on her. He pulled Cindy to his side. "Stay away from that mangy bitch. You don't want to get bitten. Rabies is no joke." He then noticed the red mark on Cindy's face, and the look on his face took on a tinge of frost.

He turned to Alicia, fury flickering in his eyes. "You did this?"

Cindy answered instead, "No, she didn't. It's not what you think, Elijah." She clapped her hand to her cheek and shook her head.

Alicia didn't even deny it. Arrogant as ever, she didn't think Elijah was something she should take seriously. "Yeah, I did, and so what? What are you going to do about it, trash?"

Elijah sneered and darted ahead like an arrow. Before anyone could stop him, he slapped Alicia twice across her face. The smacks of his slaps echoed across the stairwell.

Alicia was flabbergasted. She stared at Elijah in disbelief, and she stayed that way for a long, long while.

"Y-You hit me! You bastard! My family raised you, fed you, clothed you, housed you! We gave you the best, but you cheated on Natalie right after you got married, and you wouldn't even help Grandpa when he was on his deathbed, and now you're hitting me? You ungrateful piece of shit, I—"

Alicia was shaking with anger. She roared feral and pounced at Elijah. Elijah smacked her face hard and sent her tumbling down the stairs. He looked at her with deadly iciness, his bloodlust palpable.

"Apologize to Ms. Hudson, or I will slaughter you like the pig you are!"

Alicia's mind was blank. She'd never been hit before. Even the fiercest underworld leaders showed her respect, but a piece of shit she'd bullied for years slapped her, and three times at that.

"I-It's alright. It was just a little tussle. It doesn't hurt!" Equally shocked, Cindy quickly held Elijah's arm.

"Sorry you got dragged into this." Elijah looked remorseful.

"This isn't over, you dogs! You're going to pay for this! With your blood!" Alicia scrambled back up. Blood was trickling out of the corner of her mouth, and her face was a mask of hatred. She whipped her phone out and made a call.

"Gather all our men and get your asses to the Hudsons' villa. You have half an hour, or else!" She stomped out of the house and blocked the exit, staring at Elijah.

'He's just a piece of shit we flushed out of the house. He's an insect. I can crush him anytime,' thought Alicia. 'I'll cut your hands off for slapping me. That'll show you!'

About a minute later, a sea of cars stopped right outside the villa. A cold, cruel smile played on Alicia's lips, and she strode over, stopping the first car that came.

The driver slammed the emergency brakes and stuck his head out the window. "Are you fucking blind? You can't see this whole ass car coming your way?"

"Who's your boss, you bastard? How dare you talk to me like that!" Alicia's face fell. For a moment, she felt like an actual gang lord.

"M-Ms. Alicia? Why are you here? S-Sorry, he didn't recognize you. Don't take it to heart." The car's door opened, and a portly man chopped out, his fat jiggling. He faced Alicia with respect and apology.

"Ronald? Why are you here? Oh, right. Elijah whooped your men, didn't he? So, you're here for revenge?" Alicia was surprised to see Ronald Hangleton here, but then she thought it was reasonable.

The man nodded carefully. "Yes, are you here for him as well? Why don't we go in together, then?" Ronald was the leader of Bloodstride Gang, the same guy who knelt before the Summers' place for three days. He was a little scared of Alicia.

Alicia took that for granted. "Well, your men are here anyway. My men are probably on their way, but this will save me some time." She took the lead with full swagger, while Ronald and his men trailed behind. Together, they stormed into the Hudsons' place again.
