You’ll Be My Bride

Soft piano music pervaded the expensive and beautiful white hall of L&L, one of the top 40 most expensive halls in USA.

Laying on the seat were famous and wealthy figures in the business industry.

"Let the bride in." The MC, one of the most famous stars in the country, suddenly announced

Upon hearing the words, a handsome smile that stole the young ladies hearts appeared on Dylan's face.

Dylan rubbed his hands anxiously and neatly arranged his hair as if he didn't want his bride to see any part of him mismatched.

Aubree clenched the handkerchief in her hand in hatred, her finger dipping into her palm. Why should it be Lotus? Just why? Why did Lotus have to have it all? Despite sacrificing everything for Dylan, why did he end up marrying Lotus?

Despite the thoughts running through her mind, Aubree tried to fake a calm smile. Just soon. She had been patient all this day; a single misstep wouldn't ruin her handiwork.

The doorknob was suddenly pulled from outside, causing all the guests, including Dylan, to leap to their throats. Lotus had always been impeccably beautiful; they knew that today, being her day, Lotus would be exceptionally beautiful. All the guests could picture it.

The door was suddenly pushed in, and everyone gasped. Mr. Meyer and Mrs. Meyer stood up in shock. Why did Lotus come in without her wedding dress?

However, despite all the gaze running through her, Lotus leisurely strode in as if she were walking in her garden rather than on the red carpet of her wedding. "It's so lively here today." Lotus suddenly commented with a chuckle while making her way towards Dylan.

Dylan's brows furrowed, and he stared at her in confusion. "Lotus, what are you doing? Why aren't you in your wedding gown?" He inquires in confusion.

"Wedding gown? Why do I need it?" Lotus tilted her head and purposely knitted her brows, feigning confusion. Suddenly, her gaze fell towards the screen in a part of the hall, and she slowly raised her hand to point at it.

Although she had tried to adjust her emotions, the thought of how she had been played by those two for years stabbed her heart extremely. She took a deep breath and said in a shaky voice, "There."

Everyone turned to look at each other in bewilderment. "There?"

Dylan's lips parted in confusion. After the entrance of the bride, the memories of the couple will begin to play on the screen, which wasn't a big deal. So what's wrong?

Coincidentally, after Lotus's actions, the screen lit up in the hall.

However, before Dylan could say a word, a familiar voice and image appeared in his vision. "Dylan. Ah. There. Yes."

Upon seeing the blurred naked self of Aubree and him indulging in carnal pleasure on the bed two days before on the screen, Dylan's eyes widened in shock, but in the next minute, his eyes flashed with fury and embarrassment.

A shocked gasp befell the hall immediately; nobody expecting the sudden turn of events.

"Two days ago, including yesterday, my best friend and husband-to-be spent time indulging in carnal pleasure in my matrimonial home and matrimonial bed. Therefore, I Lotus Meyer refused to get married to Dylan today. Since both of you cheaters love each other so much, I am gifting today to you. Happy married life." Lotus calmly declared to everyone as the if she was reading an essay and not talking about her wedding. But if one took a look at her, one wouldn't fail to see her trembling body and her quivering lips.

'So shameless, aren't they best friends? And Dylan, too. How could the two be so shameless?

Lotus is more beautiful and intelligent than Aubree; how could Dylan be so stupid to cheat on a lady like Lotus?'

‘I have always thought Dylan is an ideal husband; it turns out that this is the type of person he is. So shameless!’

The ridiculing of the guest continuously filled Aubree's ears, making her face pale and her body shake. She sprang up, ran towards the stage, and pointed at the screen, her body trembling. "Turn it off. Turn it off, please. Lotus, please." Aubree cried out, tears streaming down her face rapidly, making one pity her.

Dylan's fist clenched at the sight, and he glared at Lotus before turning towards Aubree. Without hesitation, he strides towards Aubree and engulfs her in a hug. "It's okay. I'm here." He comforted the trembling lady in his arms without caring for anyone.

Aubree broke down in Dylan's hand and shook her head pitifully. "Dylan. Lotus. I'm sorry; it's all my fault. If I hadn't fallen in love with Dylan and seduce him, both of you will..." She paused and burst into louder tears

Dylan's heart clenched, and he glared at Lotus in hatred.

How dare she do this to her best friend? He felt a sense of pity and guilt overwhelm his heart; even though it was both of their fault, Aubree took the blame for his actions, unlike the heartless Lotus.

Dylan planted a kiss on Aubree's forehead and stroked her hair to calm her down. "No. No, darling, it's not your fault. It's that slut's fault. If she didn't want to get married, she could have told us. Rather, she had to set up her friend in such a humiliating way. She's such a cruel and heartless woman with care for none." Dylan looked at Lotus and articulated coldly, not bothering to hide anything.

Lotus's eyes widened, and her face paled immediately. Although the two were in the wrong, she never expected that they would use that chance to display their lovey-dovey and use that to switch things from black to white!

"Well. Since that's what you want, I'll get married to Aubree today." Dylan suddenly declared, causing a loud gasp to befall the hall.

'Did I just hear Dylan promising to marry Aubree? Such a daring couple!

I have never seen such a brazen couple before. However, it's so interesting. Lotus will certainly regret her actions now.

Lotus's eyes fell on Dylan, but he didn't bother to stare at her. His gaze was evasive, as if he were staring at something contemptuous. He sneered coldly. "Not only that, the bridal price I paid as an investment to clear the Meyer company from bankruptcy will be taken back. From now on, Dylan and the Meyer family will have nothing to do with each other. Lastly, the wedding will continue." Dylan coldly pronounced and separated from Aubree.

Right in Lotus and all the guests' faces, Dylan kissed Aubree deeply. "I'll wait for you, Aubree. Go and get prepared; you'll be my bride!" He declared and raised his lips in a pronounced sneer upon seeing Lotus's face pale.

Lotus's lips parted in a gasp, and she trembled in shock. She didn't expect things to end up beyond her power. She expected the revelation to humiliate the two, but she never expected that it'd really help the two get together. "Dy... Dylan...."

"You vile vixen, how dare you?" A disapproving masculine voice suddenly boomed in the hall, interrupting Lotus.

Mr. Meyer pointed towards Lotus in displeasure, his body shaking in anger. "You vile slut, how dare you do something wicked on such a happy day? I knew you were such a heartless daughter; the company is on the brink of bankruptcy, yet you do such a vile deed. Where do you expect the company to get a new investor? Where?" Mr. Meyer chided her loudly, not giving Lotus any face.

Lotus's face paled and her heart clenched. She was extremely shocked that her father would choose to bash her in the presence of everyone rather than support her.

Mr. Meyer cupped his fists towards Dylan fawningly. "Young master Dylan, the Meyer family knew nothing about Lotus' rash actions. Can you look at this old man's face to continue the wedding?" He asked shamelessly.

Lotus's eyes flew wide open, shocked by what she had just heard. Dylan had just cheated on her with her best friend; how can her dad? "Dad..."

"Did she look into our relationship before she humiliated us? I won't be getting married to such a vile woman." Dylan sneered and interjected coldly.

Mr. Meyer's face darkened, and he directed a sharp glare at Lotus before turning towards Dylan respectfully. "Son-in-law, speak whatever conditions of yours to continue this wedding; I'll accept them."

A wicked glint flickered past Dylan's eyes immediately. "On account of your face, it's not a problem to invest in your company." He cleared his throat and pointed at Lotus nonchalantly. "As long as she becomes my mistress, I'll overlook her past mistake and clear the debt." Dylan expressed this, causing everyone to gasp in disbelief.

That's Lotus Meyer. Did Dylan just state that Lotus, one of the most beautiful ladies in the country, became his mistress? How can he?

"You bastard. Don't go too far!" Lotus yelled at Dylan angrily. She had just called Aubree a homewrecker; how dare he attempt to make her one?

Dylan sneered coldly. "Go too far? You pushed me. You keep putting yourself at a high standard all this while; why do you think Aubree and I got together? You don't let me do anything to you. Tell me the man who won't be frustrated." He bellowed coldly.

Lotus's jaw fell wide, as if she couldn't believe that the reason Dylan cheated on her was due to such a nonsensical reason. “I don't kiss or do anything either, and that doesn't make me cheat on you!” She retorted.

Dylan's expression changed at her words, but he quickly waved his hands and assumed an indifferent stance. “Well. My rule is my rule.” Dylan simply stated, and his warning gaze fell on Mr. Meyer.

Mr. Meyer's harsh gaze fell on Lotus, unmoved by the guest’s mocking stare and words. “I'm telling you that we have to get that money. Guards, start packing young Miss Lotus's belongings. I want it to be at young master Dylan's place before the day after tomorrow. She'll be his from now on,” he declared righteously.

A loud gasp befell the hall.

Is Mr. Meyer crazy? That's Lotus, one of the most famous intelligent beauties in the country. How can he make her a mistress because of money?

‘Mr. Meyer's company' is shaking, but I didn't expect that he'd do something so cruel like this. In just a few years, Lotus will become a working woman. How can he give her to Dylan as a mistress after knowing how disgusting Dylan and Aubree are? In the end, Lotus will become a clipped bird.
