“Young Madam, a lady named Aster who claimed to be your sister is outside the mansion and asking for permission to see the young madam.” The sudden words of a guard outside the room drifted into Lotus' ears.

Immediately, Lotus paused the typing on her laptop, and her expression changed.

Lotus' eyes squinted, and different thoughts began to pervade her mind. This place had always been secretive and secure; how did Aster know of Zaire's mansion?

The more Lotus thought like this, the more her expression knitted due to confusion. A thought surfaced in her mind: something is amiss.

Immediately, Lotus' eyes flashed with an indecipherable glint. It was the day before that the issue with Aubree happened, and now Aster mysteriously knew her way to the mansion; Lotus doesn't believe that Aster is simply here for an innocent reason.

Lotus leaned back against the sofa, multiple emotions coursing through her. “Let her in.”

“Yes madam,” The guard responded respectfully and strode away.
