“Good night, mom and dad. Thanks for bringing us home.” Lotus in a silky pajama bowed and waved to Serenity and George until their car disappeared.

Lotus turned back and began to make her way toward the gorgeous mansion she resides in, but in the next minute, she paused in her steps and arched her brows.

Reuben rubbed his hands together and ran his hands through his hair nervously. He took a step forward; his eyes fell on the beautiful woman’s delicate face. “Lotus, I…”

Lotus pressed her lips together and stared at Reuben. She interjected calmly before he could complete his words, “I am sorry, Reuben.”

Upon hearing Lotus’s response, Reuben's eyes were filled with sadness, yet he nodded his head in acknowledgment.

Reuben lowered his head to stare at the woman’s face and calmly responded, “I understand. I just wanted to confess to you. I will be sad if I don’t.”

Lotus’ lips curled up in a smile, and she nodded her head indifferently. “Hm. Goodnight.” As soon as she completed her words
