Chapter 1

It was a dazzling party with lights flashing.

Clever felt dizzy when he drunk the liquor and when he woke up he was laid on the dirty and cold floor. He tried to stand, but the man stepped on his shoulder and pushed him down again. 

“Who gave you permission to get up? ” 

He punched him in the face and twisted the left arm. 

In the world of Alphas, if you are not the one to die, you are the one to kill. 

In split second he felt a needle sink into his skin, it stabbed in his neck causing the man to feel dizzy when someone stabbed him in the abdomen.

“What? Still arrogant ha! ” 

If he can't beat them all, it would be better for him to run away and just retreat from the fight.

Aching......

Clever managed to open his eyes and found a man with light golden hair bandaging him.

“I am so lucky to run into a kind-hearted man who is willing to save me.” Clever thought to himself.

But then he would regret what he thought.

He would be even more receptive if a woman bathed him and held his whole body!

But not! 

It seemed that the Alpha was actually unlucky today because a man picked him up. 

Who is he to complain or choose who should pick up and help him?

What Clever just can't accept is the fact that now that his whole body has been touched by the man. He almost stiffened in each combing of the man’s fingers through his hair.

Clever could not help but twitch his body. 

"Hey, don't be nervous, I'm just cleaning your body so your wound will not get infected." said the man when he noticed the husky’s nervousness.

"I'm not nervous, you idiot! Don't touch me! I'm an Alpha, no one dares to touch me!" 

The dog roared but the man didn't bug, he just pat the head of the dog to calm it down.

"Shh, calm down. I'm not going to hurt you," the sweet voice of the man make Clever to shut up.

When the man had finished bathed the wolf, he immediately carried it to his own bed and put it in his own thigh. He started drying the dog's hair with the blower, even though Clever wanted to refuse because of his uncomfortable position on the man's thigh, he couldn't do anything. 

He had to pretend he was a normal dog and was unaware of what was happening! Even if he wanted to jump off the man's lap he couldn't! 

Whatever he wanted to do he couldn’t do and he was disgusted because of it. Why did this happen? He just wanted to escape from his enemies at that time, he never thought that this is what he would suffer!

"He can dry me without me sitting on his thigh! Why is it necessary for him to dry me in this position ?!" Clever complained to himself. He felt very ashamed at those times. 

He knew that they were the only two in that room but he was still uneasy. In his mind someone would suddenly enter the room and see the strange position they have now. He could not imagine that such a thing could happen. 

He’s a pack leader and hell just be seen in an awkward position with a guy? Of course he wouldn't let that happen! In the form of a wolf and lying on a man's lap? ha! who does he intend to fool? He could not bear to be seen by others as a poor dog!

Clever only felt comfortable when the man put him down on the bed to treat his wound. His hand carefully avoided hurting Clever.

Once Clever fell addicted to the soft touching, the man stood up to take a dog plate and put pet food on it. 

Clever winched at the sight, he hadn't thought of such a thing! and on second thought he much seemed to prefer to fight than to eat the dog food in front of him. 

"Oh, eat that. It'll be easier for your wound to heal." Man said while smiling and patting his head. 

"Hah! He really thinks I'm just a normal dog! Oh dude! Let me tell you, I'm a wolf! Wolf!" Clever said arrogantly to himself. He can't accept how the man treat him like a normal dog, but on the second thought, he can't really blame it.

Clever could smell the unpleasant smell of Dog food, but he had to eat it because the man was watching him.

Why is it that, this is the first way he thought of and did not think of another solution to escape from the enemies! He scolded himself.

Gradually, he still ate the dog food given by the man even though he was forced to, if he was only in his human form, he would have been vomiting because of the smell.

"Oh Moon Goddess! I miss the food at home," Clever thought. After he finished his food, the man immediately took a bath and fell asleep. Clever took this opportunity to return to his normal form when he noticed that the man was sound asleep already. 

He tried .... 

And tried,but when he repeatedly tries to return to his normal form, nothing happens! 

He could not! whatever he do, he could not return to being a human, he immediately looked at where the dog plate was placed. 

"Is it because I ate dog food that I really became a dog?" Clever was terrified of the thought.

He couldn't be bothered with the thought, how now? what will he do to get back to normal! he looked at the man's phone and immediately took it with his mouth. He tried to open it and fortunately there was no password nor security pattern. 

Clicking the message with his sharp nails, he almost scratched the screen of the cellphone before he could open it, finally he opened the message app, he knew it was difficult but he still tried to compose a message for his men. 

Fortunately, he happens to memorize a number of one of his men, so he start the message to let his men know what had happened. From that time on, he was ambushed and until now that there still someone was looking for him and also he warned his people that those people wanted to seize his position.

But for f*ck*ng sake! He accidentally tap the home bottom so the screen back to home screen. He almost roared from the frustration he felt that time, but he stop him self to make a noise. After all, the owner of the phone is sleeping.

"This is the worst!" The man complaint but he tried and tried again.

Finally he was able to send the message to his people. He deleted it before returning the phone where he had taken it earlier.

Unwillingly, his eyes really wanted to close, he was dragged by drowsiness due to fatigue. lying down on the small sofa, he fell asleep.

A fragrant smell woke Clever up, this is the first time he could smell homemade again ever since his parents left him.

Wait Left?!

Hes alone, then who's the one cooking?! 

Clever immediately got up but lying down again because of the pain he felt on the side of his stomach due to his sudden getting up from the bed.

Then he remembered that he was not in his own house, more than that he was still in the form of a wolf! 

He try to get up in the second time, he slowly stood up and walked into the kitchen. From where he was standing, he could see the delicious food lying on the table, but it was as if heaven and earth had fallen on him when he looked down at the dog plate containing the dog food that he knew it was for him.

The man turned to where the dog was standing and smiled to him. 

 

"Seriously? If I'm just a normal dog and he smiles at me, he will look crazy." said cleverly in his mind. 

Clever was surprised when the man was already sitting in front of him so he immediately backed away, but the man stroked his head. 

"I'm sorry, I surprised you, come and eat your food, I added a little more because last night I felt like I didn't give you enough." 

The man said cheerfully. But for Clever, just as he expected, heaven and earth really fell on him because of his wrong decision in life.

 

His muscles would almost tremble because of the amount of dog food he was facing now. Add to this, the delicious smell of the food on the table make him more feel miserable.

The man put on formal clothes when Clever was busy with chewing the food. 

"I'm going somewhere now cutie, I'll leave you with my friend who owns a pet shop first, okay?" the man stood up and took the dog's leash.

"What the! Don't tell me he's going to tie me up with that dog leash of his!"

Unbelievably Clever stared at the man as he got closer and closer to him. Clever just wants to run with what's going on, He's a Leader of the pack. Hes an Alpha! he did not expect to defile his character just because he could not return to his normal form.

But Clever could do nothing when the man tie the leash around his neck and pulled him out, if his people see him at this rate, they might be laughing at him right now!

As they walked, Clever suddenly felt strange. Clever immediately turned to their left and right as well as behind, he knew someone was following them. He looked at the man, even though the man fed him dog food, he did not want this fragile looking man to be involved in the chaos of his life. 

He immediately ran away to distract those guy, but the man did not expect what he did and so let go of the leash.

But Clever did not hear someone’s footsteps following him. He turned around and found they just kept following the man. 

The man saved him, maybe he should save the man too!

But how? how could he save the man in this form? Ah! never mind, he had to save the man first and think it later!
