He didn't see it coming. His back was turned, watching the hall for his beautiful hybrid. Something sharp stabs his neck, and the ground rushes up to meet him. Arms wrap around his shoulders, slamming his head against the bars. When he recovers consciousness, Nora is staring down at him with a triumphant grin. It only takes a second for him to feel it-a a mate's mark.
