Chapter Twenty-Four IV

"You're my wife, Sophia."

"No, no, no, it's impossible." She let out an awkward chuckle then she let go of Vincent's hand. "I'm going out. Thanks for the treat but I have to go now."

She gets out of her seat and stands up. However, when she was about to walk out of their table, he stopped her by grabbing her wrist. He's holding it firmly with his calloused cold hand. As he was holding her wrist, the fear of losing her came back to him all over again. For a moment, he doesn't want to let go of her hand, he simply just couldn't afford to see her walk away again.

"No, please stay. I-I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said that" he apologized with his hand not letting go of her wrist, not giving her a chance of going away.

"I'm sorry but this whole thing is making me uncomfortable. I don't know if what you're saying is true or not, but even so, I don't want to know the answer. I'm fine with my life now. I don't want to remember anything from the past so I'm sorry...
