Gwen's POV

I was frankly grateful to have Israel on my side now that I'm struggling with the most unforeseen, grave circumstances I ever faced in my entire life as a silver.

We spent our time and energy conversing, but the topic wasn't heavy unlike my situation in reality, which was too much for the average person's brain to cope with.

Suddenly, a moment of stillness fell between us until I realized something substantial that moment and broke the silence.

"I appreciate all you've done to me, Israel. But I wonder why are you always nice to me?"

"Well, I know I'm not very cordial nor likable but... I know you deserve all the nice things that happen to you," he said with his usual warm smile. That was something I've noticed he does a lot when talking to me; his soft smile yet held something unfathomable.

"Without you, I can't imagine how hard my life has gotten. You were there at the very gloom of my life. You witnessed how dangerous your life can be near me, but you never hesitated, e

And she granted my wish by giving us another life. In our new world, your life was bound to another mate." "And yours?" "To protect you. That's paramount. To give you the shelter you need when you can't find a peaceful one. And to stay with you at dark times." My heart sank upon receiving that sort of disclosure. How could I forget all the reasons he gave to stay with me? If we couldn't have each other, what kind of existence would it be living like that? The very thought left me dizzy, and I had no choice but to absorb all the reality. "You chose this kind of life, Israel, right?" "You are in pain, Gwen. You can't control your emotions. And the only way to watch you smile was to erase your memories, and live a new life." "You accepted all the consequences." He nodded. "For you, I did." "But that wa

The night was cold, the sky clear, stars shining brightly in the sky. In short, I am currently seeing a perfect view. I've been trying to concentrate on this wonderful view, however, my senses kept pulling back from the scenario earlier.I lost consciousness because of a bizarre woman who had dragged me to an unfamiliar place. Luckily, Israel was there and when I woke up, he apprise me that the woman who showed up was another witch who came from a vicious, dark force. An evil creature who's also thirsty for my blood.Everyone was sleeping peacefully in their beds now; there wasn't a sound except for the gentle rustling of leaves as they gently brushed against each other, and the chirping of crickets and other insects. I can't sleep though. I'm wide awake and restless. My eyes are glued to the window, my ears straining to hear anything outside. There's a strange noise coming from somewhere, some kind of muffled step that doesn’t stop. To check if the noise is real or not, I slowly op

The scene she showed up was the image of my sister slowly dying from the black smoke that consumed her alive."Stop! Please?!" I begged the woman until she stopped."Does it mean agreeing with me?" she asked calmly as if nothing happened."I'll let you convince me in an appropriate way until I agreed on your proposal.""That's what I wanted to hear, Gwen." she smiled evilly, and if I'm being honest, I despised her gesture."I'll give you five hours to rest and then equip yourself. I'll show you my kingdom," she declared until she walked out of the room. The others also followed her, leaving me alone with my thoughts. I sat there for a long time, unable to move, while my mind tried to find an escape route. I thought about my sisters. I surveyed the entire surroundings, trying to find a way. After several minutes, I gave up. There wasn't any obvious way out of this place except for surrendering. But what I said earlier was just a lie. I was just hoping someone could help me escape from

The only sound was my blood thudding in my entire body."I've said earlier that you can heal lifeless bodies. And yes, you can resurrect those who have lost their lives, but that's only limited," she explicated. "However, there's a way to make your power ceaseless, Gwen.""What is it then?"Her brows furrowed with concentration as her hand moved over my hand and opened it, caressing it as if I were a fragile flower. "That's for you to decide." a smile tugged at her lips. "I can only help you so far.""How long do I need to figure this out?" I asked. "Why don't you just say it directly to my face?""I'm giving you a hint. Even if I tell you, the choice you'll make shall sincere. You have to give me half of your silver blood. You have to be with us, Gwen."I chuckled upon hearing the frivolous proposal. "

Gwen's POVThey've been searching for me. After watching how my parents desperately tried to find me in every possible location they could think of, I'm pretty sure they won't give up on the search. When the fleeting moments went by, I decided to remove the necklace from my neck and put it inside my pocket. I've watched my history with Israel, and everything he told me was true. His details were accurate; no lies were hidden within his words. Unfortunately, when I tried to find any history with Alpha Ace, all that came was empty. That proved that Alpha Ace wasn't my mate in my past life. When I finished pondering that matter, I decided it was time to go out of the room where Lily sent me to think and rest.As I went out, I walked directly to Lily's chamber and knocked on the door. After a few seconds, she opened the door and looked at me expectantly. "Come in."When I did as she said, we sat across each other across the table with two cups of steaming hot tea. "As far as I know, you came from a lousy grave. From the most stupid place on land. So why are you here?"I stopped before the puddle of dirty water and glanced at her hideous face. He was breathing very hard, his chest rising and falling with rapid, shallow breaths as if he'd run a long distance. Gwen's POV I shifted into a silver werewolf and attacked the first vampire who tried to come close to me. For every attempt of an enemy toward me, I snapped his neck with one of my claws until blood flowed freely down his throat. There was no way I would go after them without getting at least a couple of hits. I could not count how many foes I had killed today, but each one left me satisfied in ways that nothing else could. I glanced to the right side and saw my parents, Vera with Valir, fighting off five vampires at once, using their claws to slash their throats open as quickly as if they were swatting mosquitoes away. On the other side, I saw the Packs, Israel, and the other witches fighting off another group of enemies. The fairies were helping out with the battle on their end as well. The shield they were casting toward us was impenetrable against any magical attack. And it was also holding back all of the attacks and then throwing them back to the enemies. The war conti

Vera smiled at her husband, who is now looking down on her. She wrapped her arms around Valir's neck and kissed him passionately. The tears began to form again, as Valir can feel Vera's soft lips on his and can't help but kiss back passionately, wrapping his arms around her waist tightly. After a few minutes of a passionate kiss, the couple slowly parted. Both were out of breath. Vera wiped away her tears, looked at her husband lovingly, and whispered, "Who made this?" Valir pointed at me with a smile, tears of joy were visible in their eyes and I could not help but feel happy for both of them. "Gwen granted my favor. She resurrected you," Israel explained. Afterward, the fairies, watches, and Israel decided to come with me to ensure that Valir and his companions would not gonna hurt her. I know they all are worried for me. They also know there was another way to end this war. And that is to do this man's favor. Currently, we were walking into the forest surrounded by numerous huge trees that seemed to be ancient. The air around us was not polluted but somehow different from the usual forest. We walked slowly as the gust of wind blew at us gently. It didn't seem to bother us but the forest itself was weirdly quiet. I could sense a stink in th

"You want her back?" I asked him as I strode a few steps. He nodded. "Then why do you have to kill numerous innocent creatures in this land? I closed my eyes and waited. After the briefest second had passed I felt someone's hand taking mine and guiding me. "Don't open unless I say so.""Sure."We stopped moving for about ten seconds. Some noises echoed around us in the air. The sound of a peaceful night where birds chirped at the moon's reflection off the calm lake water. My eyes were still closed but my lips curled into a moon crescent."Now, open your eyes."My eyes immediately opened. We were no longer standing outside the house. Instead, we were standing in a place completely different from anything I'd ever seen. It looked like we were in an underground cavern or a cave under a rock somewhere. • Tempting the Silver Werewolf   Chapter 118. Curiosity

Gwen's POVHere I am outside the house, conversing with my allies. The Aqua Rune Pack, fairies, witches, and the other subordinates who support us in this messy journey of mine. The truth that I'd been hiding for quite a long time was now revealed. All of them knows I was a silver werewolf and my blood can both heal and kill. This ability was given to only a few creatures and despite its advantage of it, I can't help but feel guilty especially with the fact that this ability failed to save my sister. For the very first time in my history, I felt like mucky trash because of that. But all I could do to make my sister happy was to keep fighting and be the best version of myself. While we were occupied chatting with one another, one of the fairies floated in the air as if she needs to convey important matters."Another battle will soon break out between us and vampires" she began. "We need to be vigilant."I was stunned to hear those declarations and another pang struck me in the chest.

Gwen's POVIt was early in the morning when I woke up and got up from bed to start my day. I glanced at my side only to see that Alpha wasn't here with me. Soon as my gaze diverted to the bedside table next to where I was lying on it I could see a glass of water sitting there along with a note written in her messy cursive. 'Good morning. You must have been tired since you first encountered the real life of a silver werewolf, so I didn't wake you up. You've done so many things for us and me. It's my turn, my luna. I love you.'I gasped lightly feeling a lump form in the back of my throat before wiping away my tears. I sat up and grabbed the glass of water and gulped it down without hesitation. After putting the empty glass back on the side table.Where did he go?I walked out and went to the kitchen downstairs. "Good morning, sweetheart." mom approached and kissed me on the forehead. But it isn't. She's dead and now there is nothing left for me but grief and the guilt I've been carrying around with me. Every time I recollected our memories together, it always brought up fresh tears that would fall from my eyes and I didn't even bother wiping them away. I just wanted to relish everything even if that means torturing myself with the fact that it was just a memory that will not be able to happen again. I couldn't help but blame myself for what happened because I knew that I should have done something to save her but I was so dumb. I tried my very best to heal her that time but it didn't work.
