With all might, Alpha jumped through the air and tackled Delphine. He may succeed in capturing her, but he can't still rip her apart because of her power.

Delphine and the other witches can teleport, but not without some kind of magical item. As soon as she regained her balance, she turned around and attacked back with equal ferocity. She was a fierce witch whose every movement and every word were meant to hurt or destroy.

Another presence emerged out of nowhere, and I was speechless when I realized it was Matt and Israel in their wolf form. They all fought against the witches like an endless battle, but the fight seemed nonsense as I witnessed how fast their enemies could disappear after every one of their attacks hit.

'Get back, Gwen!' Matt ordered me as our minds linked.

'No!"

He gave me a disapproving stare but agreed anyway before continuing the fight.

Scrutinizing the scene more closely, I noticed something peculiar about Delphine. Her necklace kept glowing bright green, bec

I woke up panting, my heart racing like a racehorse as my hands gripped the sheets of my bed tightly, my chest felt tight, and my skin prickled with sweat and fear."Gwen?" Alpha inquired, a voice soft but with an air of worry behind it; he was sitting beside me on my bed. "You okay?"I glanced at him to see his concern and let out a breath I didn't even know I had been holding. "It's just the dreams," I said. "They're so vivid."Closing my eyes for a moment, I took a deep breath before opening them again, focusing on Alpha."But you are here now. There's no reason to worry," I reassured, and my anxiety started to seep away. Our eyes locked onto each other, and we both smiled softly. Alpha looked relieved, as if all of the burden and worry from earlier had vanished. My mind drifted back to the scenario that had transpired yesterday, and my heart started to gallop as I remembered how I had said those words.Holy shit!So... did I accept him as my mate?"Are you thinking if you gonna ta

Sunshine is streaming in through the wide window of Alpha's room where I am currently, a soft light on the white walls around me, illuminating the room with a golden glow that reflected the sunlight that filtered through the sheer curtain at either side of the bed. With that pretty disturbance of sun, I stood up from the bed and stretched, a yawn escaping my lips before I turned to get dressed into something appropriate for the day. Alpha is not here and is undoubtedly occupied doing something outside.I went to the bathroom to fix and smooth down my hair, brushing my teeth afterward to make sure it looked good when I met up with him later. "Good morning, Gwen!" a cheerful voice greeted me. I smiled at Mrs. Athena in greeting before she came over to greet me, her bright grin matching my own. "You're awake early today.""Did you sleep well?" Mr. Rivo asked; he was sitting on the couch with a newspaper as usual. The smell of coffee lingered around him, making me crave it."Yeah," I sim

His eyes filled with painful tears and hurt. And yet they held so much controllable anger, which I never saw before. My chest tightened. I was urged to comfort, keep him tight, and protect him as he had done for me. But here I am, watching him crying, and even without articulating any words; I think I already understood the answer to what was bothering him. "Are you happy?" he asked, voice low and emotionless. He stared at me with such intensity that I could feel the pressure of his stare on me. I swallowed hard before looking away from him. "Answer me." "It was my choice." It was all I could say. The words stuck in my throat, refusing to flee. "Please, tell me exactly what's your problem, Matt. Don't make things hard." "The Alpha told me you accepted him as your mate. Is it true?" he asked until he walked fast toward me, grabbing my shoulder tightly. "Please tell me no, Gwen. I promise to do anything you want. Tell me it's a lie..." The tears started to form in my eyes when the p

"Gwen?"Someone called behind me, and I knew it, Alpha Ace. His approaching step was enough to stop me from shedding tears as I veered around, my face already red from the heat of my tears. I look up at him, trying not to succumb to the temptation to cry again. There's no use in being a silver werewolf that can heal anyone's wound if I can't do anything about this stupid fucking curse on my life."What happened?" he was surprised to see me in this state; he lifted my chin only to scan my tear-stained face. "Tell me, did he hurt you?"Before I could utter a word, another presence arrived on our left side; it was Israel, and his eyes drifted on me with worry. Israel took a deep sigh, shaking his head sadly. Even without explaining myself, Israel knew why I was acting like this, even if Ace didn't."Gwen? Why are you crying? Please... tell me what happened? Where is Matt? Did you fight?" Alpha Ace's tone was desperate, but I ignored him when I saw how Israel looked at me with pity. "It'

"Gwen?"My sister's voice echoed throughout the room as she saw me standing at the frame door. She scurried to hug me. "Oh, Gwen, I'm so glad you're safe. We missed you!"With one tight embrace, I felt soothed and reassured by her presence. It's been a week since I saw my sister and my parents. But this morning, I decided to visit them with Alpha Ace, who was now standing behind me."I miss you, my sister!" I hugged her back just as tightly."Come in!" she said, pulling away from me and taking hold of my hand as we walked inside the house. "Welcome to our home, Alpha. I'm glad you're here."Alpha Ace stepped inside next to me. "I'm happy to be here, Ms. Filomena."My father sat on his favorite rocking chair, reading the news, and my mother looked up when we entered. Her eyes widened in surprise as she took me into her arms. "Oh my god, Gwen?!"Just like my sister, she ran towards me in tears. She embraced me for a long time before looking at my face with teary eyes. "We've heard wha

One week has gone by after I visit my family. I spent my day wandering the forest with Alpha Ace. The feeling is beyond words, seeing how Alpha was eager to help me in finding Matt.He should be mad, not because he was betrayed, but because his feelings are valid; he set aside his sentiments to prove he was there for me, even at my worst. He did it because of love and concern. It's early morning; the sun is just peeking over the horizon. We're resting under the shade of a massive maple tree, watching birds fly in all directions."You're doing well, Gwen," he said with a beam. "That was impressive. To learn by yourself.""What makes you say that?" I queried, giving him a questioning glare."I've witnessed your strength for every training session," he said straight into my eyes. "And you honestly impressed me.""I can't see myself just how you see me," I confessed. It felt weird admitting that much of my identity to him. He's seen me in many things, including being a great and beautiful

"Surrender your blood to us; then you can have your undying liberty." His answer surprised me so much that I froze where I stood, unsure how to respond. Opening my mouth, I tried to speak up, but my throat won't cooperate as if I'd lost the use of it. Then he spoke again, causing me to react finally. "Is that for real?" "That's insane!" Alpha exclaimed, shaking his head violently. "She will die if she does!" "She needs to end the curse, or else the rest of us could be in danger! And she could only stop the curse if she accepted the sacrifice," Mojerio elucidated, ignoring Alpha's comment. "Mojerio… don't do this to us!" I was stunned when Mrs. Athena scurried toward Mojerio. She knelt before him as well, begging to save my life. "Athena!" Mr. Rivo ran up to his wife, grasping her by her shoulder. "Stop and give me time to decide," I said with finality without thinking twice, surprising even myself. "What? You're insane, Gwen!" Alpha grabbed my waist, trying to prevent me from

Alpha was stunned to see me in this sad state. The dried tears in my eyes were evidence enough that I had cried. It was obvious how upset I was, and there was no reason to hide it anymore. They'd been through a lot, and the fact they didn't know what to do for me showed just how far gone I was."Gwen?" he strode toward me, and instead of asking, he hugged me tightly as if trying to keep me from breaking apart further. He kissed me softly on the cheek and rested his chin on top of my head. "It's okay. I'm here."These are just simple words, but enough to soothe me somehow. However, that cannot change the fact that I have to choose whatever I think is best for us and everyone. It took a moment for me to pull myself together, but eventually, I did and pulled away from him, taking a deep breath before responding. "I need to go. Your father was right; I was a bane to your existence. And the only way to protect you, all of you, is to go to a place where nobody will ever find me, where nobod

  • Tempting the Silver Werewolf   Chapter 124. The final battle

Gwen's POV I shifted into a silver werewolf and attacked the first vampire who tried to come close to me. For every attempt of an enemy toward me, I snapped his neck with one of my claws until blood flowed freely down his throat. There was no way I would go after them without getting at least a couple of hits. I could not count how many foes I had killed today, but each one left me satisfied in ways that nothing else could. I glanced to the right side and saw my parents, Vera with Valir, fighting off five vampires at once, using their claws to slash their throats open as quickly as if they were swatting mosquitoes away. On the other side, I saw the Packs, Israel, and the other witches fighting off another group of enemies. The fairies were helping out with the battle on their end as well. The shield they were casting toward us was impenetrable against any magical attack. And it was also holding back all of the attacks and then throwing them back to the enemies. The war conti

Valir was taken aback as if he couldn't believe that his wife is finally here in front of him. He walked toward her and caressed her face with his warm hands. "Oh god... you're alive." Vera smiled at her husband, who is now looking down on her. She wrapped her arms around Valir's neck and kissed him passionately. The tears began to form again, as Valir can feel Vera's soft lips on his and can't help but kiss back passionately, wrapping his arms around her waist tightly. After a few minutes of a passionate kiss, the couple slowly parted. Both were out of breath. Vera wiped away her tears, looked at her husband lovingly, and whispered, "Who made this?" Valir pointed at me with a smile, tears of joy were visible in their eyes and I could not help but feel happy for both of them. "Gwen granted my favor. She resurrected you," Israel explained. Suddenly, Valir amb

Before I could accompany him, my parents and Israel talked to me first. They are worried but the witches and fairies suggested that Valir's intention was real. And I have to give a shot to end this battle with no one being harmed or killed. Afterward, the fairies, watches, and Israel decided to come with me to ensure that Valir and his companions would not gonna hurt her. I know they all are worried for me. They also know there was another way to end this war. And that is to do this man's favor. Currently, we were walking into the forest surrounded by numerous huge trees that seemed to be ancient. The air around us was not polluted but somehow different from the usual forest. We walked slowly as the gust of wind blew at us gently. It didn't seem to bother us but the forest itself was weirdly quiet. I could sense a stink in th

Gwen's POV"My wife is dead, and I want to resurrect her."The moment Valir said those words, I felt sad for him, not only because he lost a woman who meant the world to him, but also because of the bitter fact that he chose to become evil. "You want her back?" I asked him as I strode a few steps. He nodded. "Then why do you have to kill numerous innocent creatures in this land? Why do you have to watch in your own eyes how hard they suffer? Why do you keep spreading cruelty when there's a way to become one of us!""That's the only way to resurrect my wife! You know nothing about my pain!""I know your pain. I lost someone because of you! I lost my sister and my best friend!" I yelled with all anger as I remembered everything. "I will tell you now, Valir... you can never resurrect your wife no matter how numerous creatures or silver werewolves you kill!""How could you deduce that?!""Because only my kind... can give another life!""Then why don't you heal your sister if that's tru

Gwen's POVIn just an instant where we emerged outside my house. The view that greeted us was too unexpected.Everyone was having a massive fight with our enemies. "Gwen! Careful in every way!" Israel warned before he attacked the black werewolves. He is a half-witch and half werewolf but he prefers fighting in a human form where he can use his magic to kill.I scanned the entire surrounding and realized that even my parents were currently in a fight. The enemy is many, and I couldn't count them all by hand. They're running around everywhere, making everything worse.I hide behind the thick bush and quickly transformed into my silver wolf form. I ran at full speed towards where they were fighting. In just a blink of an eye, I'm among them and immediately attacked the wolves attacking Rini. Since I am silver, I can take out three or four of the enemies. One of the remaining creatures decided it was time to attack my father and so I dashed and jumped on him. I bit down on his neck wit

Gwen's POV"I wanna show you something to you, Gwen. If you're into it, close your eyes."My curiosity became even more heightened with the mention of what could happen. My heart started beating faster and the cold air around me started to become chilly as well. This was it. I closed my eyes and waited. After the briefest second had passed I felt someone's hand taking mine and guiding me. "Don't open unless I say so.""Sure."We stopped moving for about ten seconds. Some noises echoed around us in the air. The sound of a peaceful night where birds chirped at the moon's reflection off the calm lake water. My eyes were still closed but my lips curled into a moon crescent."Now, open your eyes."My eyes immediately opened. We were no longer standing outside the house. Instead, we were standing in a place completely different from anything I'd ever seen. It looked like we were in an underground cavern or a cave under a rock somewhere. Everything seemed extremely bright as if a light bul

  • Tempting the Silver Werewolf   Chapter 118. Curiosity

Gwen's POVHere I am outside the house, conversing with my allies. The Aqua Rune Pack, fairies, witches, and the other subordinates who support us in this messy journey of mine. The truth that I'd been hiding for quite a long time was now revealed. All of them knows I was a silver werewolf and my blood can both heal and kill. This ability was given to only a few creatures and despite its advantage of it, I can't help but feel guilty especially with the fact that this ability failed to save my sister. For the very first time in my history, I felt like mucky trash because of that. But all I could do to make my sister happy was to keep fighting and be the best version of myself. While we were occupied chatting with one another, one of the fairies floated in the air as if she needs to convey important matters."Another battle will soon break out between us and vampires" she began. "We need to be vigilant."I was stunned to hear those declarations and another pang struck me in the chest.

Gwen's POVIt was early in the morning when I woke up and got up from bed to start my day. I glanced at my side only to see that Alpha wasn't here with me. Soon as my gaze diverted to the bedside table next to where I was lying on it I could see a glass of water sitting there along with a note written in her messy cursive. 'Good morning. You must have been tired since you first encountered the real life of a silver werewolf, so I didn't wake you up. You've done so many things for us and me. It's my turn, my luna. I love you.'I gasped lightly feeling a lump form in the back of my throat before wiping away my tears. I sat up and grabbed the glass of water and gulped it down without hesitation. After putting the empty glass back on the side table.Where did he go?I walked out and went to the kitchen downstairs. "Good morning, sweetheart." mom approached and kissed me on the forehead. I smiled softly at her and nodded. My mother has always taken care of me. From the beginning, she did

Gwen's POVTwo have passed ever since my sister was killed by one of our greatest foes. I don't feel anything other than the sorrow of losing someone so dear to me and I know that my parents feel the same pain as well. The exact scene of how the black werewolf slain her was still vivid in my mind like a nightmare and if it's just a dream, then I want to wake up. But it isn't. She's dead and now there is nothing left for me but grief and the guilt I've been carrying around with me. Every time I recollected our memories together, it always brought up fresh tears that would fall from my eyes and I didn't even bother wiping them away. I just wanted to relish everything even if that means torturing myself with the fact that it was just a memory that will not be able to happen again. I couldn't help but blame myself for what happened because I knew that I should have done something to save her but I was so dumb. I tried my very best to heal her that time but it didn't work.
