When Clyde woke up and glanced his head to the side, the first thing he saw was Yvette's sleeping face.

Clyde noticed how angelic she was when she wasn't awake because she wouldn't show how fierce her eyes were. He stared at her for a minute, admiring her calmness, which he was proud of.

He would rather sacrifice himself and save her from danger than lose another life. She may not be his real wife, but the urge to protect her from everything is just too strong for Clyde.

Yvette slowly opened her eyes and found Clyde's gaze locked on hers. She looked at him shamelessly.

It was the most amusing part about Yvette for Clyde because she's fearless. She's not easily fazed by someone's presence. She's not easily shy. She would stare back as if she knew that it took a lot of courage to bend her.

"What are you staring at?" Yvette asked bluntly.

"I'm just amused that you sleep like an angel behind that demon girl I know," he said raspily.
