Ava mouthed a “oh”.

“But I think Sophia is working for Lucas!”. Kayla suddenly said.

“You think Sophia is working for Lucas? Why would she sell him out then?”.

“Sophia is working for who?”. Oliver said, taking a seat beside Ava on the couch as he pulled her closer.

“For us! She wants to work for us”. Ava said nervously.

“Right Kayla?”. She added, looking over at Kayla.

Kayla's eyes widened in shock, as she stared at Ava angrily. She basically doesn’t know how to lie.

“Yes! She.. Ummm she wants to work for us!”. She responded, stuttering.

Oliver raised an eyebrow, clearly not convinced by their response. "Why would she want to work for us? What does she even do?" he asked, suspicion evident in his tone.

Ava and Kayla exchanged a nervous glance, unsure of ho
