When I opened my eyes, I immediately noticed that I am in my familiar room. I darted my eyes until it landed to the woman sitting next to me.
"My daughter, I'm so glad you're awake," she said and turned to the door. "Manang Ising, get Reign's things ready, we'll be dressing her up."
I frowned because of what I heard.
"Mom, what's going on?"
Instead of answering my question, she hugged me tightly. I felt the warmth of her embrace for the first time, something that I haven't felt for a long time. It felt so foreign like I am hugging someone else and not my very own mother.
