Chapter 49

Andrew's POV

I could not believe I was actually standing in front of the building.

The building was two stories tall and contained several apartments.

“Are you sure this is the place Fred?” I asked.

“Yes boss. This is Jane's address. She is in room number six on the ground floor.

I can not believe the search for Gwen led me here; I have never been anywhere like this.

I sauntered into the building, accompanied by Fred, who was nearly twice my size.

We arrived at a door with the number 6 written boldly on it. I was already here, and I can not turn back now.

I reluctantly knocked on the door and heard a voice say, "I will be there in a sec."

Shortly after, the door opened, and in front of me stood a blonde woman about Gwen's age.

She was wearing an apron and her cheeks were covered in flour. The smile on her face disappeared the moment she saw me.

“Jane?” I asked firmly. I had never met Jane before; I only knew her name because Gwen frequently mentioned it.

“Yes. What are you doing here?
