VIOLET

I'd originally been worried about being able to do a good job as Enzo's PA, but I'd come to realize that it wasn't as difficult as I'd thought. Thankfully, my attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills certainly came in handy.

It wasn’t always going to be smooth sailing, but I felt that the first day ended on a positive note. It was great to feel useful. Part of me had worried that I’d fuck everything up, but it didn’t seem to happen.

There were plenty of gawkers anytime that I was around other employees, especially when I’d made my way down to the cafeteria, but I didn’t let it bother me. Something Mom used to say was ‘some people just need a high-five to the face with a chair.’ I couldn’t agree more. That thought helped me to keep my sanity.

I could see myself really enjoying working here. I just hoped that I had what it took in the long run and trusted that my boss would be honest with me about my performance.

Niccolò was acting oddly on the drive home.
